Synopsis
Botan and the others arrive at the stadium, only to realize they've arrived at the wrong one -there's nobody there, and Keiko then remembers Kurama mentioned something about the location changing. At the other stadium, the fight between Kuwabara and Shishiwakamaru begins. Kuwabara tries to slice through his opponent by using his spirit sword, but he can't land a hit on him. Shishiwakamaru uses his mantle of death, which makes Kuwabara vanish from the ring.
He says he doesn't know where Kuwabara has gone, only his mantle knows. Juri declares him to be the winner. Kuwabara ends up being transported to the other stadium, where he meets up with Botan's group. After Shizuru beats him up for losing, he says he'll lead them all to the other stadium. At the other stadium, Hiei is about to fight Shishiwakamaru, when the masked fighter stops him. He and Kurama wonder who she is, as she's clearly not the same person as before -she's far weaker. She explains that her power is with Yusuke now, and then steps onto the ring.
Shishiwakamaru can also tell this masked fighter isn't the same one he's seen before, but starts to fight her. He's able to slice her mask off, revealing to everyone that she's the aged Genkai. He believes that the Urameshi team are cheating, as this woman is clearly not the same one they saw during the Urameshi team versus Ichigaki team match. The fight is suspended, so the tournament headquarters can consult over what to do. A short time later, Toguro explains to everyone that the Urameshi team haven't done anything wrong, and that the woman below and the younger woman seen before are the same person. He explains how the spirit wave technique works, and how practitioner's bodies are returned to the age when they were at their peak. He then asks Genkai if his explanation was good enough, and then leaves.
Everyone has heard of Genkai, and Shishiwakamaru believes it'll make him famous if he kills her now. He draws his katana -a magical killing-wail cutting sword -and gets ready to fight. Outside, Kuwabara's group happen to find Yusuke, and wonder what happened to him. They pick him up and take him and Puu with them, as they arrive at the stadium. As the fight is about to begin, Genkai knows she has enough power left to fire three spirit gun blasts, but also knows she can't let herself lose here... she must fight Toguro.
-In the manga, Kuwabara, Hiei and Kurama play rock, paper, scissors after the part where Yusuke passes Puu to Genkai. In the anime, they play it earlier, in the previous episode.
-In the anime, Kuwabara tries to hit Shishiwakamaru multiple times, but keeps missing. In the manga, he only gets the chance to try and attack once, and then Shishiwakamaru uses his mantle to send him away.
-Any scenes with Koenma and Jorge in this episode weren't in the manga.
-In the manga, Puu is not present when Botan and the others find Yusuke. But in the anime, he is there.
