In our last episode, the green eyed assassin Cammy sent Dorai head first over the veranda of his hotel room. Meanwhile, Ken's father asked his friend, the director of the CIA, for help rescuing his kidnapped son. In response, two military specialists were dispatched to Spain: Nash and Guile. And now, Ryu must face the monstrous power of the Shadowlaw wrestler: Zangief.
Zangief thinks Ryu isn't too bright to be sleeping on a beach. What if a big wave came and make him be wet? He starts dragging Ryu away. Ryu wakes up, and sees some large guy dragging him. He starts making it more difficult for Zangief to drag him, but Zangief persists. Ryu eventually kicks Zangief's hand away. Ryu wants to know who he is, and what does he want? Zangief introduces himself, and asks Ryu to come along without fighting. Ryu says he has no idea what's going on, but he's not in the mood for games. He tells Zangief to step aside, as he wants to go back to his hotel room to rest.
Zangief gets in his way and says it's his job to bring him back. He has to do it, and he's asked nice nice, so he wants Ryu to come quietly. Ryu says he doesn't get it, but Zangief tells him not to worry, and starts dragging him forward. Ryu tells him hands off, and hits him with an elbow smash.
Zangief stumbles, and Ryu starts to walk off. Zangief gets back up and tells him to be smart, and come to the truck now -no roughsie toughsie! Ryu tells him to leave him alone, and find someone his own size to pick on. He starts walking away again, whilst Zangief just stands there.
The other Shadowlaw agent yells out to Zangief, asking him why he's letting Ryu walk away. He reminds him that their orders are to take that guy in, so he needs to do it! Zangief charges, and tries to grab Ryu, but Ryu moves out of the way. Zangief ends up tripping, and lands face-first into the sand.
The guy in the truck realizes he'll have to do this on his own, and decides to try and drive into Ryu. Ryu moves out of the way at the last moment, and grabs onto the side of the truck.
Ryu manages to grab onto the roof, as the truck starts to violently turn to try and shake him off. Ryu falls back down to the side, and the driver puts a hand over his face. The driver then notices Zangief is nearby, beckoning him to come this way.
The driver does so, and Ryu ends up colliding with Zangief's arm. He smashes into the ground, and Zangief says he's sorry. He then does a suplex on Ryu.
Meanwhile, Guile and Nash arrive on the scene in a helicopter. They see the hotel Ken and Ryu were staying at, and start to descend towards it. Zangief notices the whirly bird in the sky, but the other guy says they can't afford to be seen.
As they put Ryu into the truck, the helicopter starts shining a light down. Zangief gets in the truck, which then drives off. The helicopter gets low enough for Guile to jump out, but by the time he does, the truck is gone.
The Shadowlaw agent reports in, and states they'll be back at the base within the hour. Zangief tells the unconscious Ryu he hopes he's ok, but next time someone wants to bring him somewhere, he should make nice nice instead of roughsie toughsie.
Dorai has been taken to a hospital, and it's revealed he's not dead -but he is in critical condition. Barrac speaks to one of the doctors, who tells him that when Dorai first arrived, his pulse and respiration had already stopped. The paramedics had said they found no trace of either when they first got to him. The doctor was going to pronounce him dead, but for no apparent reason, his breathing resumed. He's at a loss as to how to explain it, and says it's quite miraculous. Barrac asks if Dorai will live, but the doctor says it's difficult to say. Dorai's body has extensive damage, including 46 fractures, and an odd gash penetrating his esophagus. Barrac asks if Dorai was strangled, but the doctor says there was nothing at the scene. But the mark suggests a wire was wrapped around his neck.
Barrac thinks this was an assassination attempt, and wonders if it's a first strike by Shadowlaw. He also wonders why they'd target Dorai, as he only recently started working with Interpol, and the only people who knew he'd been chosen to head the Shadowlaw investigation were the special investigators at yesterday's meeting. He thinks the men at that meeting were the most trustworthy they have... Shadowlaw's treachery must be closer that he thought. He tells the doctor that he wants Dorai secretly moved out of this hospital, and into another facility now. The doctor says they can't, as moving Dorai would be extremely dangerous. Barrac says it'd be worse danger if they continue to keep him here.
The next morning, Guile and Nash arrive at the Castle de Maria Isabella. Guile says this is the castle Ken Masters and the girl were invited to, and Nash says it looks pretty quiet at the moment. Nobody else seems to be around, so the two head inside. But there's nobody inside the castle either. Nash heads upstairs, whilst Guile checks out the ball room.
