Synopsis

Megatron wants to find something called the Pearl of Bahoudin, which is actually a Cybertronian device used to control weather. The device had been on the Decepticon's ship when it crashed on Earth millions of years ago. Megatron learns of its location, but he finds the area is so vast it could take a great deal of time to find it. The Decepticons kidnap Professor Teranova, an archeologist, to find where the pearl is. Meanwhile, the Autobots enter a race for charity called the Europa 2000. They have secretly entered it to keep an eye out of Auggie Cahnay, an arrogant race driver who has a special car that has technology so advanced, it's believed the Decepticons want it. Auggie objects to the Autobots being in the race, but the Autobots are allowed to compete. The race begins, as Teranova narrows down the location of the pearl. Megatron finds out the Autobots are in the race, and orders the Stunticons to make sure they don't finish it.

The Stunticons find and disable several Autobots, including Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack and Smokescreen. Bluestreak manages to get away, and happens to meet Teranova, who fled from the Decepticons. He finds out about the pearl and relays this information to Tracks and Bumblebee, the only other Autobots left. Meanwhile, the Stunticons find and stop Auggie. They take his car and head back to where Megatron is.

Bluestreak heads to where the Decepticons are, but finds Auggie. Auggie wants to get back at the Decepticons for stealing his car, so they head off and join up with the other Autobots. The Autobots finish the race but don't wait around, they head to where the Decepticons are and find that Megatron has just found the pearl. Megatron explains that the pearl was sealed by humans a long time ago, in order to contain its power. Bumblebee manages to take the pearl, and cracks open its casing slightly.

This results in a lightning and wind storm suddenly starting up. The pearl gets sucked into a tornado, making Megatron believe it's lost and that all human life on the planet shall be wiped out. He orders the Stunticons to form Menasor and has him deal with the Autobots, whilst he and the rest of the Decepticons withdraw. The Autobots are no match for Menasor, until Auggie gets his car back and uses it to ram Menasor in the face. Bumblebee then enters the tornado and is able to shoot the device, which makes it explode.

The weather returns to normal. Auggie takes the gold casing the pearl was in, as Tracks wonders about the race -Megatron must have arranged it just to get Auggie's car, which means no money for charity. Auggie says he should keep the pearl's case for all the trouble he's been through, but he instead tosses it to Bumblebee and tells him to see that he gets a good price for it. He then tells them he'll see them around... maybe. Back at the finish line, the commentator is still there, still hoping to have that interview with the winners, sometime soon.
