Joe Higashi Vs. Big Bear

This scene was cut out of the film for the TV version, but was restored to the Japanese video and laser disc releases. It was not included in Viz's video releases, but is a hidden easter egg on their Fatal Fury Double Impact DVD. To access it, go to the extra stuff section and highlight conceptual drawings. Then press right and one of Terry's eyes will have a sparkle on it. Access this and the scene will play. The scene was added back to the main feature for Discotek's DVD release.

The scene takes place right after Hopper informs Geese that Krauser has defeated Terry. It's believed that Viz never dubbed this scene into English. However, in 2021, this was rectified by Discotek. Their Blu-ray release included a new English dub for the scene.

In a city, a match is about to take place between Joe Higashi and Big Bear. Joe thinks he's met his opponent before. Big Bear says it's him: Lord Raiden! Joe thinks that without his mask, he's kind of cute. Raiden laughs and says he's the top ranked wrestler in the world, so now it's payback time for what he did to him last year! Joe tells him to save his money and buy a noose for a necktie.

Raiden says he's going to enjoy shutting his big mouth. The announcer then says that this match has special rules. Once the bell sounds, the ropes will carry a high voltage current, so the audience can prepare for an exciting death match! Joe runs over and tells organizer, Cheng, that he'd never mentioned that before!

Cheng says this is just a little service for their paying customers. Joe says this wasn't in his contact, but before he can get out, the bell sounds. Cheng says it's too late, and turns up the voltage. Joe gets shocked, and stumbles back into Big Bear. Big Bear gets him into a hold, and tells him he'll be squashed, just like his friend Terry! Joe asks what he's talking about, and Big Bear tells him that Terry was trashed by some guy called Krauser.

Joe says he can't believe it, and then throws Big Bear off of him. Big Bear hits the ropes, and is shocked. Joe leaps out of the ring, but Cheng tells him that the match isn't over yet. He wants him to get back in the ring, but Joe tells him to get out of the way.

Cheng tells him he's going back into that ring even if he has to put him back in it himself. He says he's a martial artist, but Joe uses his hurricane upper before he can do anything. He hits Cheng on the chin...

...and sends him flying upwards. He lands in the ring and as the bell goes again, Joe tells him that some guys don't know their limits. He then says goodbye and walks off.

Other deleted scenes

These images are from the credits for the Japanese version. They show a couple of scenes which are not actually in the film. As "Calling" is playing during the credits, the original dialogue cannot be heard. It was presumably recorded, but was never used.

Tony at the train station

This scene would have most likely taken place right after Terry is seen getting on the train.

A large woman boards the train. As she does, Tony runs right under her skirt to board the train without detection. After he does this, he turns around and seems to thank her. She doesn't seem to mind.

It appears that Tony is spying on Terry, but then an attendant spots him. Tony manages to run past him and head into another part of the train, most likely an area where he can gain access to the roof.

Hopper calls Joe

My guess is that this scene would have taken place right before we see Krauser watching the parade for the Queen of Nottingham.

Joe is watching something on TV (he must be in a hotel somewhere) when his phone rings. He picks it up and is surprised...

...to find out that Hopper has called him. What he is calling about is something we have no idea on, but Hopper says something that makes Joe's eyes widen.

Hopper then ends the call, and looks to the right. Joe opens the blinds and sees a lot of people in the street, presumably trying to find Hopper. But Hopper is nowhere to be seen. Hopper's call was most likely him telling Joe where to find Krauser.
