A young Vernedead stands crying behind his grandfather. His grandfather asks why he is crying, so Vernedead tells him it's because the children at school call him the son of a murderer, and that his whole family fights wars for money. His Grandfather says that that's the truth. The men of the family have been mercenaries for eight generations now. Vernedead's father died in Columbia. He knew he had a son on the way and needed cash for him, and bit off more than he could chew.

Vernedead asks his grandfather if he's ever killed people, and he says he has. Vernedead asks what for, what did they do to deserve death? His grandfather tells him that has nothing to do with it, it's a job. Anyone who found himself at the end of his gun was fighting for something... should it be for a government, for the homeland, for family, a woman, just food or drink -there are so many reasons, some good, some bad. A mercenary doesn't ask questions, as it's enough to know the other man is dying for something. The question is if that reason is worth fighting for.

Fighting for money has always been a good enough reason for him. They get marched onto chessboards all over the world, killing and getting killed for pennies. They fight for money because saying they fight for fun is just too horrible to admit. With a legacy like theirs, of course the others are going to pick on him at school. And whilst he's crying now, he's sure he'll come around one of these days. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Back in the present, Vernedead thinks his grandfather was right, and it was never about the money. Its always been about the fun.

The Nazis enter the mansion, and slaughter any of the Wild Geese they find. Zorin then enters.

One of the Wild Geese's second squad reports in, and says they're in the shit down here. He says they won't be able to make it back to them. Vernedead tells him he doesn't care if he has to crawl, he orders him to fall back to the Round Table room. It's the easiest place to make a barricade, but they won't close it up until they're back. The guy reporting in says they can't make it back, and tells Vernedead to close off the barricade now.

Vernedead has no choice but to let him have his way, and says this is goodbye. The guy says this has been a hell of a ride, and says he doesn't regret a thing. Vernedead says to close up the barricade and seal up the hall. The lieutenant asks about the others, but Vernedead says they were all killed in action.

One guy says they're all going to die tonight, and asks how they can fight Nazi vampires. He thinks that Integra and Alucard have sold them out. He says he's done, but Vernedead tells him he's got nowhere to go, not that he'd let him leave anyway. He says that this place is going to be their grave, the mansion will be their tombstone. Their epitaph will read that here lies the bad ass Wild Geese, who kicked Nazi ass for Queen and crumpets.

But if he keeps up his whining, their epitaph will instead read that the Wild Geese died as gutless pussies who died pissing themselves crying like schoolgirls. Vernedead grabs the guy and tells him to man up, as he takes the money because he likes it, he fights because he likes it, and now he's going to die because he likes it.

The Nazis continue to kill the Wild Geese. Zorin says to burn it down, and kill every bastard they find. She is amused that the Wild Geese are the best Hellsing has to offer, and thinks these meat sacks are meant to be the combat elite. As she walks down a corridor, one remaining soldier sees that she's by herself.

He jumps out and shoots at her, but his bullets are blocked by the Nazis. Zorin says she has something special for him, and using her special powers, she makes the soldier think he has returned home.

He can't believe it and says it isn't real, but then his daughter Michelle appears. He can't believe this either, as Michelle had died, but he feels her and realizes that she's really there. However everything is just part of Zorin's illusion. She says the joke's on Daddy.

She then splits the man in half with her scythe, and says she's sorry that she had to cut his reunion short. Elsewhere in the mansion, some of the Nazis are feasting on the dead Wild Geese, making a game out of it: they try to guess their blood types as they consume them. But they then all get shot to pieces.

After killing another group, Seras looks around and says that she'll make them pay... every last one of them will be torn to shreds. Elsewhere, another group of Nazis approach the Round Table conference room.

They throw some grenades, which explode and damage the barricade. Several of the Wild Geese are wounded, as another guy says they're all going to die here. Vernedead orders for the last of their ammo to be handed out, but finds that they're out of silver bullets and don't have many regular ones left either. Some of the men again conclude that they're all going to die, and don't want to, something Vernedead agrees with.

