Ken continues to think about the Nanto Roku Seiken. Rei had only three days left to live after his battle with Raoh, but another Nanto master -Yuda -entered the scene. Remember when the village elder remembered about what happened during Mamiya's 20th birthday party? Yes.

Mamiya seemed so happy, but then Yuda and his gang entered the village. Yuda liked the look of Mamiya a lot, so decided that she now belonged to him. Mamiya's parents came over, so Yuda just killed both of them right before Mamiya's eyes.

Yuda collected the most beautiful girls and took them back to his fortress. But Mamiya escaped and managed to make it back to her village, although she gave up her womanhood and became a warrior instead. Ken then thinks of how Yuda's descent into madness began. It was at a Nanto training ground...

Yuda had seen Rei use a technique called Hien Ryubu (Flying Swallow Flowing Dance), which Yuda found so beautiful he became jealous, as nobody has been as beautiful as him before. Running off, Yuda swore revenge against Rei for his sin.

Rei had been searching for Yuda, but he had very little time left to live. However, Toki suggested a way of extending his life -he could hit a pressure point on him known as "Shinreidai", which would let him live a little longer, but he would suffer tremendous amounts of pain first. Rei let him hit the point, and he managed to endure the pain. His hair turned white in the process. Yes.

Rei was going to look for Yuda again, but Yuda wanted to kill him personally, and entered Mamiya's village. Yes. The two started to fight, but Yuda became near hysterical when Rei dared to cut into his face.

Rei had also been hit, but he did not show any signs of pain. The two resumed fighting, but it was clear that Rei was the stronger and classier of the two, using a technique called Suzaku Tenshou to knock Yuda back, and slice his face again.

But his back up plan had him flooding the village, trapping Rei in quick sand. Yes. Since Nanto Suicho Ken relied on the use of his legs, he had made Rei like a bird without wings. Yuda resumed his fight against him and unleashed a secret technique of his style, which passes through the water and struck Rei across his face. Suddenly it looked like Rei was going to lose, and die.

But thanks to Kenshiro's intervention, Rei managed to turn the tide back in his favour and used a secret technique of the Nanto Suicho Ken style to defeat Yuda. In his last moments, Yuda admitted that Rei was the only man he ever respected, and that he was jealous of him. He had never been able to surpass Rei in either strength or beauty. Before he died, Yuda's last wish was to die in Rei's arms. He was allowed this and with his passing, Rei mentioned how Yuda was a lonely fighter, but he will soon be joining him in the afterlife.

Speaking to Mamiya for one last time, Rei told her to live her life as a woman, even if just for a moment, until the star of death falls upon her. Telling her to stay back, Rei went off to die alone, as he did not want her to see his disgusting death. What he didn't know, however, was that once he died, Mamiya could no longer see the star of death. Yes.

Back in the present, Kenshiro says that Rei's legend will never die.
