Synopsis

Ryu attempts to return to his hotel, but is stopped by Zangief. Zangief tries to get Ryu to come with him, and when his attempts at being "nice nice" fail, they start fighting. Ryu nearly gets run over, but ends up being driven into Zangief's outstretched arm. Zangief then finishes him off with a suplex. He and another Shadowlaw agent put Ryu into their truck, and flee the scene, just as Guile and Nash arrive in a helicopter. Elsewhere, Barrac finds out from a doctor that Dorai is not dead, but is badly injured. When he hears about the injures Dorai received, he begins to wonder if Shadowlaw attempted a first strike by trying to have Dorai assassinated, and questions if the person responsible could be one of their own. He tells the doctor that he wants Dorai moved to another hospital, as his life may be in great danger here.

Guile and Nash arrive at the Castle de Maria Isabella, only to find that the place is completely deserted. Meanwhile, Ryu has been taken to Bison's island, and meets Bison himself. Bison intends to make Ryu the newest member of Shadowlaw, but says he will let him and Ken go if he defeats him. Ryu tries to fight him, but Bison uses his psycho power to blast him across the room a couple of times.

Ryu attempts to use the hadou ken, but Bison uses his psycho power again, which seems to effect Ryu's ki control. The hadou ken explodes before Ryu can throw it out, which destroys most of the room and leaves him unconscious. Nearby, Ken is still having nightmares about Chun Li and Bison, and as he screams out, hadou energy circles around him. But when he calms down, it vanishes.

Notes

-Starting with this episode, a new intro sequence is used in the Japanese version. It features the song "Ima, Ashita no Tame Ni" ("Now, For Tomorrow") by Shuji Honda. This intro is not used in the Manga Entertainment version, but the ADV version does feature it.

-The next episode preview segment now has different music starting with this episode, which is an instrumental version of "Now, For Tomorrow".

-The credits sequence also used a new song in the Japanese version. The song is called "Lonely Baby", which is also sung by Shuji Honda. Again, this theme is not used in the Manga Entertainment version, but the ADV version does use it.

Errors

-During this shot, Bison's sleeves are skin colored instead of blue.
-In the Manga Entertainment version, the next episode preview's title card reads "Challenge to Mind Control" yet the narrator says "challenge of mind control".
