At some temples, the Huitzil have gathered together. The level of the life form they have been tracking has passed safety parameters, and solely exists to increase its destructive energies. Some of the temples then burst open.

Objects appear out of the temples, which form together to create a giant Huitzil. The Huitzil say the life forms are amassing negative energies, and until it begins to produce positive energies, they'll continue to exterminate them all. The will to fight is deeply rooted into the lifeforms of this planet, and their evolution has once again been a failure. Therefore, all lifeforms are to be exterminated!

Meanwhile, Pyron is also on the move. He travels around the world, seeking out the strong. He finds his first opponent in the form of Anakaris, an ancient mummy. Anakaris attacks him...

...but he destroys his attack. He then throws a fireball at him, and sets him on fire.

Pyron's next opponent is Rikuo, a merman. After briefly testing his abilities, Pyron smashes Rikuo around and then hits the floor, causing a colossal explosion.

Sasquatch is Pyron's next challenge. Sasquatch kicks Pyron, and then uses a move which freezes him. As he fights, Pyron thinks that he, who's body was created in space, has eventually become this: a being of psychic energy ambition.

Sasquatch shatters the ice, but Pyron survives, and surrounds Sasquatch. He lifts him up into the air and then slams him into the ice, cracking it wide open. Pyron thinks his body, which shines so brightly, can now melt the heavens, and is capable of vaporizing an entire world in moments.

As Pyron battles with Victor, he thinks that he finds this Earth offers him something he'd long since forgotten: battle. One of Pyron's suns crashes through a castle.

Victor falls, and Pyron throws some fireballs at him. Pyron thinks that the blood sport of combat is practiced only by the lowest of sub creatures. Pyron says that battle will be the means of their destruction.

At Demitri's castle, Demitri's butler is pouring his master some tea when everything begins to shake. The castle's defenses start to open fire at one of Pyron's suns.

The sun returns fire, hitting the castle with a mighty blast. The butler says he'll leave the roughhousing to Demitri, and vanishes.

Demitri says it's impossible for his noble powers to see defeat for a second time. He leaves the castle, and sees Pyron leave the sun. He starts fighting him, and changes his form. He throws out several bat projectiles...

...that hit Pyron, but don't seem to do any damage. Pyron then goes on the offensive, until Demitri manages to stab into his chest. But Pyron just laughs it off.

He teleports them onto the roof of a building, and then slams Demitri a few times, before hitting him with a fireball. As Demitri stumbles, Pyron says that Huitzil told him that Demitri is the one they deemed strongest on this world -has he been led to expect too much? Demitri tells him that to underestimate the power of the Demon World is a mistake.

Demitri goes to punch him, but Pyron teleports out of the way. He tells him that his so-called power is barely sport to him, whilst his own power is the greatest in the universe! He then summons several small, glowing spheres, which chase after Demitri and surround him. They then all explode.

Pyron uses his cosmo disruptor technique again, and Demitri is sent hurtling into his own castle. The impact causes the ground to break apart, and the castle starts to fall.

Pyron asks if this was the best the Earth had to offer, as if it is then he is very disappointed. Many Huitzil then appear around Pyron. Pyron asks if they are certain if Demitri is the one they wanted destroyed. When he descended on this Earth, he learnt that his influence made the life forms evolve, but he also learnt that there were killer robots who would destroy them. This is why he waited in great expectation, so he could perhaps enjoy a victory greater than he'd experienced. There is a certain level of combat to be found here, but no one has been capable as of yet to satisfy him.

One of the Huitzil tells him that there is no need for life forms to fight, as peaceful cooperation creates natural balance. Pyron laughs, and says that the ones who have overseen the history of this world are blind to their own mistake. He says he is the real form of this world's future, so the battle shall continue, and only the strongest will ascend to greatness. As long as unnatural factors like the Huitzil exist, a true and proper ruler for this world can never be born. The Huitzil says that whenever the ideas of battle and war become prevalent, all life must be exterminated. The will to fight is not a prerogative of life, and this Earth has no need for a destroyer. The Huitzil then start attacking Pyron, and fire missiles at him. He jumps up to avoid them all.

