It is the final round of the Dark Tournament. Yusuke and the others are ahead, with two wins and one loss. At Sakyo's proposal, and at the risk of his own life, whoever wins the team captain battle between Yusuke and Toguro will be declared the champion. The confrontation of destiny -the final battle between Yusuke and Toguro -is about to begin!

The Tempestuous Battle of Captains Commences

Koto comments that the end is upon them -this is the championship match, and everything will be decided by the team captains. It's Toguro versus Urameshi. Jorge says his heart is starting to pound.

Toguro removes his jacket and tosses it aside. Botan tells the others it's almost time, this is where everything will be decided. Kuwabara tells Urameshi that if he loses, he'll have to answer to him.

In one of the stands, Toya, Chu, Jin and Rinku finally arrive. Rinku sees they've made it in time, and Jin says they shouldn't have put Chu in charge of their tickets. Chu apologizes for drinking so much earlier, as he made them all late. He thinks it's good timing though, since they've arrived just as the final match is about to start. As they head down to their seats, some of the other demons notice them, surprised that they've come here.

Juri says for the final match to start. Toguro decides to test Yusuke out first, and says he'll go to 80% power. He begins to power up.

He reaches 80%, and his aura causes some demon spectators to dissolve.

Hiei says the weaker demons are being killed just from the demon energy Toguro is emitting. Koenma tells his team to stay behind him, as he can at least raise a barrier to protect them all. Yukina realizes her friends are in danger and tells them they must leave here quickly.

But she sees that Puu is creating a barrier, protecting them all. As Yusuke stares at Toguro, he thinks how surprisingly calm he's feeling. He's heard that when you suffer a really horrible injury, you stop feeling pain, and now he wonders if it's the same when feeling fear. Yusuke charges forward...

...and jumps up, to deliver a punch right into Toguro's stomach. Toguro counters with an uppercut.

Yusuke is sent back, but he immediately recovers and rushes forward again. He goes to punch Toguro, but Toguro uses his amazing speed to get out of the way, and get behind him. He goes to punch Yusuke, but Yusuke dodges it and kicks him in the face.

Toguro's punch hits part of the ring, breaking it up. Toguro swipes his hand back, which results in more of the ring being torn up. Yusuke jumps up...

...and breaks some pieces in his way. Toguro then charges towards him, but he stands his ground. Kuwabara thinks he's being an idiot -he shouldn't be trying to take Toguro's punch head-on!

Toguro throws a punch, but stops his fist at the last moment. He tells Yusuke to excuse him, as it wouldn't be fair for him to attack at this angle.

Yusuke tells him he didn't know he was so chivalrous. Behind him, Keiko and the others can be seen. Koto asks if everyone saw that, whilst Hiei knows that both fighters still haven't started using their full power yet. They're still just checking each other out, determining each other's power. He wishes he hadn't let Yusuke take this fight now.

Toya thinks that assuming Toguro is only using around 30% of his abilities, he thinks Yusuke is using around 60% of his. Jin knows Yusuke still has his spirit gun, if he uses that, he can intensify his energy, and put out a force many times greater. Chu says the question now is how much has Yusuke's spiritual power risen in the last few days? Toguro tells Yusuke to show him the power that Genkai gave him.

Yusuke prepares to use his spirit gun. Koto comments that the match has now reversed itself from the lightning-fast exchange that just happened, as now both contestants are just staring each other down. But Yusuke is now concentrating his energy into his right hand. Toguro tells Yusuke he wants to look at that power Genkai gave him.

Kuwabara asks if Urameshi got something from Genkai, and Koenma explains that as Genkai realized the time of her death was near, she passed her power to Yusuke before she perished. Kurama thinks Yusuke must have received an immeasurable power from Genkai, whilst Hiei says this will be something to see. Yusuke continues to charge his spirit gun, and wants Genkai to watch this.

He takes aim, but he doesn't fire. Instead, he runs straight towards Toguro. He thinks that he has enough power for four spirit gun shots, so he can't miss with any of them. Toguro realizes Yusuke is trying to close the gap between them and wait for an opening.

Yusuke punches Toguro a few times, to no effect. Toguro counters with a punch which Yusuke dodges, resulting in more of the ring being destroyed. As Toguro does another move, Yusuke avoids it as well, and then leaps right at him.

He kicks Toguro in the face, but again, it does nothing. Toguro says he's going to start getting a little stronger, and goes to punch Yusuke. Yusuke again avoids it, and Toguro's fist hits the ring with such force that it completely destroys it.

Debris is sent everywhere, and Toguro jumps up. He wants Yusuke to shoot him, having given him some cover. He then sees Yusuke aiming at him, ready to fire his spirit gun.

Yusuke fires a huge blast, which hits Toguro and pushes him way back. He crashes through the stadium, and gets sent right through the forest outside.

Koto comments that Toguro caught every last bit of that attack, and the force of that spirit gun was incomparable to the previous ones. Juri pulls herself out of some rubble, wondering where she is and who she is. Kuwabara tells her to hurry and start the count, as Toguro has been blow out of the stadium, let alone the ring.

Hiei points out that Yusuke is also out of the ring -mainly because the ring itself no longer exists. Kurama says ring outs no longer mean anything in this fight, and Hiei says it's kill or be killed. Rinku and Jin are amazed by how powerful that spirit gun was, whilst Chu knows if Yusuke had used that kind of power whilst fighting him, it would have finished him in one shot! They all wonder what kind of training he went through. Hiei and Kurama say that Toguro took that head-on, but if he comes out unscathed after that... they watch as Yusuke looks at the hole in the stadium Toguro was forced through.

Some distance away, Toguro gets up. He walks back to the stadium, but other than his pants getting ripped and his sunglasses breaking, he's fine.

He asks Yusuke if that's all there is to his power. Kuwabara falls over and says Toguro is a monster, as he doesn't even have a scratch on him! Koto comments that Toguro has come back, and is without his sunglasses, meaning this is the first time he's shown his face. He has terrible power.

Toguro unleashes more demon energy, and uses it to push Yusuke back. Yusuke creates a barrier of spirit energy, but it's still not enough to stop Toguro from breaking through it. Yusuke thinks that even with Toguro at 80%, there is still this much difference between their power.

Toguro calls himself a fool for expecting too much from his opponent. He doesn't consider Yusuke worth fighting at 100%, and says he'll settle this the way he is now: at 80%.

Even hitting Toguro with the power he had received from Genkai, Yusuke was unable to do any damage to him. Will he be done in like this? Or does Yusuke have some kind of secret plan? The final battle continues...

What?! That Toguro bastard took Urameshi's spirit gun square-on, and he wasn't fazed at all?! His power is still at 80%, and yet their powers are still so divided?
