Synopsis
Tired of Megatron's failure to bring the Decepticons victory over the Autobots, Starscream, Blitzwing and Astrotrain decide to band together. Starscream takes Megatron to what he says is a hidden Autobot power station, but it's a trap. The room fills with zero degree molecules, which freeze Megatron. Starscream heads off to escape, only to find that his allies have betrayed him, resulting in him also getting frozen. With Megatron and Starscream taken care of, Blitzwing and Astrotrain begin their quests for power. Blitzwing heads to a football stadium, where he demands advice from a coach. The coach tells him about having defense and the long bomb. Blitzwing has the Constructicons create a maze at the stadium's entrance, then starts bombing the city.
Meanwhile, Astrotrain creates the "Astro Force", a bunch of trains which he upgrades to do his bidding. The Autobots soon learn about the city being attacked, so a group of them head to the stadium. Getting lost in the maze, Blitzwing takes them down and has the Constructicons meld them together to create a throne, but they are later rescued by Smokescreen, Hoist and Powerglide. Elsewhere, the Astro Force have some technical difficulties, and one of the train crashes into a pipe. Great amounts of water is released, flooding the city.
This water ends up unfreezing Megatron and Starscream. Starscream claims his innocence, and when Megatron says he must be lying or stupid, Starscream says he's stupid. More Autobots head to the city, and are able to stop the leak. Astrotrain heads to the stadium, where Blitzwing is dealing with the Constructicons. The Constructicons were promised that they'd be leaders too, something Blitzwing has gone back on. They transform into Devastator and start fighting Blitzwing. Blitzwing asks for help, only for Astrotrain to turn on him too.
Megatron then appears and quickly reminds the Decepticons that he is the leader, as the infighting continues. After shooting each other, they eventually stop and retreat. The Autobots have been watching, and Prowl says there's only one great leader in the universe. He, Skids, Tracks and Bluestreak transform into a throne and tells Optimus to have a seat. Optimus declines, saying that thrones are for Decepticons, and besides, he'd rather roll!
-This episode marks the second and final appearance of Skids in the show. Like in Quest for Survival, he only gets one line and his voice actor for this episode (Dan Gilvezan) is different to who was used previously (Michael Chain). And also like in his previous appearance, he really doesn't get to do much other than be beaten up.
-Starscream has blue eyes when Megatron tells him he's failed again.
-Blitzwing's tank barrel is colored purple instead of white during this shot.
-When Blitzwing says he wins, part of his head is colored purple instead of yellow.
-When the coach says "OK, OK, Commander!", Blitzwing's mouth is moving.
-Blitzwing's mouth continues to open and close after he tells the coach he'll return.
-When the Decepticons go to see the Astro Force, Thundercracker is colored like Starscream.
-Megatron's Decepticon insignia is missing during this shot.
-When Blitzwing tells the Constructicons they broke his scoreboard, part of his head is purple instead of yellow.
-When Megatron and Starscream start firing at Optimus, Starscream overlaps Megatron.
-When the Decepticons start placing bets, there is a jet which somewhat resembles Blitzwing's jet mode, but is colored like Astrotrain.
-Seconds after the above, Blitzwing is then shown flying behind Thrust and Ramjet. He's supposed to be at the football stadium.
