At Ryuga's castle, Kenshiro, Bat and Lin continue to watch the fire. Kenshiro looks up at the stars.
A long time ago, there were guards that defended the six gates of the imperial palace. They stood atop the 108 styles of the South Star holy fist, and were known as the South Star six holy fists. But after the nuclear war, the South Star six holy fists collapsed. The seeds of tragedy were thus scattered throughout the world.
Kenshiro recalls Rei, the star of justice, and Yuda, the star of deception. Was their battle also destined by the South Star?
Yuda of the South Star Crimson Crane Fist!
His Beautiful Smile Calls For Tragedy!!
Rei asked the village elder about what happened between Yuda and Mamiya. The elder revealed that Yuda came to this village years ago, on Mamiya's 20th birthday. He wanted to take Mamiya, and killer her parents when they tried to stop him.
Yuda left the village with Mamiya, believing she had no reason to come back here. But, sometime later, Mamiya did return. The elder explained that from that day on, Mamiya abandoned her womanhood.
It was revealed that Rei and Yuda had trained together. One day, Rei used the flying swallow flowing dance technique, which Yuda was in awe of. So much so that he ran off, having realized that, even if was just for a moment, Rei's movements had stole his soul. For the first time ever, he had recognized someone else's beauty. But he swore he'd never forget this humiliation, and intended to give Rei the ugliest, most pitiful death.
As Rei's time was almost up, Toki revealed a way to let him live a little longer: the shinreidai pressure point. Toki struck this point, which put Rei into unbearable pain. But he was strong enough to survive, and he was revived. Kenshiro recalls that Rei wagered his few remaining hours of life on defeating Yuda.
Rei soon confronted Yuda. Yuda wanted to make sure Rei was still worthy of fighting him, and had two of his men attack. Rei sliced them apart instantly.
Rei and Yuda then clashed. During their first strikes, Rei's chest was cut, but he didn't seem to care. Yuda, however, was angered when he realized his face had been cut.
Rei then used the vermillion sparrow unfolding flight technique, which knocked Yuda down. It appeared that Yuda was no match for Rei, but then Yuda revealed his plan: he had part of a nearby dam blown up.
Mamiya's village was flooded. Yuda believed that by turning the ground to quicksand, Rei wouldn't be able to use his South Star waterfowl fist. Yuda then used his tradition-defying rending wave technique, which hit Rei multiple times.
Eventually Rei was able to free himself, and defeated Yuda by using the soaring white grace technique. Yuda said he wouldn't die like this, pulled Rei's hands back.
But he admitted that Rei was stronger and more beautiful than himself, and then thrust Rei's hands back into his chest. He said that Rei was always in his soul, and he always chasing after that vision of him, and the beautiful dance of the South Star waterfowl fist. But he could not surpass him. When he saw something beautiful in his heart, he was powerless before it.
He told Rei he was the only man he has ever respected, and asked to die in his arms. Rei called Yuda a lonely warrior, but said he would join him soon.
Rei told Mamiya it looked like his time was up. He asked her to live her life to the fullest until the death omen star falls, and even if it was just for a moment, she should live her life as a woman. He said farewell to her, and told her to stay away -he didn't want her to see his pathetic death. As part of his shoulder exploded, he wished for Mamiya to be happy, and then walked away.
Back in the present, Kenshiro thinks that Rei's legend will live on forever.
