Synopsis
The Autobots help the NYPD bust some car thieves. Optimus Prime sends out some Autobots to try and find the Decepticons, who have been laying low. Tracks heads out on his own and gets held up by some more thieves, but he drives off. As he does he gets one of his tires shot, causing him to crash and prevent him from transforming. He is found by Raoul, who has promised a gang he'd provide them a car by midnight. Deciding that the wrecked Tracks is his, he starts making repairs. But he gets a surprise when Tracks starts talking to him. Raoul makes the necessary repairs to Tracks.
Later on, the Geddis brothers arrive and intend to harm Raoul for not having a car for them, but Tracks then transforms. The Gedddis brothers get into a car and make their getaway, and whilst Tracks and Raoul chase after them, they eventually lose them. Meanwhile, Powerglide and Cosmos find Starscream, but he's able to lose them in a shopping mall. Tracks and Raoul find where all the stolen cars have been taken -to a Decepticon manufacturing plant, where the Constructions are converting them into Transformers.
The two are seen by the Decepticons and have to retreat. The Decepticons then unleash their new weapons on New York, as the transforming cars begin their attack. The Autobots head out to stop them, and find out that these Transformers are just mindless drones. Blaster is able to use frequency waves to deactivate many of them. The Autobots face a large army of these drones, but they destroy lots of them.
The Autobots then go to the Decepticon's base, where they fight more of the drones. Raoul attempts to smash up a computer, but is captured by Megatron. However, uses a can of spray paint to disable Megatron, causing the Decepticons to retreat. Tracks then shoots at the base, causing it to explode. Later on, the Autobots take many of the converted cars back to Sparkplug's garage, so they can start changing them back to regular cars. Raoul tries to leave, but Tracks stops him and puts him in front of one of the cars. Raoul says one things for sure: he'll never steal a car again -Tracks is more trouble than he's worth! Tracks says he saved his life, but Raoul says he saved Tracks' life twice. Tracks tells him to pipe down, and pass him that socket wrench...
-Sparkplug has his own garage in New York City, which also serves as a secret base for the Autobots. So it seems he's got himself a new job after leaving the oil rig early on in the first season.
-There are lots of signs in this episode's street scenes, but there's one very obvious one that advertises a Transformers movie:
The real movie would have been in production at this point, but wouldn't be released until August 1986, whilst this episode originally aired in October 1985.
-The second laser shot Starscream fires at Powerglide and Cosmos is colored Autobot yellow instead of Decepticon pink.
-During this shot, Sideswipe is colored like Soundwave.
-When Prime tells everyone to roll out, Tracks is supposed to move in front of him, but is layered to move under him, making him look huge.
-When Ratchet and Blaster start firing, their laser blasts are misaligned with their gun barrels.
-When the Decepticon cars start transforming, the hood for one of them changes colors from yellow to green.
-Bumblebee is colored like Cliffjumper during this shot.
-Also, during the same shot, Tracks and Sideswipe seem to be wielding black spheres rather than guns.
-Ironhide and Huffer are shown firing pink lasers instead of yellow during this shot.