He tells them to stop yelling in his ear. The lieutenant says this reminds him of what happened in that airfield in Uganda. It looked like they were done for until reinforcements arrived, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen this time. Vernedead says not to give up just yet, and tells everyone that Seras is coming -he's sure of it. But just as he says this, the Nazis fire a panzerfaust at them.

This blows apart the barricade, injuring even more of the Wild Geese. Pip has taken a hit this time, and has some shrapnel in his stomach. He also finds that the blast tore his lieutenant in two, but he's still alive. He asks him if he can rest, and Pip tells him he can, he's earned it. Outside, the Nazis ask Zorin if they should advance. She tells them to fire their last panzerfaust first, just to further soften their enemy up.

Before the Nazi can fire, he has his head blown apart. The other Nazis turn around too late, as they also get cut up by bullets. Only Zorin survives, and she sees that Seras has arrived.

Zorin refers to her as being the bitch who downed her zeppelin. Vernedead says he knew Seras would come, and tells his men to smoke them if you have them, as it's time for the main event. Seras has ran out of ammo for the Harkonnen II, and drops it. Zorin asks if she's surrendering, but she says that's tough talk for the last Nazi alive.

Zorin tells her she'll love this, and strikes the ground. She uses a spell which takes over the entire corridor. Seras tries not to let it effect her, knowing that Zorin can create illusions, and screams it's not real. Zorin enters her mind and goes into her memories. Seras remembers a time when a teacher took her to the headmaster. She had been making trouble again, having hit a boy with a rock for taking a toy away from her. As Seras continues to try and escape this illusion, she remembers that the teacher said she was probably still traumatized by that incident. Whilst the headmaster understood, he said that if she doesn't improve, he'll send her packing, for the good of the orphanage.

Seras tries to escape the illusion, but Zorin says she wants more. She finds a memory of someone telling Seras to think it over -her father was a fine policeman, one of the best. But there is a world of possibilities out there for her, and he would hate to see her squander her potential.

Seras thinks that was ancient history, but Zorin says they're going to the very bottom. Seras screams.

She becomes her younger self, and relives the incident. Her mother tells her to hide in a closet, and no matter what happens, she isn't to come out of it. Seconds after the doors are closed, Seras hears several gunshots. She opens the doors slightly.

She sees two men standing over a body, and one of them is holding a gun. As she peers round a little more, she sees that the body is that of her father. The two men taunt him, saying this is what happens when an undercover officer sticks his snout where it didn't belong. Seras then sees that the men have also killed her mother.

One of the men says killing the woman was just for fun. Seras runs out, picking up a fork. Before either of the two men can stop her, she stabs the fork into one of the men's eyes.

The other man shoots her, and they both believe that she's dead. The shooter says they'd better leave, but the stabbed man says he wants to rape the woman first. Even though she's dead, she's still warm. As he starts to do this, Seras sees everything.

Reliving this memory causes Seras to stop moving, and she cries. Zorin says good morning to her, and says it's time to wake up. As she asks Seras if she had a nightmare, she uses her scythe to slice one of Seras' arms off.

Seras screams, but Zorin thinks she can do better than that. She plunges her weapon into Seras' back, and it goes through her. As Seras tries to get up, Zorin tells her she's not so tough anymore. She stomps on her head and say she loves the way she squirms beneath her boot heel. She then lifts up her head, and presses her scythe against Seras' eyes.

She slices her eyes and blinds her. Seras isn't dead and slowly tries to crawl away, as Zorin tells her that she is weak -she thought she was going to be a challenge. But she's just trash, like all of those other men she's killed. She wonders how to end this, and thinks she'll just cut her head off. But before she can, Vernedead smashes her in the face with his rifle.

He pulls out another gun and shoots Zorin several times. As she falls down, some of the Wild Geese throw smoke grenades, and tell their Captain to hurry.

Vernedead picks Seras up, and takes her back towards the conference room. But as he does, one of the shot Nazis gets back up, and shoots Vernedead.

He manages to stay standing, and continues to make his way towards the conference room. The Wild Geese shoot the Nazi, killing him.

Vernedead still has the strength to keep going, but then falls when Zorin strikes him in the back with her scythe. He drops Seras, and falls down next to a wall. Seras asks what happened. He says she came in here to save him, now he has to save her. He lights up a cigarette.