He then teleports back down, and quickly destroys all of the Huitzil.

In the Demon World, a meeting is taking place, one which Morrigan is present for. They have just seen Demitri's defeat, and wonder what manner of creature has descended upon the Human World. They believe that Pyron's combat ability is far greater than anything they've ever seen until now. A discussion takes place, and an idea is put forward that Pyron is a power from outside the Demon World. The Darkstalkers in the Human World are being defeated, and eventually Pyron will find his way to the Demon World as well. The relatives of the Aensland family know that there is a power struggle in the Demon World between other families, but they suggest calling an alliance to deal with this threat. They propose to bring the families together to form a united front against Pyron.

One of the others says their needs are met under the guise of the great and powerful Aensland family's dictatorship. The Aensland family question what that's supposed to mean, but then someone else says they're but minor houses of petty nobility. In comparison to the great Aensland house, they have nothing to offer. They instead offer their encouragement for the Aensland family's success. They believe that Morrigan is the greatest warrior the Demon World has yet to produce, and beseech that she uses her strength in their defense.

The Aensland family realize the other families are trying to push everything onto Morrigan, and will betray her once she's helped them. They then receive news: enemy forces have surrounded their territory on all sides. They realize that the other families may plan an attack on them, so they've got to entrench themselves here. They wonder what to do, as they can't divert their own forces from here, as they can't lose their own balance of power. Morrigan suddenly summons a key, which will let her unlock a gate to the Human World.

She knows that they face a formidable enemy, and with the chance of a satisfying battle, it's all she's ever asked of the world. She asks the other families if they've wanted a chance to do battle, and also asks since when has the Demon World become so pathetic and weak? Even Demitri Maximoff has shown more courage. One of the other families calls her insolent, but then gets a spear placed next to his head. Morrigan asks to be allowed to go to the Human World, and she is allowed. The Aensland family asks the others to excuse their actions until Morrigan returns from the Human World, but they are to remain where they are.

They tell the other families that they will cooperate with them, but then the entire place starts shaking. Through two windows come two giant serpents, which attack Morrigan.

Morrigan's arm is grazed, but she changes outfits and then leads the serpents away.

Back in the Human World, some scientists have followed Pyron's suns. They believe that this town is the source of all of their troubles, and decide to burn it to the ground. It will purify the land. They deploy several small satellites, which start firing lasers. These lasers hit buildings and blow them apart.

Hsien-Ko and Mei-Ling see that the city is on fire. The satellites fire again, but their shots are stopped by several icy projectiles. Donovan has arrived, and the scientists believe his power was of the dark. The lead scientist looks at Donovan, and is surprised that was done by a man.

Hsien-Ko and Mei-Ling tell them to stop it, as there are still people who've yet to escape. The scientists say that the dark has taken a deep root here, and the only cure is to burn it away. The people of this land have had too much contact with those of the dark, and their bodies are tainted by its corruption. Weak humans are nothing but tools to the dark, and they fall victim to its power. It helps them take over human bodies, and taint the blood. So all humans who've had contact with the dark must be burned, as how else can they preserve their race? They prepare to fire again.

Hsien-Ko and Mei-Ling jump away, but the lead scientist notices that Donovan isn't running. If he's been corrupted by the dark, surely he will oppose them. If he's innocent of corruption, he will ask for their help. Donovan says he was born in union of human blood, and that of the dark. By destroying all that is dark within him, he begins to find meaning in his own existence. The lead scientist tells him if he were truly human, then he would refuse to go on living. He asks if they're supposed to pity those who are tainted, and sympathize with his destiny to battle the dark. He thinks maybe Donovan needs the justification, perhaps he can't live among others without making a show of battling the dark. Either way, the choice is his. As scientists, they are taught to accept only the facts they can verify with their own eyes. How else but through science can they accept this new evidence?

