In our last episode, Ryu and Ken suffered their first defeat at the hands of US air force sergeant Guile. But instead of wallowing in their loss, the young men were intrigued by the idea of more challenging opponents. Therefore they set out to travel the world in search of other formidable street fighters on whom to test and strengthen their own skills.

Ryu and Ken land in Hong Kong, and take a taxi to their hotel. The driver says they won't find a better sunset than this in all of Asia, and asks what brings them to Hong Kong -the shopping, the sightseeing? Ryu says it's the fighting! They arrive at their hotel, and Ken speaks to Hector, the hotel manager. Ken says he and Ryu want to stay a week, but Hector explains that there are no rooms available. Ken says they'll take the penthouse! Hector is surprised, and says the rate per night is 20,000 US dollars.

Ken tells him to put it on this, and presents a credit card. Hector says he hopes he understands it's their policy to charge a deposit on his card, but Ken tells him to go right ahead. Hector has a guy called William collect Ryu's bag, and tells him to take Mr. Masters and his friend up to the penthouse suite.

As they head up an elevator, William explains that this is a private elevator -it only goes up between the lobby and the penthouse. Ryu and Ken look outside at the city, and Ryu thinks it's awesome, he feels like he's dreaming. As they arrive at the penthouse, Ryu can't believe how big it is. William says if he can help them out with anything, don't hesitate to ask. As he heads back down, Ken says he's tired. But Ryu starts fighting him.

Ryu says here they are, and their journey has finally begun. Ken tells him he'd better believe it, but Ryu then throws him. He tries to charge into him, but Ken dodges out of the way.

Ryu lands outside, and sees they have a pool, too. As Ryu jumps in, Ken uses a phone. He asks for a helicopter for a flight over the city, and also arranges for a tour guide to be sent up. Ryu tells him to put his phone down and come into the pool.

Later on, Ken takes a phone call from Chun Li, who says she's going to be their tour guide tonight. Ken tells her to come up, and then tells Ryu their tour guide is a total babe. Ryu asks him how he knows, and Ken says he could tell from her voice. Ryu says he can't tell just from a voice, but Ken says he can. Ryu decides to make a wager: 100 finger push ups over it. Ken tells him not to be angry when he loses.

The elevator then arrives, and as the door opens, Ken and Ryu see Chun Li. She introduces herself, and asks if they are ready to go on the grand tour.

Ken introduces himself, and then Ryu, who is doing the finger push ups, says it's nice to meet her. Chun Li says the penthouse is all too fabulous -this place is where Michael Jackson and Princess Diana once stayed. She asks if they're going to be starting the tour, and Ken says the chopper he ordered should be here any minute. Chun Li thinks this is exciting!

The helicopter then arrives, and lands on the helipad. The pilot, Tyler, gets out and introduces himself, and has everyone get onboard. The helicopter then takes off.

The group head over the city, and Chun Li says this is the first time she's had a birds eye view of places like the Shanghai bank and St. Joe's temple. Tyler reminds her she should do her job, and Chun Li says this is her first time out as a tour guide, so she's not use to it. Tyler asks if there is any other places they want to see, and Ken says they'd like to be dropped off in that area over there.

He points out to a certain part of the city, and Tyler immediately says no way. He says that place down there is a little piece of hell on Earth. Chun Li asks if they are going somewhere, and Tyler says no, not until she persuades Ken that he's making a grave mistake trying to make it to Kowloon Palace.

Tyler says that about 3 years ago, city officials moved residents out of that area, and surrounded it with fence and chain. It's a place with no law, and even the police stay away from there. Ken says that's just the kind of place they're looking for. Tyler asks why, and Ryu says it's so they can fight. It's why they're here -they've heard that every night there's martial arts betting held at the Kowloon Palace. Ken says they came here so they could test their strength against the best challengers.

Chun Li says she wants to go to, and Ken asks Tyler to drop them off. He says not to worry about them, he'll take full responsibility for everything. Tyler isn't happy about it, but decides to land in Kowloon Palace.

