Synopsis
The fight between Kuwabara and Shorin is about to begin. But Yusuke tries to warn Kuwabara about how dangerous his opponent is. Kuwabara ignores him and the fight starts. Initially Kuwabara easily has the upper hand, knocking Shorin down twice and even managing to avoid, and then reflect, Shorin's kashou happan ken (destructive fire emitting fist) technique. However, Shorin quickly turns things around by using another technique which makes Kuwabara really small. He grabs Kuwabara and breaks his arm, and just as Yusuke is about to intervene, he throws Kuwabara away. Kuwabara survives and is returned to his normal size, but is badly injured and unable to fight any longer.
Shorin says the shrinking technique wasn't good for actual combat, but Genkai's spirit wave will be. The final match begins, but Yusuke easily overpowers Shorin. Shorin uses another move -zankuu reppu jin (violent beheading wind air formation) -which is a series of vacuum blades. However, Yusuke takes these head on, managing to break through them...
...and defeats Shorin by striking his throat and crashing him into the ground. Yusuke has used up all his energy, but heads over to Genkai and tells her he did it. But she tells him if his opponent is Rando, then this is where the fight begins. Laughter can be heard, as Shorin transforms to his true form: Rando! Rando confronts Yusuke and says he is the one that he has been searching for.
-As with the previous episode, any scenes with Koenma were not in the manga.
-In the manga, Botan tells Yusuke not to give any classified information to Kuwabara, as they're undercover. Yusuke does not mention Rando by name, but tells Kuwabara not to underestimate his opponent. In the anime Botan doesn't say anything like this, and Yusuke does mention Rando by name to Kuwabara.
-The manga has Kuwabara only have to dodge one of Shorin's fireballs, in the anime he has to avoid two.
-The manga only has Shorin use the violent beheading wind air formation technique once -Yusuke charges through it to strike him. In the anime, Shorin uses it twice, the first time it knocks Yusuke down, but the second time he charges through it.
-Kuwabara's line about not jumping to your own conclusions wasn't in the manga.
-The manga doesn't have Yusuke walk over to Genkai like he does in the anime, instead she tells him it's not over yet when he's trying to stay standing.
-The ground cracking apart as Rando appears was only in the anime.
