Synopsis

Ryu, a young martial artists who lives in Japan, receives a letter from his friend Ken, asking him to come to America. Ryu heads off to America, and Ken takes him back to his gigantic home. Ryu finds out that Ken has won some tournaments, but Ken says the guys he's gone up against weren't any real competition -unlike Ryu. Ken then shows Ryu something he's had constructed: an exact replica of the dojo they used to train in.

Ryu later meets Ken's parents, and then Ken decides to take Ryu out to see his San Francisco after dark. As they ride through the streets on a bike, some air force guys overtake them, and insult them. Ken decides to follow them to the Mount Fuji Pub, and he and Ryu are able to enter by bribing the bouncer. Ken manages asks for a word with one of the ladies, and manages to get her to follow him over to the bar.

Things quickly escalate when the air force guys get angry, and confront Ryu and Ken. A fight starts, but Ken and Ryu are able to easily defeat everyone. As they head back to the bar, someone opens the door...

Notes

-For the Japanese version of Street Fighter II V, the intro sequence features the song "Kaze Fuiteru" ("The Wind Blows"), by Yuki Kuroda. This song is used for the first 19 episodes. The Manga dub doesn't use it, and instead features an untitled instrumental theme by Mike Egan. For the UK ADV dub, the original Japanese song is used.

-Somabito is never actually named, in either the Japanese or English dub. Thanks to vasili10 for providing his name.

-Ken throws a bottle of water over to Ryu. The label on the bottle reads "avian", which is a parody of evian.

-Ken's dog is not named in the Japanese dub, but for the English dub gives him a name: Attila.

-During this shot, you can see a Coca-Cola logo in the background, above the door.

-The credit music for the Japanese version features the song "Cry", also by Yuki Kuroda. This song is used for the first 19 episodes. Again, the Manga dub doesn't use it, and instead uses a new theme which sounds similar to the intro theme. The ADV dub uses the original Japanese version song.

-The end credits also feature a much clearer Coca-Cola logo at one point.
