In addition to the below, this anime has been released on VHS, but the video versions are obsolete these days.

Viz released Fatal Fury Double Impact in 2000, which is a single disc release featuring both New Battle and the first special on it. It has both the English dub and the Japanese dub with English subtitles. As with their New Battle VHS release, this version features an edited intro which displays the English title of "Fatal Fury 2". The credits sequence is also different to the Japanese version, the main change is that it omits the scenes featuring Tony on the train, and Hopper contacting Joe. "Calling", the song which plays during the end credits, was not dubbed and instead has English subtitles. The credits also still have the plug for the SEGA CD port of Fatal Fury Special, despite the SEGA CD being a long dead format when this DVD was released.

Extra features include chapter selection, some concept art and an easter egg. The easter egg can be found by highlighting the conceptual drawings option in the extra stuff menu, then pressing right on your remote. One of Terry's eyes will have a sparkle on it. Select this and the deleted scene featuring Joe fighting Big Bear will play. This scene was not dubbed into English, and features Japanese dialog with English subtitles.

Discotek released Fatal Fury: Legends of the Hungry Wolf on DVD in 2014. Like Viz's DVD release, it features both New Battle and the first anime on one disc. Also like Viz's release, it has both the English dub and the Japanese dub with English subtitles. The box mimics a Neo Geo game box. The extras are a "credits" option, which plays the English credits sequence from the Viz version (and it still has that SEGA CD ad!), along with a gallery containing a few pieces of promotional art.

This version also features the Japanese opening title and credits sequences. The very end of the credits feature an image of Mai and Andy, something which wasn't present in the Viz version. Finally, the biggest change with the Discotek version is that it restores the deleted scene with Joe and Big Bear. This is fine if you're watching it with the Japanese dub on, but as no English dub for the scene exists, it awkwardly switches from English to Japanese and then back to English again when you have the English dub on.

Whilst it's stated to be a region 1 DVD on the packaging, this isn't the case and will play on any region of DVD player, unlike the Viz version which is region locked to region 1 only. Sadly neither of the animes were remastered, which is what I wanted the most. So really if you've already got the Viz Double Impact DVD, there's not much point getting this one as well. However...

In 2021, Discotek surprised everyone by announcing a new Blu-ray set, which would include the two specials, and for the first time, both would be remastered! I don't currently own this version, but from what I've seen of it, this is definitely the best version you can buy. Discotek really went all out for this release, as for the first time ever, the Joe and Big Bear deleted scene includes an English dub! New voice actors were cast for the speaking parts, with George Peter voicing Joe, Earl Fisher voicing Big Bear/Raiden, Brent Mukai voicing Cheng and Christopher Guerrero providing the announcer's voice. With the great video quality and extras exclusive to this version, Discotek's blu-ray is the ideal way to watch Fatal Fury 2: The New Battle.
