A Sad Victim of Love!
This Is The Origin of The Evil Kaioh!!

Kaioh throws Lin down and tells her that this place, the Demon Swamp, is the origin of his evil. Whenever he stands here, he taints his body and soul. To him, evil is the ultimate power, but Lin says the final victory will be the one with love -Ken will surely defeat him. Kaioh says they'll see about that.

He starts chanting, and uses a technique. He asks the demons to grant him more evil fighting spiritual energy. The color of the water changes, as the lake appears to boil. Kaioh seems to receive energy from the swamp itself, and it greatly boosts his demonic aura.

He then realizes they're not alone, and throws out an energy blast. It destroys part of a cliff, revealing Black Yaksha, who jumps out. Kaioh hits him with another blast.

As Black Yaksha falls, Kaioh tells him to inform Kenshiro that the North Star divine fist doesn't stand a chance anymore. He'll let him taste the extreme fist he's developed. Black Yaksha heads off. Meanwhile, out in the wasteland...

...Leia and Kenshiro have made a grave for Shachi. Leia recalls what Shachi had said to her -he'd lived for her love, and would die for her love. Black Yaksha then stumbles over.

He tells Kenshiro he's fine, but then reveals where Kaioh has taken Lin. He says that Kaioh has strengthened his evil fighting spiritual energy, and tells Kenshiro he is the only one who can defeat him. They see the Big Dipper shining brightly in the sky, and Kenshiro says he'll surely defeat Kaioh. He starts to leave.

Leia asks him to wait, and says this was Shachi's protector. She and the children made it, hoping for peace to come. She asks him to wear it during his fight with Kaioh. Kenshiro takes it, and says he'll fight together with Shachi's soul. He then tells her and Black Yaksha that they shall meet again.

As Kenshiro walks off, Black Yaksha tells Leia not to worry -Kenshiro will surely defeat Kaioh. Kenshiro finds a small boat, and uses it to head to the swamp.

He soon arrives, and sees Kaioh and Lin. Kaioh tells him it looks like he's broken the seal of the North Star, but it's too late. He then shatters his own helmet.

Upon seeing Kaioh's real face for the first time, Kenshiro tells him he looks like Raoh. Kaioh asks him if he surprised, as Kenshiro realizes that Kaioh must be... Kaioh confirms it by saying that he is Raoh's older brother. But he's not like Raoh, who was a fool who gave in to love and compassion. He hates love, and has abandoned compassion -all he has is evil!

Kenshiro asks him why he hates love so much. Kaioh points out to the middle of the swamp, and says that what they can see is the gravestone of his mother.

He says that his mother died for Kenshiro and Hyoh. It was when he was still a child, right before the final war had started...

Kaioh asks Raoh if he understood what Jukei told them -that they were planets of the Big Dipper, planets that serve and die for the North Star clan. He himself doesn't understand it. If they were dogs like Ryu, they'd serve their master for life -but they aren't dogs. They then hear an explosion at the temple, and run towards it.

They arrive at the temple, and see that their mother is safe, and has saved Toki. Two other guys stumble out, and says Kenshiro and Hyoh are still inside the temple. But the flames are too fierce, and they believe it's too late. Kaioh's mother tells her sons to douse her with water.

Raoh brings her a bucket, and she pours water over herself. Kaioh asks her if she's really going, and she says she must try. Kaioh says it's too late, and Kenshiro and Hyoh are just strangers. She tells him that two children are engulfed in flames, if she abandons them, she'd cease to be human. Kaioh says she doesn't have to go, but she says that this is the fate of the planets of the North Star.

She runs back into the temple, looks back at her children, and then runs inside.

Kaioh didn't know that that would be the last time he ever saw his mother's smile. Later on, as the fire dies out, he and Raoh looked for their mother in the ruins. Ryu barks at some wreckage, so they pick it up.

Under it is their mother, who has died. But under her are Hyoh and Kenshiro, who have both survived. Some time later, a funeral is held for their mother.

Jukei asks why such a horrible disaster had to happen during his absence. He tells Kaioh and Raoh that thanks to their mother, Hyoh and Kenshiro of the North Star clan were saved. She tells them to praise her, as she lived her life drive by the fate of the North Star, and had true, deep love. Kaioh snaps, and asks what good praising her would do -will it bring her back to life? He starts punching Jukei, asking why his mother had to sacrifice herself for the North Star clan. As Raoh stops him, Kaioh shouts for his mother to be brought back.