But the entire room is empty. Nash comes back down, and says there's nothing up there -not even any furniture. Whoever cleaned this castle out was very thorough. Guile says this is a dead end, so where the hell did those kids vanish to?
Ryu wakes up, and finds himself in a small room. He wonders how he got here, as he can remember practicing, and managing to summon the hadou ken, but he can't remember anything that happened after that. The lights are then turned on, and Ryu hears Zoltar's voice. Ryu asks who he is, and Zoltar asks for forgiveness for treating him so roughly. But their instructions were to bring him to this guest house by any means necessary. He then says that the master is on his way to meet him in person, and is so looking forward to it. Ryu tells him to quit talking, unless he's going to do it face to face. Otherwise, he should quit the scare tactics, and open this cell! Zoltar tells him as he wishes.
A wall opens up, and Ryu sees someone waiting behind it: Bison. Ryu tells him he must be the master, and asks what he wants with him.
Bison says everything, as Ryu has been chosen. He's decided that as Ryu possesses some unique abilities, he's chosen him to become the newest member of Shadowlaw. Ryu says he doesn't care what he's chosen, and wants to be shown how to get out of this place -if he has to fight his way out, he will! Bison laughs, and tells him that's an excellent idea. He tells Ryu that if he can defeat him, he'll let him go free. He'll even let his friend go free! Ryu realizes he must be talking about Ken. Bison says Ken is being treated quite well, as his very special guest. Ryu asks him why he's doing this, and Bison says he'll answer all of his questions, if he can with their fight.
Ryu goes on the attack, but Bison blocks his moves. However, Ryu then manages to land one good punch... but Bison just laughs, and says that's nothing.
Bison suddenly emits a strange energy from his body, which shocks Ryu. Ryu pulls his fist back, but gets blasted across the room. Ryu asks what that power was, but Bison tells him he's much weaker than he gave him credit for.
Ryu tries to jump kick Bison, but gets blasted across the room again. Bison says he knows he's capable of much more, and tells him he can only win this fight be using his true power. Ryu tells him to quit talking in riddles, so Bison says it's the power he can control with his own hands.
Ryu knows he means the hadou ken, but it's something he's still learning to do. He wants to know how Bison knows about it, but Bison says it doesn't matter how he knows about it. What matters is defeating him, because if he wins this fight, it means Ryu will serve Shadowlaw forever -he may even come to like it, eventually. Ryu goes into a stance, and says if he wants a demonstration that bad, he's got it. He warns Bison that he's bitten off more than he can chew. Nearby, Zoltar and another guy are monitoring the fight, and get their computer system ready.
Ryu starts to gather energy for the hadou ken. The guy with Zoltar says that Ryu's power is pushing their monitors off the scale, it's just like the master's! Zoltar asks if this means Ryu can use psycho power, but the guy says Ryu's power has a completely different astral power. It's a power that they've never seen before.
Bison says this is excellent, like nothing he's ever seen! Ryu readies the hadou ken, and the guy with Zoltar says they've got trouble -the life energy monitor's circuits have overloaded! Zoltar tells Bison to get out of there, as he thinks Ryu's power is too dangerous.
Bison tells him not to interfere. He then starts to summon psycho power from his hands, and tells Ryu to dare try throwing that energy at him.
Ryu thinks Bison will get it, but then notices something wrong: the hadou is going crazy! He doesn't understand why this is happening now, as he could control it yesterday.
Bison seems to be straining with his psycho power, and Ryu wonders if he's somehow interfering with him. Seconds later, the entire room explodes. Zoltar gets up, and asks Bison if he can hear him. He thinks the master has been killed.
But Bison's voice is then heard, as he tells Zoltar to calm himself. He tells him to get a medical team to the guest room at once, so Zoltar asks him how badly he's injured. Bison says the medical team isn't for him, and when Zoltar says he doesn't understand, Bison tells him to just do it. Ryu is unconscious, and Bison thinks this one will be most amusing for him.
Elsewhere, Ken is still having nightmares about Chun Li and Bison. As he dreams about Chun Li being choked, hadou energy starts to surround him.
In his dream, he tries to save Chun Li, but can't get to her in time. He screams out, but then stops, and when he does, the hadou energy vanishes.
Trapped beneath an eerie light, Ryu finds a Shadowlaw cyberchip being forced upon him as Bison watches. Meanwhile, Cammy basks in the satisfaction of a job well done, as Fei Long learns the horrifying news of Dorai's death. And even if Guile rescues him, will Ken ever be the same? Find out, in Street Fighter II V: Compulsion Towards Vengeance - Cyberchip - The Challenge of Mind Control. Gonna burn some muscle!
