The two destined brothers of the North Star, Raoh and Toki.
Raoh: Shall we begin?
Toki: It's time to fulfil my promise... I will surpass you!
Raoh: Ha ha ha... I expect no less from my brother. But you will never be able to surpass me!
Toki uses several fast attacks, which hit Raoh's chest. Raoh says Toki's fists are as gentle as always, and he shows that his chest is fine. He tells Toki that he won't be able to defeat him unless he closes in to strike and kill. He then goes to punch Toki.
Toki avoids his punch, and this time leaps up behind him. He dives down and tries to strike him from behind, but before he can, Raoh counters him with a powerful kick.
The hard and soft... two great fighters with spirits surging high! The curtain has risen on their fated showdown!
Farewell, Toki!
A Man Only Cries Once!!
Raoh says that the hard kills, whilst the soft gives mercy. He tells Toki that the softness that kept him walking the path to the hard style will cost him his life! Raoh says this is as good as over, and goes to strike Toki with a chop. But Toki blocks it, which surprises Raoh. Toki says his aim was to surpass his brother in every way.
Toki's muscles suddenly grow larger. He says that the blood they share flows within him, which has led to him taking this art. Raoh asks if this means he has learnt his hard fist style, but Toki says he's already said it: he aims to surpass him in every way! He does a punch which grazes Raoh's chest, causing him to fall. Toki says he swore he'd never use this art until his last battle: his battle with him.
He tells Raoh to look to the heavens, as he should be able to see the death omen star. Raoh does so, and realizes that he can see it. Kenshiro tells Bat and Lin that Toki's natural talent has called the death omen star onto Raoh -even God can't see the outcome of this battle! He says that in the 2,000 year history of the North Star, legend has it that when two powerful warriors of equal arts face each other, the death omen star will shine over both of them.
Toki tells Raoh that it's time for them to bring their fate to a close. Raoh tells Toki that he has lived for the sake of all humanity. But now, for the first time, he's fighting for his own sake. He wants to see if his brother can surpass him, and break his ambitions -he wants to see his hard fist style!
Kenshiro thinks about how he knew this battle was destined, but it will be the most vicious fight he's ever seen. Toki says he'll bury Raoh with this secret technique, and throws out a projectile wave across the ground. It hits Raoh's foot, causing him to stumble back.
Kenshiro says that move is the touki kohou (breathing of fighting spiritual energy). The technique uses pressurized fighting spiritual energy, inhaling energy to strengthen its combat ability, then exhales that energy in one concentrated burst. Toki and Raoh go to strike each other, but they avoid each other's attacks. They get blown back, but Toki goes on the attack again. Raoh is able to block his strike.
Toki then kicks Raoh, sending him flying high up into the air. Toki sees this as his chance, and jumps up over Raoh.
He uses the tenshou hyakuretsu ken (heaven soaring hundred crack fist), hitting Raoh's chest multiple times. Kenshiro thinks that Toki possesses the most graceful techniques of any man in the 2,000 year history of the North Star divine fist, and aerial techniques are his true strength.
Raoh lands back on the ground, and coughs up blood. Toki tells him that if only he'd thrown away his ambitions back then, when Kenshiro had become the successor...
At the dojo, Raoh gets up and says farewell to Toki. Toki asks him if he has to go, and Raoh says it's obvious. The North Star divine fist has the code of sole succession. Now that Kenshiro is the successor, there's no reason for him to stay here. He will seize the heavens, and make all martial arts his own. Toki tells him he's making a mistake -has he forgotten their promise?
Raoh recalls what he'd once told Toki: should he ever lose his way, it will be his job to seal his fists. Raoh says he remembers, and tells him to do it whenever he wishes. As Raoh leaves, Toki cries.
Back in the present, Toki says farewell to Raoh -it's now time for him to fulfill his promise. He goes to strike Raoh, and hits him in the chest. Bat and Lin think Toki has won, but Kenshiro says no -the death omen star has fallen on Toki.
Raoh still stands, and removes Toki's hand from his chest. Toki tries to attack again...
...but Raoh grabs his arm before he can strike him. Raoh says it won't work on him, and starts to cry. Bat and Lin wonder why Raoh is crying.
Toki tries to attack again, but again, Raoh stops his strike. Raoh tells him it won't work, and knows the secret of his hard fist style. If Toki wasn't ill, and used his soft fist style, he may have defeated him. It is heartbreaking to him -his little brother's cruel destiny, which was to follow his footsteps since he was young. He says farewell to him -the death omen star will fall upon him.
He starts hitting Toki with one arm, punching him in the chest many times. He then finishes it off with a final punch...
...which sends Toki flying. Toki crashes to the ground, and nearby, his grave marker cracks.
Bat and Lin think Toki is dead, but everyone sees that he's still alive. He manages to get up, and he says he's not done yet.
Kenshiro thinks Toki can no longer fight like this. Toki attempts to strike Raoh again...
...but Raoh easily gets out of the way, and then gets him in a choke hold. He tells Toki that his technique won't work on him, and says that's enough. He then says he'll reveal the secret to Toki's hard fist style.
He cuts open parts of Toki's pants, revealing that Toki had struck pressure points on his own legs. Kenshiro explains that it was the sekkatsuko pressure point, which when struck temporarily gives the user hard power. But it also puts the user's life at risk. In order to master the hard fist style, Toki had hit his own pressure points. Raoh sees how desperate Toki was to surpass him, and how much he wanted to seal his fists. Toki knew he was getting weaker, yet he still did this.
Raoh tells him that he wasn't the one to take his life, as his illness had already taken it from him. He asks how could a man of the North Star fall to illness. Toki says his illness was also part of his destiny, and all he can do is accept it, and fight to the very end. He asks Raoh why he's crying -he traded his tears for his hard fist style, and his ambitions...
Raoh spars with Toki in the dojo, but he doesn't show his brother any mercy. After kicking him into a wall, Raoh tells him not to ever shed tears again. If he wants to surpass him, he needs to leave his tears behind. His fists need no tears, so he should trade them for his wishes, and his fists. Raoh then says he's already abandoned his tears for his fists, so he can seize the heavens.
Back in the present, Raoh says Toki must have known he can't defeat him with an imitation of the hard fist style. Yet he still used it just to be close to his brother, even when his own body is so close to its death. He thinks Toki's heart is the same as it was when he was a child. Because of this, Toki's genuine heart has brought tears back to his dry soul. Toki says he has no regrets, and tells Raoh to close the chapter of his destiny.
Raoh tells Kenshiro to watch closely. This is fate, as two brothers who shared blood both walked down the same path, and both sought to become the strongest of warriors. But all of that ends now, as his fist will put an end to it all. He tells Toki this will be the last time he will ever shed tears, and bids farewell to his greatest enemy... and his dearest brother.
He goes to punch Toki, and seemingly hits him. But everyone realizes that he hasn't hit Toki, he's hit the ground above his head.
Raoh tells Toki to think of that punch as his brother's hatred for his sad destiny. He says that Toki, the man who sought after the Fist King, has just died. The man on the ground now is just Toki battling with illness. He tells Toki to spend his remaining life in peace.
He tells Toki to cry if he wants to, he won't blame him any more. Raoh stands back up, and tells Toki to rest his body well. He then goes to the Black King, and picks up the two uniforms he and Toki wore a long time ago.
Raoh goes to the graves of his family. He has his horse kick down Toki's grave marker, and says that both he and Toki are dead. He gets the Black King to kick over his own grave marker, and then shouts to Kenshiro that the terrifying legend of the Fist King has now begun.
He tells Kenshiro that if he wishes to take his life, he can come and get it anytime. He then rides away on his horse.
