Synopsis

A group of Autobots are patrolling a beach when they're attacked by Blitzwing, Thrust and Ramjet. During the battle, Beachcomber heads off on his own and enters a cave. When he exits it, he finds a pool of golden liquid which he identifies as electrum. He heads back to the battle, but Thrust then finds the golden lagoon. He submerges himself in the electrum and then heads back, where the Autobots fire on him. But their blasts have no effect, as the electrum has made Thrust completely invincible! Whilst Warpath, Powerglide and Beachcomber manage to escape, the Decepticons capture Perceptor and Seaspray.

Thrust leads the Decepticons back to the lagoon, where the entire army covers themselves in electrum. A group of Autobots go on a rescue mission to get Perceptor and Seaspray back, but are no match for the Decepticons. Mirage makes it back to where another group of Autobots are and explains the situation. These Autobots then come under attack from the Decepticons, and are easily defeated.

Beachcomber heads back to the lagoon, only to realize that the Decepticons have found it. He gets spotted and blasted by Blitzwing, and is taken back to the Decepticon HQ. The Decepticons then attack Omega Supreme, and even his firepower can't even dent the Decepticons. The other Autobots find out about the electrum, so Optimus Prime orders for the source of it to be found.

At the Decepticon base, Seaspray, Beachcomber and Perceptor manage to escape. As they head to the lagoon, the Decepticons begin their attack on Autobot HQ, only to find out that the Autobots aren't there. They instead find a bunch of dummies that break apart when hit. Realizing something is up, Megatron orders his forces to return to the lagoon. They arrive, but are too late -the Autobots have found it and have also covered themselves in electrum. A battle begins, with neither side able to do any damage to the other. But the scenery around the lagoon gets ripped apart.

However the Decepticons return to their usual colors -the electrum has worn off! Megatron says if they can't have the lagoon, nobody can. He and the other Decepticons shoot at it, blowing it up. As the Decepticons retreat, most of the Autobots start celebrating. But Beachcomber sits among the destroyed lagoon and quietly says they "won".

Notes

-Reflector makes a rare appearance in this episode -he's doing well, given that he briefly appeared in the previous episode. As the script isn't available for this episode it's not clear if the writer had him appear, or if the animators put him in. Reflector isn't going to be seen again until towards the very end of the season.

Errors

-When Ramjet flies over the Autobots, one of his wings overlaps Powerglide.
-When Blitzwing first transforms, his head is colored purple instead of yellow.
