Shuuta, Cab and Minerva have been called to Canada by Hawk, and they meet him at British Motors. He says that they have something to show them, and head inside one of the manufacturing plants. After using an elevator to travel down several levels, the doors open and they the Cybertron Pretenders working on something big.
Hawk explains that they are creating a Transformer called Godbomber, who will serve as a power-up for Super Ginrai. Godbomber will be able to merge with Super Ginrai, creating God Ginrai.
At the Destron base, Devil Z says that somehow the plan they have been secretly carrying out has been leaked to the Cybertrons. According to his off-world ally -who is near the Earth right now -the Cybertron known as Grand Maximus became aware of it and told the Cybertron Pretenders.
However Devil Z has become aware of the Bomber Project, which will be a power-up for Super Ginrai. Grand Maximus is helping the Cybertrons with this project, meaning it is a major concern for them. He says that they are to use any means necessary to stop the project's completion.
Back at British Motors, Shuuta can't wait for the project to be completed, and Cab thinks they won't have anything to fear from the Destrons any more. But Hawk warns that he is wrong, as they have found out that the Destrons have a powerful new weapon. The Bomber Project was completed to counter it.
Giga gives Hydra and Buster instructions: they will stop the Cybertron's Bomber Project! Their mission, handed down by Devil Z himself, is to locate Ginrai and destroy his trailer. Later on, Ginrai is out on the road...
...but stops at his favorite diner. After ordering a meal, a guy called Billy Hyler comes over to him, and finds out he's Ginrai. He says he is from Z Productions, and he makes movies. There is something he wants Ginrai to do for him -they're currently making a movie with a lot of stunts in it, and he needs someone who can handle a big rig. He's heard that Ginrai's driving technique is unrivalled, and really wants him to appear in the movie so he can do some amazing stunts. Happy at being called the best, Ginrai agrees to work with him.
Billy takes Ginrai to the movie set, where he meets the director, S. Pakinper. Pakinper introduces himself and then explains Ginrai's scene. He'll be a friend of the main character, chasing after members of a crime syndicate. In this scene, he will be breaking through the enemy defenses before he starts to go after them. What will happen during the shoot is that Ginrai will have to drive around some explosives, which will detonate as he passes them. Ginrai takes down their locations on a map, and then Pakinper shows him the rig he wants to use. But Billy says that as this is a difficult scene, Ginrai should use his own truck as he is more used to driving it. Pakinper thinks this is a good idea and allows it.
Ginrai goes to get ready, whilst Billy walks off...and meets with Buster! Billy is really Hydra in disguise, and he finds out that Buster has set an extra explosive not shown on the map. It is placed right at the end of the route. Meanwhile the movie crew is ready, and the cameras start to film.
The scene begins, and Ginrai evades the explosives, trying to get as close as he can to each one to make it look more exciting. He clears them all without trouble, and Pakinper is thrilled with the result.
But as Ginrai comes to the end, there is a massive explosion caused by Buster's super mine. It sends Ginrai flying, with his trailer separating from the cab. The crew rush to the cab, and are glad to see he is alright. But he wants to know what just happened, and asks where Billy is. But everyone then hears some jet engines...
...as Hydra and Buster dive down towards them. Ginrai tells the film crew to run, whilst Hydra starts firing on the trailer. Meanwhile Hydra concentrates his fire on Ginrai himself.
Buster transforms and starts to just punch the trailer as hard as he can. Ginrai transforms and is about to go and stop him, only for Hydra to transform and blast him down.
Ginrai gets up and starts to fight the Godmaster brothers, and the battle is seen by the other Destrons at their base. Giga says it is time for him and Mega to move out. After checking their Master-braces...
...the two use the Masterforce and suit up. They then head to a hangar, where their transtectors await.
GIGATANK, MEGAJET
The transtectors launched out of the base, and Mega's jet is able to carry Giga's tank. Back in the desert, Hydra and Buster have been battered by Ginrai's Choukon power.
They unite into their Darkwings mode, as Ginrai units with his trailer to become Super Ginrai. He charges up a super shot which is made out of all three special energies, and fires it...
...causing heavy damage to Hydra and Buster. But Mega then appears next to them and says they'll deal with things from here. Hydra and Muster immediately pull out, as Super Ginrai sees that two other vehicles have appeared in front of him. Giga and Mega introduce themselves to Ginrai, saying that they are Destron Godmasters. And they are the ones who will bring an end to his life! Super Ginrai wonders if they could be the secret Destron weapon Hawk warned him about.
Giga opens fire and hits one of Super Ginrai's shoulders. Mega attacks from the air and stuns him, giving Giga the chance to fire another shell which hits one of his legs.
This brings Super Ginrai to his knees, and Giga tells Mega to merge now. The two merge with their transtectors, which split apart and unite to form:
OVERLORD
Overlord (who speaks in Giga's voice) says he will make Super Ginrai realise his power. He uses his "Choukon Bolt Masher" attack, which has him fire several missiles. But these missiles are filled with an extremely powerful acid, which melt Super Ginrai's gun and cause damage to his body. Super Ginrai says he won't be beaten so easily and jump kicks Overlord in the face.
He then starts to punch him, but Overlord reveals another attack called "Mega Child" -he launches the jet on his arm, which blasts off and starts firing on Super Ginrai. The laser blasts hit him, and with him stunned...
...Overlord quickly resumes his dominance in the battle. He knocks his opponent down and starts stomping on him. At British Motors, Shuuta says how God Ginrai will be able to go into space, but Minerva is concerned that Ginrai himself isn't here yet -he said he would come.
Back at the battle, Super Ginrai says he won't be defeated by the Destrons, but this gives Overlord the excuse to hit him even more. After knocking him down for a second time, Overlord leaps high up into the air and then stomps on him hard.
Super Ginrai has been defeated -and Overlord says he's done it! They major enemy has finally been conquered. Overlord transforms back into the two separate transtectors, which merge and leave. Giga says that Ginrai's death will shock the Cybertrons, whilst Mega says with him out of the way, they can use this opportunity to crush the others and wipe them all out. The Earth shall soon be theirs!
In the desert, Super Ginrai is not dead. He just about manages to get up slightly, and says he can't die. Ginrai falls out of his transtector and says that he won't die!
NOTES
The Z Productions card Billy passes to Ginrai has part of the Takara and Toei logos on it -the black head used to be Takara's mascot, whilst the hat on the head is from Pero, Toei's mascot.
S. Pakinper is a parody of Sam Peckinpah, an American film director. One of his films is called The Getaway, which happens to be the same name as the American version of Lightfoot. Another of his films is called Convoy, which just happens to be the Japanese name of Optimus Prime.
Pakinper's voice is provided by Daisuke Gōri, who also voices Darous.
