Synopsis
Shishiwakamaru uses a technique called baku tou deoku shouku sou (vomiting explosive skull ramming burial), which sends skulls everywhere -which attack the audience. However they miss Genkai, who reveals she dodged the attack.
Outside the stadium, Kuwabara and the others see some demons fleeing from the stadium, so Kuwabara heads on in to see what's going on. Back at the fight, Shishiwakamaru uses another technique called on ko shou baku heki (binding shield wall of resentful shouting), to trap Genkai. He then tries attacking her with his katana, but she grabs it with just her hands.
She then counters with a technique of her own: reikou kyou han shou (spirit light mirror repulsion), a powerful blast of energy. She reveals that she was able to take Shishiwakamaru's demon energy and use it against him. He tries using the skull ramming burial move again, but Genkai uses her technique for the second time.
Shishiwakamaru is defeated, and his katana is broken. Juri declares Genkai the winner of the match, meaning the Uraotogi team only has Onji left. He rolls the dice for the Urameshi team, and Kuwabara's name comes up.
Juri suggests to roll again, since Kuwabara is no longer with them. However, Kuwabara reveals to everyone he's still alive, and is back in action. Outside, Shizuru hears her brother's voice, and is annoyed he's gone off to fight, as he'd told them he was just going to check things out. She, Botan and Yukina head into the stadium, leaving Keiko outside with Yusuke and Puu. Back in the stadium, Kuwabara steps onto the ring, and prepares to fight Onji.
-In the manga, Kurama uses his rose whip to destroy a skull, whilst in the anime, he strikes it with his hand.
-As usual, any scenes with Koenma and Jorge in this episode weren't in the manga.
-In the manga, Juri does not comment that Genkai is nowhere to be seen after she sees the crater. The scene in the anime where she hides behind a wall wasn't in the manga either.
-In the manga, Genkai only uses the mirror repulsion technique once -it defeats Shishiwakamaru and breaks his sword. In the anime, this was changed so after he gets hit with it the first time, he gets up and tries to attack her again, but she uses the mirror repulsion technique again, and it defeats him.
-This episode is another one which has the sampled crowd chant, only it's heard much clearer in this episode than any previous one.
