Hokuto no Ken Kyuukyoku Kaisetsusho: Sekimatsu Haou Retsuden (Fist of the North Star
Ultimate Handbook: History of the Century's End Conqueror) is one of many books released in Japan about Hokuto no Ken.. This book contains features such as interviews with the creators of the series, reprints of the Hokuto no Ken prototype mangas, character profiles, and, most importantly of all for some fans, character tier lists. Many characters in the series have all been given power rankings, letting fans find out who the most powerful characters are. The rankings apparently aren't meant to be taken too seriously, so naturally, fans swear by them and whenever a debate starts over if <character> could defeat <character>, you can pretty much guarantee that somebody will quote from this thing.
If a character is missing from the list below, it is either because they were not given a rating in the book (such as Mamiya) or did not appear in the manga (such as Barcom and Boltz) as the book does not mention any of the anime exclusive characters.

In addition to their level grade, each character is also given ratings for the following categories -power, speed, skills, looks and charisma. The marks for these ratings are out of 5. Each character's name links to an episode/manga chapter which, in my opinion, demonstrates why that character is worthy of their rank, at least in terms of strength (although this can often be their only appearance). Any characters with black and white images are characters who were exclusive to the manga.

Another part of the book lists potential character match-ups, with other characters making a comment about what they think would happen during the fight. The Raoh Vs. Kaioh one is the only one not to be given a winner -most likely due to the fact that Raoh was such a popular character, the writers didn't want to annoy his fans by stating Kaioh would beat Raoh in a fight. Which is, I imagine, what would most likely happen if the two fought.

Another list featured in this was the top 5 most attractive ladies in Hokuto no Ken. I guess a top 10 would have been too much because there is what, 8 female characters in the entire series? This list is in number order, with Yuria being no. 1.
