Synopsis

Ryu and Ken travel to India, and try to find the wharf. They hear a scream and see a group of thugs attacking a shack hospital. They defeat the thugs and meet Dr. Hanna, who has come to India to try and help the many sick people here. She explains that the thugs keep being sent to try and get her to leave, as the landlord wants to build a business park on it, but her hospital is in the way. She tells Ryu and Ken the way they need to go, and the two head off down the river by boat. As Hanna goes back to her hospital, she is very surprised to see agents of the Masters Corporation there, who tell her that they are going to buy this land, and then fully fund her hospital!

Ryu and Ken arrive at Ahichattra, where they meet a young girl called Mhenu. Mhenu leads them into the village, and somehow knows they're here to find master Dhalsim, despite them never mentioning Dhalsim's name to her. The two find Dhalsim, and he seems to know they were coming -and he also knows they want to know about the hadou. But he then tells them to begone, as the mastery of hadou will never again belong to beasts! Ken asks why he thinks they're beasts, and Dhalsim says they are the type who, when they see their prize, attack and think of nothing beyond their opponent's defeat. For this reason, he calls their methods bestial. Ryu and Ken refuse to leave, and whilst Dhalsim ignores them, they befriend the villagers. Later on Dhalsim takes the two to the cave of ancients, and warns them never to enter it. There is a treasure inside it which is guarded by a monster, but as it has nothing to do with the hadou, neither Ryu or Ken are interested in entering the cave anyway.

However, later on that night, a group of treasure hunters arrive at the cave. Two of them enter it and find the treasure, but they end up turning on each other for unknown reasons, and both end up dying. The boss of the group tells his guide that they'll go to the village, and get the villagers to retrieve the treasure for them. At the village, Dhalsim is aware of what has been going on. He says these beasts are insane, and mad with greed.

Notes

-Very early on in the episode, Akuma makes a cameo:

He's much closer to the camera in this one than in any of his previous cameo appearances.

-Mhenu is not named in this episode, but she will be in the next one.