He tells them to be careful, and Ken says he'll call him on his mobile when they're ready to go. Tyler says bye, and then takes off.

Ken tells Chun Li that she should have gone back with Tyler, as it's dangerous here. Chun Li says no way, she was hired to be their tour guide, and that's that. Ryu says she must know this place isn't safe for a girl, but she yells she's not a girl, she's a tour guide! Ken shrugs.

The group start walking down a street, and Ryu asks Ken if he's positive there's an arena somewhere in here. Ken thought they could find it as soon as they got here, but he didn't know the place was so big. They then see some other people up ahead, and hide. They overhear the group talking about some fights, and Ken says he thinks they've found it. They follow the group, and enter a building:

Ken's group go up to the door, and knock on. Ken shows that he's got money, and he and the others are let in. They head further inside, and soon come across what they were looking for.

Ken gives Chun Li some money, and tells her to bet everything on him or Ryu, if they get into the ring. The announcer then says that their next fight was supposed to be the main even, featuring Eden, the 8-time champion, but his challenger had a run in with Kong Kong police, and has been shot. Because of this, they're accepting any challengers from the crowd. Ken is about go up, but then Ryu jumps over him...

...and lands in the ring. He tells Ken he's going first, and doesn't think this will take long -fat boy doesn't look like much competition. Ken tells Chun Li to bet it all on Ryu.

In a private room, Lean, the don of Kowloon Palace, finds out that the challenger is an outsider. Back in the ring, the fight begins. Eden says Ryu can have the first shot, and tells him to attack from any angle. Ryu takes him up on his offer, and bounces off the ropes...

...to kick Eden in the face, taking him out with just one attack. The announcer says the challenger wins, and Kowloon Palace has a new champion.

Lean orders for more men to be sent in to fight. The announcer says that the action is back on, and betting is open. Three guys go to fight Ryu, but he easily defeats the first guy, with just one strike.

He quickly defeats the other challengers with minimal effort, as Chun Li tells him to keep it up -they're getting rich!

Lean orders for Damned to be put in. The announcer says that the next contender has been determined. With an undefeated record, he's the martial arts king of the Devil's Battle Cave: the incredible Mr. Damned!

Chun Li thinks this guy is a monster. Damned tells Ryu he's not like the other rodents he's crushed, but he overrates himself. Ryu goes on the attack, and tries a couple of kicks, but Damned blocks both of them.

He then hits Ryu, knocking him back to the corner. Ken runs over and asks Ryu if he can hear him.

Ryu says he can hear him fine. Ken says it's time he had a chance, but Ryu says he hasn't won yet. This is a opportunity he rarely gets, and he wants to savor it. Damned then rushes forward, and manages to hit Ryu. He picks him up.

However, Ryu breaks free and kicks him in the face, He then kicks him to the corner, and starts punching him repeatedly. But he can't knock him out -he wonders what does it take to knock this guy down?!

Damned gets up and charges, and manages to get Ryu with a bear hug. He says he'll crush him to death, but Ryu then hits the sides of his head.

He then knees him in the face, following it up by smashing him into the floor head first. Damned is finally knocked out.

Lean says that the outsiders must not leave the fortress, and says they won't smear the reputation of Devil's Battle Cave. His words are heard by everyone, as he tells them to not let them escape alive -kill them! The audience turn on Ken and Chun Li, and Ken starts to fight them off.

Ryu jump in to help out. One guy tries to grab Chun Li's bag, so Ken punches him. This results in all of the money Chun Li had going everywhere. However, many of the audience decide to stop fighting, and collect the money instead.

Ken takes his jacket off, and starts whipping it around to get people to clear out of the way. He heads to the exit, where four of Lean's guys are waiting. He manages to take three of them down, but the fourth grabs his arm.

Ryu kicks him in the face, knocking him down, but what nobody realizes is that he managed to grab Ken's mobile phone. Ryu kicks the door down.

Lean tells everyone to hear this: the outsiders are not to leave this area, they are to be killed on sight, and they must not escape! Ryu, Chun Li and Ken run off down the dark streets of Kowloon Palace...
