Synopsis
The Constructicons land on as asteroid, and move this towards Earth. They start mining ore from the asteroid. The Autobots find out about this, and Optimus Prime tells Omega Supreme about it. Omega is more concerned that the Constructicons are involved, as they are his enemies. He explains to Optimus that on Cybertron, the Constructicons were once his friends, but were captured and reprogrammed by Megatron to become Decepticons. They had destroyed the city Omega was supposed to protect, and whilst Omega had tried to change them back to normal, he was unable to. The Constructicons eventually used a ship to get to Earth, so Omega followed them. Optimus returns to Autobot HQ, where Cosmos has managed to take an ore sample back from the asteroid. The ore is high in energy, but has an unknown origin. Optimus tells Omega to go to the asteroid and knock the Constructicons off it, then blow it out of the sky.
On Earth, the Decepticons have constructed another base. Astrotrain brings some of the ore back, but when Megatron tries to reduce it to break it down to its component elements, it simply melts into nothing they can use. Omega arrives on the asteroid and fights the Constructicons, but he splits the asteroid in half during the battle. Inside it is an alien, which screams and then flies towards Earth. Teletraan I analyzes it and states that the asteroid is actually the alien's food source. Optimus realizes only Omega would be able to get the alien back to the asteroid, but Omega follows the Constructions back to Earth, where they unite and transform into Devastator. Optimus convinces Omega that the Earth's safety is more important than getting revenge.
Omega finds the alien and lures it back into space. Optimus goes to the Decepticon's base and destroys it. Omega lands on the asteroid, and the alien follows him. The alien lands on the asteroid and consumes it, then flies away into space, away from Earth. Omega returns to Earth, where Prime tells him he knows what the Constructicons did back on Cybertron changed him and took away his feelings. But perhaps some day he'll see that there are more important things in life than revenge. Omega cries as he says that possibility... is growing.
-Back in Heavy Metal War, the Constructicons were something the Decepticons created on Earth. However in The Master Builders it was hinted they were originally from Cybertron, and now this episode confirms the retcon by showing they were good guys originally, but were reprogrammed by Megatron to become Decepticons. But things will get weirder early on in the third season, with another retcon about them taking place.
-This episode also explains where a new character came from -Omega first appeared in Blaster Blues, having appeared out of nowhere, but it turns out he'd gotten to Earth having followed the Constructicons to it.
-This episode's animation is done by an unknown company. It looks better than anything AKOM made, and is similar to Toei's work, but apparently wasn't done by them.
-When Megatron asks what the status is, Sideswipe is stood next to him. It seems this was meant to by Soundwave, as two shots later Sideswipe is gone and replaced with Soundwave.
-When Powerglide asks if they just sit and wait, part of his face is miscolored.
-One of Powerglide's shoulder pieces is colored gray instead of red during this shot.
-Devastator has a gray colored head when Omega smacks him away.
-The helmet around Tracks' face is colored blue instead of white during this shot.
-During this shot, Scrapper's face is colored gray instead of black.
His eyes are also colored gray instead of red.
