To save the villagers, Ryu and Ken have to go into the cave of ancients.

Synopsis

The treasure hunters round up all of the villagers, and take them to the cave of ancients. They want someone to go in and get the treasure for them. Ryu and Ken show up and are about to try and fight them, but Dhalsim intervenes. He says he calls them beasts as their violence will bring only harm to the villagers behind them. Ryu and Ken decide not to fight, and are chosen by the boss treasure hunter to go into the cave. Dhalsim tells them that they must think of the inside of the cave of ancients as a mirror, which reflects the spirit of whoever enters into it. Ryu and Ken enter the cave, and find the treasure. But they then have an out of body experience.

They are suddenly separated, and each of them then come face to face with large, living statues. They start fighting the statues, and fight at full force. They both give out and take a lot of damage, unaware that the statues are actually themselves -they are fighting each other. The two continue to batter each other, until they can no longer stand. Ryu sits down and goes into a stance, which Ken recognizes. The two realize they have been fighting each other, and things return to normal.

The two get the treasure and head back outside, but they are badly injured -Ryu has gone blind in one eye, and Ken has had several ribs broken. They pass the treasure over to the treasure hunter, but he then decides he'll kill them. Dhalsim stops him by taking the ammunition from his gun without him realizing it, then paralyzes him and the other guy. He then heals Ryu and Ken, and tells Mhenu to put the treasure back into the cave. Ryu asks if that's alright, but Dhalsim says that to one that is innocent of heart, the cave is nothing more than a place of wonder. He then tells Ryu and Ken to follow him.
