Toki is determined to fight Raoh. And Raoh, who's fully recovered, awaits him. Their fated battle draws near!
The Secret Origin is Revealed!
Heaven Desires Tragedy!!
Toki takes Kenshiro and Lin to some ruins. Nearby are four markers, which Toki kneels down and prayers before. Lin asks him if they are for his parents, and he says that's right.
Toki explains that this place was his hometown, where he was born and raised. When he dies, he'll return here, and he says that one of the markers is for himself. Lin asks who the other grave is for.
Toki says that is where his true brother shall rest. Bat then runs over, and says that he's just seen the footprints of a large horse over there -they have to be the Black King's. Nearby, Raoh and Kokuoh wait on a particular cliff.
Raoh sees some marks on the cliff, and says this is remnants from training. The Black King then neighs, and Raoh sees that Toki, along with Kenshiro, Bat and Lin, have arrived. Raoh says he knew Toki would be heading here.
Toki says that it seems that their father and mother wanted the brothers to reunite. Bat and Lin are surprised to learn that Toki and Raoh are real brothers, but Kenshiro thought this was the case. Toki tells Raoh that there's no other place to fight but here. Raoh wonders how many years it has been.
He punches part of the cliff, causing it to break apart. Inside are some weapons and outfits. Raoh says they've both grown a lot since then, and asks Toki if he remembers that time. Toki says he remembers it well...
Toki and Raoh fold up their uniforms. Toki starts to cry, but Raoh tells him to stop, as tears won't bring back their mother or father. They've got to be strong, which is why they've studied martial arts. He says that there will be plenty of hardships ahead, so if Toki is ever about to give up, these uniforms should remind him of what they're here for.
They won't lose to anyone, as they're the strongest brothers in the world! Just then, a man steps into the cave.
Raoh asks who he is, but he already seems to know of Raoh. He introduces himself as Ryuken, of the North Star divine fist. He explains that Raoh's father had asked him to take care of his son. He has Raoh and Toki leave the cave, and tells them to stand next to the edge of a cliff.
Suddenly, Ryuken kicks part of the cliff, causing it to break up and send both Raoh and Toki plummeting down. Raoh gets up, and sees that Toki is pinned under a boulder.
Raoh lifts the boulder up and throws it aside, but he sees that Toki's leg is badly injured. He screams to Ryuken, asking him why he did this. Ryuken shouts back that he only promised to adopt one child, as he has no need for two.
He tells them to climb back up, the one who reaches him will be his son -the weak can't inherit the North Star divine fist. He then walks away. Toki tells Raoh to go, as if Ryuken adopts him, he can be the successor to the North Star divine fist, and become the strongest man in the world. He then says not to worry about him.
Toki then passes out. Ryuken waits, but comes to the conclusion that Raoh isn't coming. He thinks that the right pupil is hard to find, and starts to walk away. But he then sees that Raoh has made it to the top.
However, he's shocked to see that Raoh was able to carry Toki all the way up with him, meaning he climbed the cliff with just one hand. Raoh says he won't be adopted without his brother, and he'll take care of Toki himself.
Ryuken stares at him, but Raoh then passes out. He and Toki begin to fall back, but Ryuken catches them both. He thinks that Raoh may be able to surpass everything he's ever imagined.
Back in the present, Raoh asks Toki if they should begin, and removes his cloak. Toki tells Raoh that he has grown very strong, beyond Ryuken's imagination -and so have his ambitions. Raoh asks Toki if he's regretted this.
Toki tells him he chose this path himself. Raoh says that's what he expects of him, so they will fight on equal ground. Lin asks Ken if he can stop this fight, but he says that no one can come between their blood. Toki and Raoh unleash their fighting spiritual energy.
Bat says that Toki and Raoh's arts are so different. Kenshiro thinks of it as motion and stillness, violence and serenity... it's just as Toki and Raoh have lived their lives. Raoh then makes the first move, going for a double punch, but Toki leaps up over it.
As Toki comes down, he tries to strike Raoh's head, but Raoh blocks his attack. He goes to punch Toki, but Toki avoids it...
...and the two clash. Toki then jumps back, and Raoh tells him he can see no hesitation or fear. Clearly, being near death has improved Toki's style. Toki says that's not the case, it was Raoh himself that improved him...
