Synopsis
Toguro hits Yusuke again, but Yusuke is able to get up. It seems he is approaching Toguro's level of strength, as he says that his body isn't hurting now how it was before. He starts emitting spirit energy again, and it keeps changing color from blue to red. Toguro tells Yusuke that to become as strong as him, he must discard everything else. Yusuke says he can't do that, so Toguro threatens to kill another one of his friends. However, Yusuke stops him by grabbing his arm, and says he will beat him.
Toguro doubts he can do that, but then gets punched in the face. He is sent flying across the stadium, and bounces across the ground several times. As he gets back up, Yusuke says he'll put all of his power into this final spirit gun shot, and tells Toguro to come at him with everything he has. Toguro powers up further, his body transforming again. He says that this is 100% of 100%, whilst Yusuke thinks he doesn't care if he dies after this, just as long as he can put all of his power into this blast.
Yusuke fires, but Toguro initially stops the shot with one hand. However it's too much for even him to take, forcing him to use both hands, putting a tremendous amount of strain on his body. He eventually manages to grab the blast and crush it, leaving him smoldering, but alive. Yusuke sees this, and then collapses.
However, Toguro's body cracks, as he realizes this is what happens when he goes beyond 100%. His 100% form shatters, and he falls down. He thinks that when Yusuke is fighting for someone else, he can put out 120% of his power... that is what his strength is. Juri takes a look at Toguro, and realizes he is dead. She also sees that Yusuke is back up. Koto comes over, and she and Juri declare that Yusuke is the victor.
-Right before Toguro shatters, the manga has reaction shots for several characters who aren't present in the anime: Suzuki, En, Bui, Ryo and Kai.
-Sakyo has no reaction shot to Toguro shattering, this is something only the anime has.
-In the manga, Juri is the first to notice that Yusuke is standing. The anime changes this to Koto noticing first.
-The next episode preview segment rather stupidly has a massive spoiler in it: this shot and this shot, which show that Kuwabara isn't dead. The English dub makes fun of this, with Koenma warning viewers there's an incoming spoiler before the second shot is shown.
