Synopsis
Outside the stadium some demons see Keiko with Yusuke, and see it as a chance to kill the latter -it'll make them famous! Just as one of them is about to attack, they are stopped by Rinku, and they flee when they see that Chu, Jin and Toya are also there. They all think that Yusuke has gotten stronger than when they last saw him. Back at the ring, the fight between Kuwabara and Onji begins. Try as he might, Kuwabara cannot land a single attack on Onji, who keeps dodging every move made against him.
Onji eventually traps Kuwabara into a sphere projectile, and has it take him away. Kuwabara ends up falling into the old stadium again, but he immediately starts making his way back to the other stadium. Onji rolls the die, and his next opponent will be Genkai. Before the fight starts, she tells him to drop his act -she can tell he's no old guy. Onji congratulates her for seeing through him, and rips off his face mask. He tells her the reason he disguised himself as an old man is because the elderly are the creatures he hates the most.
He reveals that he's actually Suzuki, the beautiful demon battler. After telling everyone that he intends to create his own legend, he says after he's won this tournament he'll kill all the elderly, along with anyone who refuses to follow him. He also claims to have mastered 1,000 attacks, and uses his favorite: the rainbow cyclone. This attack, which consists of several different demon energies, seems to hit Genkai, but it actually only hits her afterimage. She leaps back into the ring.
She takes Suzuki's red nose without him even realizing, and tells him she won't even need to use his spirit energy to deal with him -her fists are enough. Suzuki uses a technique to increase his muscle mass, and compares it to what Toguro can do. Genkai tells him the reason he's lost is because whilst he may be able to create all these techniques, he has no strength, and tells him Shishiwakamaru was stronger than him. Suzuki is insulted and goes on the attack, but before he can do anything, Genkai batters him with ease.
Suzuki collapses, and Genkai is declared the winner. Botan's group meet with the Urameshi team, where Kuwabara gets berated for his poor performance. Genkai heads off on her own, where she meets Toguro. Toguro asks her if she will see him later. She tells him she will, and walks on.
-In the manga, Jin and Toya have dialogue -Jin is the one who comments on how Yusuke seems to be stronger. In the episode, neither of these characters speak, and Jin's dialogue was given to Chu.
-In the manga, the start of the Kuwabara and Onji fight isn't shown -the first time we see them, Kuwabara has already been trapped in Onji's sphere. The anime changed this by showing the start of the fight, where Kuwabara attacks, but repeatedly misses, his opponent.
-In the manga, Suzuki doesn't try to attack Koto like he does in the anime.
-Genkai reveals she has Suzuki's red nose before she leaps back into the ring in the manga. In the anime, she reveals she has it once she's jumped back onto the ring.
-In the manga, when Suzuki tries to attack Genkai after making his muscles bigger, he does manage to do a punch, but she dodges it, and his fist shatters the ground. In the anime, he's not shown getting the chance to attack her.
-The anime made Suzuki's beating go on for longer -the parts where he smashes into the ceiling, and then gets punched in the back, were not in the manga.
-In the manga, Genkai says she never got to check out Suzuki's face after we're shown Suzuki's battered face, in the anime these things are the other way around.
-The end scene of the episode wasn't in the manga.
