Synopsis

Sensui uses a technique called the resshu shien dan (fissure kick violet blaze shots), which sends hundreds of small projectiles at Yusuke. Yusuke tries to dodge or destroy them, but eventually gets hit. Outside, as everything is so quiet, Botan wonders if there really is a hole to the Demon Realm being opened in the cave. Genkai says there still is -she can smell the foul odor of the Demon Realm.

Back in the cave, Sensui tells Yusuke the second reason he won't be able to beat him: he's weak against attacks that hit from multiple angles. He uses the violet blaze shots technique again, but Yusuke survives, despite taking many hits. Sensui uses the move for a third time, but this time Yusuke runs forward, taking the hits head on and surviving. He says the blasts don't hurt him, and he starts punching Sensui.

He tells him about what he said earlier -about being able to read his moves. He suddenly jumps back and lands in the water, and asks Sensui if he could have predicted this. Nobody knows what he's doing, but Yusuke gets back out, and resumes his attack. However he rips his soaked shirt off, and wraps it around Sensui's wrist, preventing him from getting away. Yusuke slams him into the floor and starts punching him in the face repeatedly. He's about to deliver a final strike, only for Sensui to transform his arm into a gun, and shoot him.

Itsuki says that Kazuya uses that gun. Kuwabara asks him what he's talking about, and Itsuki explains that Sensui has seven different personalities living inside him, including his primary one, Shinobu. There are seven alternate personalities that Sensui himself created, during his endless battles. The one fighting up until now was Minoru. Apparently, Minoru was so shocked by the unexpected counterattack from Urameshi, that he switched out with Kazuya. Sensui mocks Yusuke, stomping on him and then shooting him. He's about to finish him off, but then Koenma appears, telling him to stop.

Manga differences

-In the episode, there are a few moments where a butterfly appears. Minoru seems happy to see it, whilst Kazuya crushes and kills it as he stomps on Yusuke. The butterfly doesn't appear in the manga.

-The scene with Genkai's group in this episode wasn't in the manga.

-In the manga, Sensui does not shoot around Yusuke like he does in the anime, he just shoots Yusuke himself.
