It was only a matter of time before the boundary tunnel would open. Yusuke was placed in his most difficult situation ever by the brutal attack of Kazuya, one of the seven personalities within Sensui. However, thanks to Koenma rushing to his side, he narrowly escaped the pinch he was in. But then, wanting to settle things with Sensui himself, Yusuke prevented Koenma from using his demon seal ring technique, and once again challenged Sensui in battle. Then, in the heat of Yusuke's fierce counterattack, Shinobu Sensui finally showed himself.

Sensui: I am Shinobu. Nice to meet you.

Sacred Light Energy Unleashed!

As Yusuke gets up, Sensui starts laughing. Mitarai says he's never seen Sensui like this, and Kurama says that this Sensui is a step or two removed from the others they've seen up to now. Itsuki tells them that when Shinobu appears, Sensui's menace, composure and sense of awe all come together. He says that it's because of his purity that Sensui suffered and despaired so much, and he saw him through all of it. He likes Shinobu the most of all.

Kuwabara tells him they're all fragments of the same Sensui, and in the end, Sensui is still the same single person he was at the start. He tells Urameshi that it doesn't matter of Sensui is Shinobi or anyone else, he's still the same guy he's been facing up until now. Yusuke asks Sensui what's so funny, as he's still laughing.

Sensui's entire body begins to glow with a golden light. Yusuke thinks it's spirit energy, but then realizes it isn't. Kurama says it's not spirit energy, and Hiei says it's not demon energy, either. The golden light continues to emit from Sensui.

Koenma gets up, and sees Sensui. He realizes what kind of energy that is:

Sacred Light Energy

He says that this is the ultimate battle aura, something that not even Genkai was able to attain. He is amazed that Sensui was able to gain this in less than 10 years. Sensui says he has certain innate talents that make him different from others. For example, he tells Yusuke that even if he had an amount of energy several times greater than his own, he still wouldn't be able to possess any sacred powers with it. Sensui says he has Yusuke beaten in both quality and quantity.

He then says this may end up seeming like he's bullying a weakling. With a simple flick of his hand, he hits Yusuke multiple times at long range, and sends him flying into a wall. Yusuke gets back up, and charges forward.

He punches Sensui over and over again, but his attacks can't break through Sensui's aura. He has to back off, which makes Sensui laugh at him. Yusuke goes for another punch...

...but Sensui grabs his wrist, and then breaks his arm with a gentle tap. This causes Yusuke to drop the demon seal ring, which Sensui goes to grab.

But before he can, Yusuke kicks a shoe into his face, and takes back the ring. Yusuke tells him he's not handing it over that easily, and this beats surrendering to him. Koenma then stumbles over, and is about to try and talk to Shinobu.

However, Yusuke tells him to shut up, as he wants to keep going. He thinks if he can keep going just a little longer, he'll figure something out. He warns Sensui that if he's afraid, he shouldn't hesitate to kill him now. He is certain something incredible is about to happen to him, so before it does, Sensui should finish him off.

Kuwabara thinks Yusuke must have some sort of strategy, but Hiei doesn't think he has. Sensui isn't an opponent he can defeat in a one on one battle.

Kuwabara wonders what is he saying, but then notices how much Hiei is sweating. Hiei explains that if Sensui were a demon with that energy, he would be an S class. Kurama says that Sensui is still suppressing his power, making it as minimal as he can make it. He broke Yusuke's arm as gently as if he were pinching an ant. Hiei says they were hoping for too much, they'd thought Sensui had just gotten out of line. But he really does have the power to kill every single one of them. Even in the Demon Realm, you seldom come across anyone with S class power. And yet, they have someone like that in the Human Realm -and on top of that, it's a human with this kind of power.

