Synopsis
Yusuke starts his counterattack, and whilst Suzaku again blocks his barrage of punches with just one arm, eventually Yusuke hits his left hand, causing him to drop the bug flute. Suzaku is able to retrieve it before Yusuke can get it. At the school, Keiko and Botan enter one of the classrooms and lock the door, but Iwamoto and several others start trying to break in. Back at the castle, Suzaku performs a technique that creates six duplicate of himself: ankoku yorojin (dark demon cage formation). He explains these are exact copies of himself, and aren't illusions or after-images.
The Suzakus then perform the ringoku ankoku raukou ha (six hells dark lightning light wave). Yusuke is able to dodge or destroy most of the projectiles, but one of them hits him, taking him down. Suzaku has his clones hold Yusuke down and zap him constantly, all whilst he gets to watch Keiko's demise.
Yusuke watches as Iwamoto and the others break into the room, and start destroying a locker, believing that Keiko and Botan are inside. Elsewhere in the castle, Kuwabara and the others defeat the cultivated humans, and run into the tower, only to find more enemies waiting for them inside. Back at the school, it's revealed Keiko and Botan were actually hiding behind a curtain, and the pair take down their pursuers before running off.
Yusuke hears Genkai's voice, and thinks back to the training he did with her. She had told him that he must get to and then exceed his limits. Back in the present, Yusuke explodes with spirit energy, knocking down all of the Suzakus. Suzaku is amazed that Yusuke was able to release more spirit energy than ever before, whilst Yusuke tells him one thing: fight him.
-Yusuke doesn't charge Suzaku into a wall like he does in the anime.
-In the manga, Keiko's arm bleeds due to Iwamoto cutting her. The anime doesn't show any blood.
-The scenes with Koenma and Jorge weren't in the manga.
-The scene with Suzaku telling Yusuke that he doesn't have time to be indulging in sentimentality wasn't in the manga.
-Suzaku is seen with a wine glass, which he crushes when he realizes Keiko has escaped. In the anime he doesn't do this.
-In the manga, Kuwabara and the others don't defeat the cultivated humans until later on, the anime moved this forward a bit.
-During Yusuke's flashback, Genkai is also seen balancing on top of a spike, but in the episode she's not seen doing this.
-The anime had Yusuke think about his mother along with everyone else, but in the manga she's not seen.
-There are a couple of times where Yusuke has his shoes back on, even though they were destroyed in the previous episode.
