Fist of the North Star 2

The Final Episode

As the North Star army moves out, Hyoh thinks he can't die yet -he must witness the battle between Kenshiro and Kaioh. Rihaku sees the Big Dipper in the sky, and thinks that the fate of the North Star will bring yet another tragedy.

Farewell Kenshiro!!
Farewell, the North Star Divine Fist!!

The big dipper shines brightly in the sky. Kaioh tells Kenshiro that he will now dispel the 2,000 years of disgrace endured by the North Star lapis lazuli fist with the resentment of his mother, the founder Ryuo, and his own hatred. He unleashes his evil fighting spirtual energy.

Up above, the North Star army arrive. Bat wants to go down but the Black King is hesitant, and Rihaku tells he must not go. This is a battle between two men who have staked their lives on their fists. All they can do it witness it. Kaioh uses a technique called anryu gyakugeki ha (dark style charge destruction)...

...which Kenshiro counters with a technique called touki ransou (fighting spiritual energy wild layer). Kaioh's blast hits him, and causes the ground to rip apart.

Kaioh falls, but as his attack ends, he sees it hasn't harmed Kenshiro at all. Kenshiro tells him it won't work -his evil fighting spiritual energy won't win.

Kaioh gets up, and thinks that none of his techniques work any more... is this the strength of the North Star divine fist, and has he reached his own limit? He refuses to accept this, and thinks that he has the will and pride that has driven him to be the creator of the new century. He screams he is the first supreme leader, Kaioh, and the water behind him starts to clear up. It reveals a path to his mother's tombstone.

He starts to walk towards it, but a pressure point on his leg explodes, causing him to fall. He crawls the rest of the way there, and rips the tombstone out of the ground.

This reveals a very small statue, an object that was placed over where Kaioh's mother was buried. Kaioh thinks that even if the heavens and the land reversed, he wouldn't change his ways. He asks his mother to be given the strength for one last attack. With those words, a geyser of water blasts out of the ground.

Kaioh is sent high up into the air, and he drops down towards Kenshiro.

Before Kaioh can strike, Kenshiro hits him with a punch to his chest, defeating him.

Kenshiro thinks that it has been a long journey, but the tradegy of the North Star, that began 2,000 years ago, has finally ended. As Kaioh drops to the ground, Kenshiro wonders if this was the right way.

Kaioh says that was impressive, the North Star divine fist truly is the ultimate martial art -this is the first time he has ever lost. He wonders what would have happened if their positions had been revesed -if Ryuo had been the leader of the North Star clan, and he had become the successor to the North Star divine fist. Kenshiro says that if that had happened, then he may have been the one who was defeated today. Kaioh tells him to finish him off.

Kenshiro picks up the statue, and passes it to Kaioh. Kaioh wonders why he is showing him sympathy even now. Kenshiro calls him a friend. Kaioh takes the statue and says that he would have lost, even if they were in opposite positions. He'd abandoned his compassion, and lived his life with his soul filled with evil, all for the creation of a new century led by the North Star lapis lazuli fist. But the heavens have chosen Kenshiro, so his own dream was an empty one.

He thinks that had he met Kenshiro sooner, he would have listened to his destiny. He's now done things that are irrevocable, like what he did to Lin. He thinks that a child between Kenshiro and Lin would be a worthy successor to the North Star clan. Bat then jumps down and says Lin is alright.

Bat says that Hyoh risked his life to protect Lin. Hyoh goes up to Kaioh, and says there's still something he has to do for him. Kaioh tells him he has come a long way, and says he can finish him off with his own fist.

Hyoh makes a fist, but then hesitates in attacking. He then weakly punches Kaioh's chest, and then collapses on top of him. Kaioh calls him an idiot -he won't be killed with a weak punch like that!

He reminds Hyoh that he's the man who killed the woman he loved, and dragged him into the dark world. He knows Hyoh must still want vengeance. Hyoh says he didn't come here to fight, he just has one last thing to tell him. If he was strong, and had the abilities to become the successor to the North Star clan, then Kaioh wouldn't have gone astray. In the end, Hyoh believes this was all his fault. He asks Kaioh to forgive him, his weak brother. Kaioh cries and asks if he came all this way just to tell him this.

Hyoh says he will be able to meet Sayaka soon, and that will be the time for the three of them to reuntie. Kaioh hugs him and says they can go back to those childhood days, and play together again. Hyoh then dies in Kaioh's arms.

Kaioh cries out Hyoh's name. He picks up his body, and starts to walk up to the top of a cliff. He says that this land is where his mother lies, and he has already decided where he will die.

He gets to the edge of the cliff, and thinks of his mother. He then steps on a certain rock, causing lava to blast out of the ground.

As the lava surrounds him, he says farewell to Kenshiro. The lava then pours over him...

...but when it clears, he still stands there with Hyoh. Their bodies are covered in the lava, but it hasn't destroyed them. It has hardened, creating a statue.

Kenshiro catches a rock then gets blasted off, and says goodbye to them both. Bat says he heard about Lin's condition from Hyoh. He tells Kenshiro that Lin has always loved him dearly.

Kenshiro removes Lin's blindfold, and looks at her. He thinks back...

He recalls when he first met her, and the last time she spoke to him.

Back in the present, Bat tells Ken that Lin has endured pain and sorrow until now. But she doesn't have to anymore, the time has come for Lin to live for her own happiness. Whereever he goes, battles await him -that is his destiny. He tells Bat to take care of Lin, as he is the only one who can answer Lin's love.

Kenshiro mounts the Black King, but Bat asks him to wait -does he have to do this? Kenshiro tells him to live happily together with Lin, and then bids him farewell.

Rihaku thinks that the destiny of the North Star continues. He wonders if Kenshiro is going on to his next challenge, another new battle. Bat yells out Ken's name. Later on, Kenshiro thinks that there have been many battles, and many friends...
