Synopsis
Sensui emits a golden light from his body, which is neither spirit energy or demon energy. Koenma gets up and realizes it's a sacred light aura, an energy that not even Genkai could attain. Yusuke tries to attack, but Sensui easily deals with him, and breaks his arm with a gentle tap. Koenma tries to talk to Shinobu, but Yusuke stops him, as he wants to keep going. He thinks if he can keep going just a little longer, he'll figure something out. He warns Sensui that if he's afraid, he shouldn't hesitate to kill him now. He is certain something incredible is about to happen to him, so before it does, Sensui should finish him off.
Kuwabara thinks Yusuke must have a plan, but Hiei doesn't think he has. He explains that if Sensui was a demon, he would be an S class. He is surprised that there is someone like that here in the Human Realm, and on top of that, it's a human with this kind of power. Sensui says he's trying to suppress his power, yet it's still affecting the cave like this. This is his only weakness -in the Human Realm, his power is just too great. Yusuke tells him to let loose with all his power, but Sensui calls him arrogant. He increases the power of his aura, which blats Yusuke and Koenma into a wall. Koenma asks Yusuke to give him back the demon seal ring, but Yusuke reveals Sensui took it from him already. Koenma that suits him fine, as he performs the demon seal ring technique.
He blasts Sensui with a stream of energy, which seems to break through Sensui's aura. Outside, everyone feels a lot of rumbling, and Botan realizes it must be the signal Koenma told her about. She immediately flies off back to the Spirit Realm. Back in the cave, Sensui's power is so great that he is able to overcome the technique, and destroys the ring.
This results in the energy being sent upwards, where it blasts a hole through the ceiling. In the city, many people see the energy head up into the sky, including Keiko and Shizuru. Shizuru says she has a terrible feeling about this, and tells Keiko they'll go somewhere else, where they can get a clear view of everything. Back in the cave, Yusuke tells Sensui to finish him off -if he can. Kuwabara says Yusuke looks confident, so he must have a plan in mind. However Kurama believes he knows what Yusuke is about to do. He tells Kuwabara to remember how he sacrificed himself to younger Toguro, at the Dark Tournament. He believes that Yusuke is about to do the same thing Kuwabara did then. As Yusuke and Sensui stare at each other, Sensui starts emitting his sacred light aura again. Is drawing out his friend's power by means of his own death the only weapon that Yusuke has left?
-In the manga, when Botan departs, she leaves her physical body behind (Yana catches it) and heads back the Spirit Realm in her spirit form. In the anime, she just flies off without leaving her physical body behind.
-Whilst the scenes in the city happen in the manga, Keiko and Shizuru aren't in them.