Raoh trained in the art of the North Star divine fist. He fights with Ryuken, but Ryuken easily avoids everything Raoh throws at him, and hits back. Toki watches from outside the dojo.
Koko, Toki's pet bird, then flies over, but Toki continues to watch. Ryuken uses a ring-shaped barrier to knock Raoh down. Ryuken then says that that's enough for today.
As he leaves the dojo, Toki runs in to check on his brother. Raoh says he's fine, as he won't lose -he'll never give in! If he did give up, it would mean Toki would get kicked out of here, too. But he'll never let that happen, as he wants to get stronger. He tells his brother to just wait and see -he's going to become the strongest man in the world, and his name will echo out throughout the heavens!
Sometime later, Toki washes some clothes. But Koko then takes a shirt, and flies off with it. Toki goes to find him, only to find that someone has shot and killed him with an arrow. The guy who did it walks over, and Toki asks him why he did this. The guy says the bird was a perfect target.
He kicks Koko's corpse out of Toki's hands, and then starts stomping on it. The guy says it was a pesky little bird, but a solid challenge. As he's hungry, he'll eat it later. This causes Toki to snap, and he punches the guy in the leg.
He follows it up be kicking him in the face, and then starts punching him in the head repeatedly. Ryuken then stops him, and says that's enough.
Ryuken didn't realize that Toki also had such a gifted talent as a martial artist. He asks him where he learnt those moves, and when he doesn't answer, he asks if he'd been spying on the dojo. He asks Toki if he also wants to learn the North Star divine fist, and Toki nods. Ryuken warns him that the North Star divine fist only has one successor. If they both walk the same path, one of them will one day have to seal the other's fists. He asks if Toki can live with that, and Toki says he can.
Ryuken gets up, and tells him to join them in the dojo from now on. As he leaves, Raoh asks him why he's doing this. Toki says it's because he wants to surpass his brother. Raoh sees that Toki has the same hot blood as himself, as he'd thought Toki would be too gentle for this training. He tells Toki that, if he should ever lose his way, it will be down to him to seal away his fists.
Back in the present, Raoh thinks that beneath Toki's calm and tranquil personality lies a man that is as intense as a raging flame. Toki tells Raoh that now is the time to fulfill his promise: he will now surpass him! Raoh says he expects no less from him, but he won't be able to surpass him. He goes to punch Toki.
Toki avoids his punch, and then strikes him on the chest. He starts making several fast attacks...
...which strike pressure points on Raoh's chest. Bat and Lin think Toki has won, but Kenshiro says he hasn't. Raoh says Toki's fists are as gentle as always, and he shows that his chest is fine. He tells Toki that he won't be able to defeat him unless he closes in to strike and kill.
He tries to attack again, but Toki avoids his punch, and this time leaps up behind him. He dives down and tries to strike him from behind...
...but before he can, Raoh counters him with a powerful kick. Kenshiro knows that Raoh used musou insatsu (unconscious shadow kill), where the user reads killer intent, sees through the distance, and unconsciously thrusts out towards the opponent. Toki's soft fist style, which lures unguarded moments, can't defeat Raoh's hard fist style. Raoh tells Toki that if he wanted to defeat him, he should have learnt his hard fist style. The softness that kept him from walking the path to the hard style will cost him his life!
Raoh says this is as good as over, and goes to strike Toki with a chop. But Toki blocks it, which surprises Raoh. Toki says his aim was to surpass his brother in every way.
Toki's muscles suddenly grow larger. He says that the blood they share flows within him, which has led to him taking this art. Raoh asks if this means he has learnt his hard fist style, but Toki says he's already said it: he aims to surpass him in every way! He does a punch which grazes Raoh's chest, causing him to fall. Toki says he swore he'd never use this art until his last battle: his battle with him.
He tells Raoh to look to the heavens, as he should be able to see the death omen star. Raoh does so, and realizes that he can see it.
Kenshiro tells Bat and Lin that Toki's natural talent has called the death omen star onto Raoh -even God can't see the outcome of this battle! He says that in the 2,000 year history of the North Star, legend has it that when two powerful warriors of equal arts face each other, the death omen star will shine over both of them. Toki tells Raoh that it's time for them to bring their fate to a close.
