Synopsis
In the Demon Realm, Kurama says he will bring Yomi six fighters, who will each have over 100,000 points worth of spectral power. He returns to the Human Realm, where he is met by his new brother, Shuichi Hatanaka. However, his brother has been taken over by a demon parasite called Kara, who relays Kurama information. Kara was also working for Shachi, but has switched to Kurama's side. Kara reports on how much stronger Hiei has gotten, and asks Kurama how his plan is coming along. Kurama says the six fighters currently each have spectral power ratings clearing 50,000 points. Kurama later goes to Genkai's place, where the fighters are being trained. He meets with Koenma, who asks him what his plans are -does he intend to become a third power, once Raizen dies? Kurama tells him it depends on what move Yusuke makes.
The six fighters are finally revealed: Toya, Jin, Rinku, Shishiwakamaru, Suzuki and Chu. They're all ready to train harder to get to the 100,000 points mark, and continue to train with Genkai. Some time later, the group are taken to Yomi, where Yuda reads their power levels. He confirms that each of them is over 100,000 points, so Yomi rewards Kurama by making him his second military chancellor, and he will command these six. Shachi objects, but is put in his place by both Yomi and Yuda.
Later on, Shachi follows Kurama, and after seeing that his power level ranks at less than 10,000, attempts to assassinate him. Kurama avoids his attacks, and after briefly turning into his demon fox form, kills him. As Kurama tells him not to ever play your trump card first, Yomi, who is listening in on the battle, says if you do play your trump card, you need to have something else up your sleeve. At that moment, Kurama became Yomi's military chancellor. As Kurama predicted, the number two man in Yomi's nation has changed.
-The opening scene in this episode is not in the manga. The manga starts from the scene in Kurama's school.
-The scene where Kurama and his family are at a restaurant is not in the manga.
-Some of the training scenes in the anime -like Chu walking on the rope, and Rinku using his yo-yos -are not in the manga.
-In the anime, Yuda berates Shachi for underachieving. In the manga, he doesn't say anything to him.
-In the manga, the moment Shachi charges, Kurama turns into his demon fox form, and kills Shachi instantly. In the anime, Shachi makes several attacks, which Kurama avoids.
-Shachi's death is more violent in the manga, as he gets split into several pieces.