Seras crawls over to him, and asks why he didn't run away. Vernedead then finally gets his kiss from Seras, and he says he finally stole that kiss -even if it took her being blind to do it. He asks her what's with the tears, as he had a damn good run. He tells her to suck his blood, and take him into herself, so they can win this fight.

He then collapses, telling Seras not to waste her tears on a mercenary. She lost her pretty blue eyes and her arm, which was a waste. He thinks in another time or place... she's a rare woman. He'll die, so she can live. As Seras realizes that Vernedead has died, she cries out.

Zorin says a scene like that can just break your heart. But that man was a bug, and she just had to swat him down like a gnat. And whilst they've done quite a number on them, this is it. She reveals some more troops, who were late arrivals. They'll crush these bugs between their fingers -which is the death insects deserve. She then casts her spell again.

Seras says that Zorin called Vernedead a gnat, so she will pay. She screams that Zorin will pay, and then bites down onto Vernedead's neck. She starts sucking his blood.

Having never done this to anyone before, Seras has now become a true vampire. Her eyes are back, and are now permanently red. Her outfit has changed to a red color, and her severed arm has become something else. She thanks Vernedead, and tells him to rest in peace -but not yet, not until he's helped her send these Nazis to hell. The spell Zorin cast suddenly breaks apart, and the Nazis wonder what's going on.

Zorin sees that the Nazis, who are battle-hardened Waffen SS soldiers, are now ready to piss themselves at the sight of a girl. One stupid, weak little girl who's more dead than alive. The Nazis start firing, but Seras charges towards them. Her left arm has become shadow matter, and she uses it like a tendril. It rips the Nazis to pieces.

Zorin can only watch as all of her men are cut to ribbons, as Seras continues to advance towards her. Seras grabs Zorin by the face...

...and slams her to the floor. Zorin starts punching Seras in the head repeatedly, until Seras catches her fist and bites off her fingers. She tells Zorin that even if she was about to die, she would not drink a single drop of her evil blood.

She won't do it as she doesn't want her inside of her. Zorin manages to get her other hand onto Seras, and uses her power one more time. She succeeds and tries to get Seras to relive her horrific memory. Seras lets go of Zorin's head. Zorin says they'll go even deeper, and wants to see Sera's pain. But she realizes something is wrong.

What she's seeing aren't Seras' memories. She realizes that Seras' memories seem to be protected by someone else, and sees that someone else is that mercenary gnat. She then hears Schrödinger in her head. He tells her that blood is the currency of the soul, and the vehicle of life. Having blood offered is a very different experience that taking it. He asks Zorin if she's OK, as she looks awful. She is surprised to see him, but he tells her not to be, as he's everywhere, and nowhere. And he has a message for her from the Major.

The Major said that stealing marches and first strikes are the rewards every soldier wants. But what is the reward for a commander when these soldiers fail, when they go against orders, lose men and prove themselves to be inept? That's the end of the message. And in normal circumstances, Zorin would be burnt to a crisp now, but the fact is the Major and Doc are busy with their fascinating new toy, so they don't have time to deal with her. And since Seras seems to have her pretty well taken care of... it's such a paradox. This monster is Seras Victoria, yet it's not her. But rest assured, Seras will be ending Zorin's unlife any moment now. He says goodbye to her, and Zorin's spell then ends. Seras slams her face first into a wall.

She runs down the corridor, asking Zorin how it feels to have someone fuck with her head. As Seras continues to run, Zorin's face is burnt off. Seras then tosses Zorin's body...

...to the floor. The body erupts into blue flames seconds later, as Seras looks at it. She then looks as the body of Vernedead.

After staring for a few seconds, she tells the Wild Geese that she's heading out. She made a promise to their captain that they would get them. So now, she must head off and do that, as she and the captain are only getting started.

The two soldiers see that whilst their captain has died, he still lives on inside Seras. The two of them then salute Seras, and thank her and their captain. She smiles...

...and then jumps out of a window, using her new powers to effortlessly fly away. Within seconds she has become a red streak of light.
