Synopsis
Now in his demon pheasant form, Kuro Momotaro seems to be even faster than Hiei, and can't by harmed by any of his techniques. After landing several hits, he decides not to hold back, and uses a third dumpling to transform himself into his demon dog form.
He attacks and seems to bite down into Hiei, causing blood to go everywhere. However, Hiei uses a piece of his broken sword as as weapon, using a technique to summon the black dragon through the sword piece itself. He used this to slice Momotaro up and kill him before he would have ever known what happened. Elsewhere, Botan is leading the others to the stadium, but gets them lost. Shizuru suggests they go back to the hotel for now.
Back at the stadium, the next fight has Kurama against Ura Urashima. When the fight starts, Urashima talks to Kurama via telepathy, and asks him to kill him, as he doesn't want to go along with the way his teammates think. Kurama says he will not kill him, but it turns out to all be a ruse anyway -Urashima slices Kurama up the moment he gets the chance. He then pulls out his item of darkness: the reverse treasure box. In his story, the treasure box makes you older, but his box does the opposite. He intends to turn Kurama into a baby, and then kill him.
Whilst the two had been fighting, Urashima used his line to create a periphery realm around the ring. He opens the box and smoke pours out of it, but it stays within the realm, so nobody outside can tell what's going on. At first, Urashima's plan seems to be working -Kurama's demon energy is getting weaker. But he soon realizes something is wrong, as he can then sense a hugely powerful demon energy coming from somewhere. It's revealed that the box has transformed Kurama back to his original form of a fox demon, and he appears before Urashima. He tells him it's time for his punishment, as his offense of angering him is a great one.
-When Kuro Momotaro attacks in his demon pheasant form, he lands several hits on Hiei in the anime, in the manga he doesn't attack as much.
-The dialogue Shishiwakamaru and Onji have in the anime about Momotaro being able to kill Hiei right now was originally dialogue Momotaro himself had.
-In the manga, Toguro and Karasu are watching the fight, and wonder where Urameshi is. This isn't in the anime.
-In the manga, when Kurama starts to age back, some images of other people from his life appear. One image has him, Hiei and Gouki
in it, another shows him decapitating a demon, and there is another image showing Maya. None of these images appear in the anime.
-The scenes with Botan and the others trying to find the stadium wasn't in the manga, nor are any scenes with Koenma and Jorge. The scenes with Genkai and Yusuke in this episode aren't in the manga either.