The entire cave starts to shake, as Sensui unleashes more of his power. Sensui says he's trying to suppress his power, yet it's still affecting the cave like this. This is his only weakness -in the Human Realm, his power is just too great. He finds it stressful, as he can't even use half of it here. Yusuke tells him he thought he wanted to destroy the Human Realm, so he may as well go ahead and use it all. If he's saying he's feeling the stress, he should let loose with his full power. Sensui calls him arrogant, and unleashes more of his power.

Yusuke and Koenma get blown into a wall. Sensui says he likes the flowers, trees, insects and animals. It's only the humans that he hates. Yusuke says he hates him, but Sensui tells him to stand up, so he can finish him off.

Sensui notices the hole, and sees the creatures from the Demon Realm are wanting to come out here. He finds Yusuke's presence here to be an annoyance. Koenma asks Yusuke to hand over the demon seal ring, as there's still time to use it. Yusuke says he doesn't have it -Sensui reveals that he managed to take it back.

However Koenma says that suits him fine. He shoots out a projectile beam, which hits the ring, and breaks through Sensui's aura.

Sensui is trapped in a barrier. Kurama says this is the most powerful, highest-ranked defensive spell in the Spirit Realm. Over many years, Koenma has been placing his own spirit energy into the demon seal ring, and once it has been released, it creates a powerful boundary zone. Not even an S class demon should be able to move a muscle against this spell.

As Koenma continues to use the technique, he says he's only ever used it twice before, and this is the first time he's ever had to use it against a human. The spell has an effect on the hole, killing the demons waiting beyond it. Koenma continues to put everything he's got into the spell.

However, after a lot of struggling, Sensui manages to grab the ring. Outside, everyone feels a rumbling, and think it's an earthquake. Botan then remembers that Koenma told her an earthquake would be a signal. She summons her oar, and flies off back to the Spirit Realm.

Kaito wonders where she suddenly rushed off to. Genkai says she must have gone to the Spirit Realm, to inform King Enma. Yana and Kaito are surprised Enma actually exists, but she tells them to stop pestering her and accept it. She's worried about Yusuke and the others, she doesn't know what's going on in the cave, but she's certain it's something extraordinary.

Koenma can't believe what he's seeing, and thinks this is impossible. Sensui has been able to move, and has grabbed the ring. He screams out, and puts the ring above his head, where it melts into nothing.

This causes a beam of energy to shoot upwards, where it blasts through the ceiling. In the city, Keiko and Shizuru, along with everyone else there, feel a rumbling, and believe it's an earthquake. They then see the beam of light shoot up into the sky. Everyone wonders what it was.

They head off to the source, where lots of other people have gathered. They see a large hole in the ground, which they can't see to the bottom of. As people start to speculate on what just happened, Shizuru says that there an incredible force at work here -she hopes the boys are safe. She then tells Keiko she has a terrible feeling about something, and they need to get away from this place.

She says they'll go somewhere else, where they can get a clear view of everything. Back in the cave, Sensui says that among all seven personalities, he's the only one who can use the sacred light aura. He tells Koenma his demon seal ring probably would have worked on a demon, or an ordinary human. To humans, the ultimate energy, sacred light aura, is holy power. It resonates especially well with Spirit Realm techniques, and can't be confined.

Koenma falls to his knees, and admits that not even he can stop Sensui now. Yusuke tells him it's still too soon to give up. Koenma tells him its hopeless, not even the demon seal ring did any good. Sensui remembers he was going to finish Yusuke off. Yusuke tells him to go ahead and do so -if he can.

Kuwabara says Yusuke looks confident, so he must have a plan in mind. However Kurama believes he knows what Yusuke is about to do. He tells Kuwabara to remember how he sacrificed himself to younger Toguro, at the Dark Tournament. He believes that Yusuke is about to do the same thing Kuwabara did then. Kuwabara thinks that can't be.

As Yusuke and Sensui stare at each other, Sensui starts emitting his sacred light aura again.

Not even Koenma's demon seal ring was able to control Sensui's power. Now that he has used up all of his own strength, is drawing out his friend's power by means of his own death the only weapon that Yusuke Urameshi has left?
