Synopsis
As the next fights commence, Suzuki loses against his opponent, whilst Hokushin defeats Shishiwakamaru. Jin fights Souketsu, one of Raizen's old sparring friends. Despite using his wind taming techniques, Jin is outmatched by Souketsu, who reveals he can also fly. Mukuro tells Hiei that his friend appears to be having a difficult time of it. Hiei says he wouldn't call him a friend -here, as long as he's got to fight them, he considers everyone his enemy. Mukuro asks if that's right, and after looking at Kurama, asks Hiei if that goes for whoever he's fighting. Hiei says it does.
Jin manages to hit Souketsu with a powered up whirlwind fist attack, but Souketsu comes right back and punches him repeatedly. Jin is still able to stand, and wants to go on fighting -he says he won't lose here, as he wants to fight Yusuke. Souketsu is impressed with his stamina, and says he reminds him of himself, when he used to fight Raizen. He goes at Jin with his full power, and Jin gets battered around. Jin is still able to get up and says he wants to go on, but passes out whilst still standing. Souketsu stops fighting, and is declared the winner of the match.
The next match has Toya against Kujou. As Chu and Rinku watch, Natsume comes over. Chu is relieved to hear that Kujou is her brother, not her lover. Kurama and Yusuke are also watching, and Kurama tells Yusuke that Toya is doing well. Yusuke says he's impressed that Toya has trained as much as he has.
Toya uses his ice technique to assist him, but they still aren't enough. He and Kujou continue to fight, but eventually Kujou overwhelms him. As the ice he created starts to melt away, Kujou picks him up and takes him over to dry land.
As Toya and Kujou leave each other on good terms, Mukuro says if there are more fights like that one, the Demon Realm is going to change. Kurama tells Yusuke he'll see him around, as his fight is up next. Yusuke tells Kurama not to lose. Kurama tells him not to lose either, as he'll have to fight Yomi soon, who is very powerful. Yusuke says he can handle it -the stronger his opponent, the hotter he burns. Kurama says that's just like him, and walks off. He thinks that not all fights are going to be so invigorating, and guesses the real thing starts now.
-The events of this episode are not shown in the manga. Jin and the others do lose their fights in the manga, but the manga doesn't actually show any of them fighting.
