Synopsis
Elder Toguro transforms his arm into a blade, and goes to decapitate Kuwabara. But before he can do it, Kuwabara uses his regular spirit sword to reach the sword of trials. He turns it on and slices Toguro to pieces, but Toguro once again starts pulling himself back together. Kuwabara picks up the sword of trials, and reveals he's able to control and change its form. He changes it so he's able to hit Toguro's entire body with one attack, which destroys him.
Kuwabara is declared the victor, but isn't happy that Urameshi didn't tell him about Genkai. Yusuke explains that he couldn't bring himself to admit Genkai was dead, as he still held onto the hope she would suddenly come back again. As Yusuke walks towards the ring, Kuwabara tells him to win. But before the next match can start, Sakyo declares a wager: he will stake his life on Toguro's victory. As he is lacking skills as a martial artist, he won't be able to give the spectators what they want to see. So if Toguro wins, it'll be worth two points. Koenma agrees to this, and says he will stake his life on Yusuke's victory.
There is a short recess before the fight starts, as Sakyo tells Toguro about his youth. Sakyo was different than his siblings, and he was dissecting animals at a young age. This soon turned to him dissecting humans, but he grew bored of it. Gambling became his passion, and he rose his way in the underworld to where he is now. He believes Toguro will win this fight, although Toguro says he's only fighting for himself. Shortly after this, the fight is about to start. But before Juri can let Yusuke and Toguro begin, the elder Toguro reveals he has survived, having had to take more time than usual to pull himself back together. He mocks Yusuke over Genkai's death, and then asks his brother what kind of weapon he wants him to be.
However, younger Toguro finds him an annoyance, and kicks him. He tries to counterattack, but gets obliterated with a single punch. Younger Toguro tells Yusuke this fight will be one on one, and the final match of the Dark Tournament is about to begin.
