Both Toki and Raoh can see the star of death, and the fight between the two of them continues. Toki uses a projectile technique called "Touki Kohou" (Aura Summon), an energy based attack which makes Raoh stumble, but isn't enough to take him down.

The two then switch to close-range combat but Toki's strikes again are not enough to break through Raoh's defense. He eventually gets an advantage by kicking his brother up into the air so high that it gives him the chance to also leap up and use...

TENSHOU HYAKURETSU KEN

(Heaven Soaring Hundred Crack Fist)

Toki lands, but when Raoh lands, he drops to his knees and coughs up blood. Toki tells his brother the he should have given up his ambition a long time a go...

When Kenshiro was chosen as the successor to Hokuto Shinken, Raoh decided to leave Ryuken's dojo. He still intended to use the Hokuto Shinken he had learnt to conquer the heavens. Toki reminded him of the promise they made when they were younger: Toki would stop his brother if he ever took the wrong path. Raoh hadn't forgotten about this and told his brother that he can come and try to stop him whenever he felt like it.

Back in the present, Toki says he will fulfill his promise now, and stabs Raoh in the chest with his hand. Raoh doesn't get out of the way and gets hit, and Bat and Lin think that the fight is over. But Kenshiro tells them it isn't. The star of death shines only over Toki now.

And something seems to be up as Raoh has not fallen -he instead simply removes Toki's hand. Toki moves back, but then has another go and strikes at his brother again...

...but this time Raoh stops his hand from hitting him. Toki tries for a third time, but Raoh once again stops his attack and tells Toki that it will not work. Raoh sees that this is the power of his brother's fists and begins to cry. He pities Toki as even though he has copied his style, it will never be a strong due to his illness. And it also means that because of this illness, he will never be able to beat him.

Bidding farewell to his brother, Raoh then uses a flurry of punches to hit him in the chest, which send him flying.

Lin wants to help the fallen Toki, but Bat stops her. However the kids and Kenshiro are all surprised when Toki gets back up himself and, despite his injuries, is ready to resume fighting his brother. He charges with a dual palm strike, but Raoh easily evades it and then gets him in a choke-lock. He tells him to stop now. He then decides to find out how he managed to copy his fighting style, and slashes away part of Toki's trousers.

This reveals what Raoh thought -Toki had pressed his own "Sekkatsukou" pressure points which gave him incredible strength for a short amount of time, at the cost of shortening his own life span! Raoh can't believe he'd go to such levels to try and defeat him. He tells his brother that it will be his illness, and not him, that will end his life. Toki asks why Raoh is still crying, as he was the one who changed his tears into ambition. Which means time for another flashback as a young Raoh is...

...beating up his brother. Toki is kicked so hard he is flung to a wall and begins to cry. Raoh goes over to him and tells him to stop crying, as tears are useless. Raoh had decided to never cry again and will transform his tears into strength and ambition. He's given up tears for his fist, and to conquer the heavens.

Back in the present, Raoh knows that Toki fought a battle he could never win. Toki tells him to end his destiny, so Raoh puts Toki down and tells Kenshiro to watch what happens to two brothers who go down the same path. Raoh does an extremely powerful punch and it looks like Toki is done for, but it turns out Raoh missed. He instead punched the ground just behind his brother's head. Toki asks why his life was spared.

Raoh tells him to think of that punch as his big brother's spite towards his sad destiny -the fact that a great man like him will die from his illness. He then declares that the Toki he fought is dead, with only the sick Toki remaining, who cannot fight anymore. After telling his brother to live the rest of his life in peace, he turns around and prepares to leave, but picks up the uniforms they had when they were younger first.

As he leaves he stares at Kenshiro before reaching the graves that were made for him and his brother. He has Kokuoh knock them both over and then gives Kenshiro one last message: if he wishes to end his life, he can try it whenever he wants. He then rides off as Kenshiro has a lot to think about, whilst Lin and Bat help Toki.
