Synopsis
Some humans find the Decepticon's original ship, which they'd used to follow the Autobots to Earth. Megatron wants to get something from it, so he and a team of Decepticons move out. At the Autobot base, Perceptor is taking his time fixing one of Ironhide's circuits, much to Brawn's annoyance. Brawn thinks Perceptor is a coward, but Optimus Prime then enters the room and tells the Autobots about Megatron's activities. A group of Autobots head out to where the Decepticon ship is, but are too late -the Decepticons have gotten to the ship already. Megatron takes the Heart of Cybertron, which he has Hook install into his chest. This gives Megatron a serious power boost.
The Autobots find the Decepticons, but Megatron easily defeats them all by himself. The Autobots manage to get away and return to base. Perceptor has a plan: shrink down to a much smaller size using the transmat reduction beam, enter Megatron and then remove the Heart of Cybertron. He, Brawn and Bumblebee are shrunk, whilst Wheeljack gets to work on making a force field to try and stall Megatron.
Nearby, the Decepticons get drunk on energon and pass out. Powerglide flies the shrunken Autobots in and launches them at Megatron. They are able to enter Megatron, who wakes up and sees Powerglide, but doesn't realize three Autobots are now inside him. Seeing his forces are still out, he decides to go to Autobot HQ by himself. Meanwhile, Perceptor's group make their way through Megatron, and find his brain. Brawn wants to destroy it, but Perceptor warns him they can't, as if Megatron were to crash now, it could detonate the Heart of Cybertron.
Megatron arrives at Autobot HQ and begins tearing through the Autobots. Perceptor's group get to where the Heart of Cybertron is. Brawn wants to start tearing up the wires, but Perceptor says they have to be torn in a certain order. As evil brain impulses fly around him, Perceptor manages to tear apart all the wires, disconnecting the heart. Megatron realizes he no longer has his new power, and gets blasted by Optimus. As the effects of the transmat reduction beam wear off, Perceptor's group exit Megatron just in time.
Megatron retreats, but Brawn has taken the Heart of Cybertron, which is destabilizing. He throws it high into the sky, and Perceptor shoots and destroys it. Ratchet asks if they realize they've just saved Megatron's life. Brawn says somebody saved all their lives -when Prime asks who, he says to ask his buddy Perceptor here about it. And ask him politely, because anyone who doesn't think he's a hero will have to answer to him!