Later on, Kaioh and Raoh return to where their mother is. Kaioh says they can't leave their mother with members of the clan, and opens the coffin up. He tells his mother he'll help her now, and takes her body out. He says he won't let them bury his mother, and won't let anyone touch her.

They take her out, and Kaioh says they'll bury her here. He and Raoh start digging, and place their mother's body into the new grave.

As they start covering her up, Kaioh made a promise to himself -if his mother was sacrificed for the fate of the North Star, he will defy that fate. If she died for love and compassion, he would annihilate those things. He asks himself what would make him overcome those things, and realized what it was: evil. If his heart was filled with evil, it wouldn't be in pain over his mother's death. And he could forget his mother's last smile. Ryu then walks up to him and starts rubbing against his leg.

Kaioh kicks him, and as Raoh goes up to him, he notices the look on his face. Kaioh thinks he'll fill his heart with evil, and curse the North Star clan for the rest of his life. He begins to raise his evil fighting spiritual energy.

In doing so, the ground under Ryu crumbles, and he falls into the water. As the current takes him away, Raoh goes to help him, but Kaioh stops him. Raoh tells him he loved Ryu so much, why won't he save him?

Kaioh thinks he must abandon love and compassion, and they watch as Ryu disappears. Kaioh falls to his knees, and says his heart hurts. He notices a spike on the ground.

As he picks it up, Raoh tries to stop him, but Kaioh punches him. Kaioh then stabs himself in the leg, and screams out. It was at that moment that he erased pain from his heart. As he gained scars on his body, he abandoned the love and compassion he had nested in his heart.

Back in the present, Kaioh says there's no love or compassion left in him. His heart is pure evil, whilst love and compassion are his only enemy. He notices Lin crying, and asks why she's doing that. She tells him that if his heart has lost the ability to love, why does he fear and hate it so much? Kaioh thinks she's immature, and says there's no need for love in this world.

Lin says that love can never be destroyed, no matter what. Kaioh slaps her, and tells Kenshiro not to move. He says that only terror and violence can control people, whilst love is just trash.

Kenshiro says he will fight for love. Kaioh says he's not like his brother, who was defeated due to his foolish love and compassion. He tells Kenshiro to prepare himself, and bring it on. Kenshiro tells him he'd be no match for Raoh. Kaioh tells him to shut up, and fires an energy blast at him.

Kenshiro uses nil-thought rebirth to avoid it. Kaioh says that technique didn't work on him before, and tries to distort the space around Kenshiro. But Kenshiro isn't effected by this, and charges forward.

He cuts Kaioh several times, and then waits next to Lin. Kaioh doesn't understand why this happened, he defeated his nil-thought rebirth before. Kenshiro tells him the North Star divine fist evolves, it doesn't mean his nil-thought rebirth was defeated. Kaioh thinks he's being soft fighting with a girl behind his back, and goes to attack again.

However, Kenshiro punches him in the face, causing him to crash into a cliff. Kenshiro says this is his brother Raoh's technique. Kaioh gets up, and whistles.

This signals for his horse to charge, so Kenshiro grabs Lin, and jumps over him. Kaioh then unleashes another energy blast, which Kenshiro protects Lin from.

Kenshiro ends up smashing into a cliff, and drops Lin. He falls and lands on a ledge, but Lin falls all the way down to Kaioh, who grabs her. He asks Kenshiro if he understands -his compassion for her is his weakness, and now he'll show him how foolish love is.

He tells her to look carefully at Kenshiro's face, as this'll be the last time she sees him. She knows she loves Kenshiro the most, but he'll destroy that love. He throws Lin up, and then strikes a pressure point on her back called shikanhaku. Kaioh says that once the pressure point is struck, she'll lose all love, along with the light in her eyes.

Lin says that everything is disappearing, and calls out Ken's name. But she then loses consciousness. Kaioh says that when Lin opens her eyes, she will devote all of her love to the first person she sees -even if he's some dirty little villain!

He puts her on his horse, and says that evil can control even love and compassion. He tells his horse to go for a stroll, and the horse runs off. Kenshiro jumps down...

...but Kaioh hits him with a kick, sending him crashing to the ground. Kaioh tells Kenshiro not to panic, as he doesn't know when Lin will wake up. It could be in just a few seconds, or maybe it'll be in a year. But he knows Lin is in a shallow sleep, and can be woken up easily. He thinks it'll be fun to see who Lin falls for.

Kenshiro smacks the ground, causing part of it to crack. He gets up and tells Kaioh he won't forgive him.

As he unleashes his fighting spiritual energy, Kaioh says this is just what he'd expected of the successor to the North Star divine fist -he's finally worth defeating!
