Fei Long, arriving in Barcelona, is devastated to learn of the murder of his shifu, Dorai. Meanwhile, Guile and Nash continue their search for the kidnapped Ken, a search which leads to Shadowlaw's island fortress. And Ryu, having fallen before Bison's psycho power, is about to be implanted with a cyberchip that will make him Bison's mindless slave.

Ken is still having nightmares about Bison killing Chun Li, and screams out. He finally wakes up, and wonders what's going on -how did he get here? He realizes the chains are made out of solid steel, and he can't get any leverage. He thinks that even if he was at full strength he couldn't break them, but right now he feels weaker than he ever has in his entire life.

He then thinks about what happened, and remembers Chun Li, and what that man did to her.

He remembers that lunatic was killing Chun Li, and says he'll make him pay for what he did to her. But he knows he can't do anything until he gets out of these chains. He wishes he could just snap them, but they won't break no matter how hard he tries.

Suddenly, ki begins to swirl around him. He sees the ki, and thinks back.

He recalls what happened when Ryu did the hadou ken for the first time at the waterfall. But he didn't think he could collect ki the way Ryu can... can he? He decides to try, and focuses on gathering the ki together into one of his hands.

The ki gets larger and larger, as Ken creates a large ball of energy in his hand. It gets bigger and bigger, until it suddenly explodes.

The chains are broken, and Ken is freed. He falls down off the table, and thinks the ki exploded. He remembers that he had been fighting Vega, so how did he end up here?

He gets up, and thinks he needs to rescue Chun Li, if she's alive. He takes a look around the room, and then calls out to Chun Li. But there's no response. He tries charging into the door, but he can't smash it down.

He realizes he'll have to find another way out, and decides to see if he can do that ki stuff again. He goes into a stance, and tries to gather ki, but he then sees Ryu is his mind.

He thinks something is wrong with Ryu, and he tries calling out to him, but Ryu doesn't respond. Elsewhere in the fortress, the machine with the cyberchip on it moves into place, and aims a laser at Ryu's forehead.

Ken screams for Ryu to get out of there, but Ryu doesn't respond. Bison laughs, and watches as Zoltar prepares to implant the cyberchip.

The cyberchip is placed on Ryu's forehead, and he starts screaming. Bison continues to laugh.

Ken thinks it's Bison who has done something to Ryu, and thinks he'll make him pay for what he's done. Ken starts to gather his ki together, and energy starts to swirl around him. Bison suddenly stops laughing, so Zoltar asks if something's wrong. Bison says no, it must have been his imagination.

Ken continues to gather his ki, and thinks about Ryu using the hadou ken. He yells out, and then thinks if he doesn't do something, this ki will explode out of him, just like it did with Ryu in India!

He thinks this power is incredible, but he has to find a way to control it! He thinks he must concentrate, and focus this power... find a way to make it do what he wants! For Ryu and Chun Li, he must focus this power! He looks up, and sees an image of Vega diving down towards him.

He raises one of his arms up. Bison suddenly looks aside, apparently being able to sense something is going on. Ken continues to focus his energy...

...and after thinking about Chun Li and Vega again, he makes a move. He leaps high up into the air.

He uses a new technique, the hadou sho ryu ken! It creates a massive pillar of energy, which blows a hole through the ceiling. Ken flies out of the fortress.

Out at sea, Guile and Nash see the energy, and wonder what the hell it is. Zoltar says that sounded like an explosion, and says he'll go and see what's going on.

As Zoltar leaves, Bison looks back at Ryu. He says that Ryu now feels nothing but what he tells him to feel, thinks only that of which he commands him to think... he feels like a father, looking at his son. He tells Ryu that he shall make him proud, as with him by his side, they'll build the Shadowlaw empire into a superpower!

Nash sees that the light they saw has faded. He wonders if something has already started over there, but Guile just thinks their plan to wait until tonight to move in just got canned. He decides on plan B, but Nash asks him what's wrong. Guile says he has a bad feeling about this place, like the worst threat in their careers is waiting for them on that island. Nash thinks that's comforting -in all their missions he's never heard him say that before. He can't imagine anything worse than that jungle hellhole they were trapped in...

Guile had been captured, and a guy tries to make him reveal where his headquarters are. Guile refuses to talk, and the guy keeps hitting his face. Nearby, Nash has found where Guile is being held, and moves in. Back inside, the guy heats up a knife, and says they'll find out if Guile is either stubborn, or just stupid. He tells Guile to start talking, or he'll use this knife to make his smile a little wider.

Guile tells him he'll talk, but all he has to say to him is kiss his ass. The guy is about to kill him, but then Nash charges in, and kills two other men. The guy with the knife tries to attack him, but Nash avoids being stabbed...

...and kills the guy. Guile asks his partner what took him so long. Nash thought he was just sitting down on the job, but Guile thinks he was the one who took his sweet tim getting here. Another few seconds, and he would have had a whole new face! Nash thinks it couldn't be any nastier than the one he already has. Guile thinks he's one to talk, and they both start laughing.

Back in the present, Guile says that time was pretty bad, now that Nash mentioned it. But he still has the feeling that what's waiting for them on that island is like nothing they've ever faced before. Nash says since when has certain death every been a deterrent for them? Guile says they'll go and find that kid. On the island, Ken collapses next to a tree. He says that was the hadou sho ryu ken... a pretty cool name. He can't wait to tell Ryu, but then wonders what they are doing to him.

He says there's no time to rest, as he needs to find Ryu. He gets up and goes back towards the fortress, but notices a few guards at the top of a tower. He thinks for Ryu to hang on, as he's coming to save him.

Guile and Nash use scuba gear, and get onto the island undetected. They start climbing up the side of a cliff.

Inside the fortress, Bison laughs, and watches as Ryu opens his eyes.

A mysterious eagle's head statue reflects the sinister light shining in Ryu's eyes. And while Fei Long is being approached in Barcelona by Interpol Chief Barrac, Ken infiltrates the Shadowlaw fortress. Little does he know that Guile and Nash are on the island as well -but they are not the only ones!