And now, a god has made contact with man. It is an undeniable sign that a new truth has been revealed to them: humans must hate the dark. This is the message their god gives them this day, and it is the only path they may follow. Hsien-Ko tells him that is not a god, the truth is right in front of them and they refuse to see it. The light isn't a god, it's a demon they've been chasing they don't know how long for. This demon toys with humans worse than any dark one ever did. As Mei-Ling pulls up in the car, Hsien-Ko asks Donovan if he's coming, as they've got better things to do with their time.

Donovan stays where he is, as the scientist says they'll burn this city to the ground, and think it's ironic that Donovan's kind can only exist in a land like it. There is meaning to Donovan's existence, but not as he imagines it. He must kill all that is dark, and then after that he must kill all the humans, only then will his truth be realized. As he has tainted blood, neither side will accept him, so why not kill them all? It is a harsh truth, but it is uniquely his. Donovan repeats his last line, and thinks it is a harsh truth that reflects his solitude. Hsien-Ko and Mei-Ling leave, but Hsien-Ko hopes Donovan finds a way to live his life.

Morrigan arrives on Earth, the serpents still following her. She kills them both and then lands in Demitri's fallen castle.

Heading deeper into the wreckage, she finds Demitri. As she kneels by him, he suddenly wakes up and bites into her. Morrigan doesn't resist as he sucks her blood for a few seconds. As he stops, Morrigan thinks it's strange, she never thought she could be attracted to anyone but a strong man... imagine helping the likes of him. Demitri tells her she must somehow sense that he is her future. He is the one who shall become the king of all of the Demon World.

Morrigan says it may be that Demitri is their salvation. The dark is stagnant, and only change can save them. They look out at a coliseum, and Morrigan says these humans have a will to fight without even a trace of pretense. At the coliseum, Hsien-Ko and Mei-Ling battle Pyron.

But their attacks can't get through to him, and even after Hsien-Ko uses her chireitou technique, Pyron smashes through it. The explosion is large enough to...

...hit Hsien-Ko, knocking her down. She asks Mei-Ling what they are going to do, as Pyron uses his cosmic disruptor technique again.

Mei-Ling moves Hsien-Ko out of the way in time, but Hsien-Ko tells her she's going to have to go on without her. Mei-Ling tells her not to be ridiculous, but they then see Anita walking towards Pyron.

Anita screams out Donovan's name. Donovan then appears, and starts fighting with Pyron. But Pyron isn't effected by anything he does.

Pyron leaps up and throws out a fireball. Donovan tries to block it, but it still knocks him back. Pyron calls him weak, and then starts hitting him, stabbing through his body.

As Donovan falls, he wonders what it is inside him that keeps him fighting, and why can't he stop? Hsien-Ko thinks there's something wrong with Donovan. Mei-Ling tells her no matter how Donovan fights against the dark, the darkness in his blood will never go away. So long as he has it, the humans will never accept him as one of them. His hatred of the dark will never be believed by them, not ever. It's his sad destiny -half his blood is of the cursed dark. His own ambivalence deprives him of what could be his strength.

Pyron continues to attack Donovan, but thinks this is enough -what sport can there be in such a pathetic opponent? He asks Donovan to please disappear from his sight, and then throws another fireball at him. It hits Donovan and sends him up the coliseum.

Donovan comes to a stop near the top of the coliseum. Just then, the giant Huitzil appears. He states he will exterminate everything, and return the status to zero. Pyron says that these life forms will produce a ruler, eventually. But he cannot understand how they can continue with so few evolutionary advances. He's yet to find such a back-sliding mud hole. Earth is boring, and in all his vast knowledge there has never been such a one. He wants the boring planet to begone, and plague him no more.

Huitzil says that of all the life forms to be exterminated on this planet, the one who must be disposed of first is Pyron. He moves into the stadium, but Pyron leaps up into the air and yells. Suddenly, the five suns around the town start to glow. The scientists are killed when the satellites they are in explode, due to the glowing suns.

These suns crash together around Pyron. This causes Pyron to increase in size greatly, and he is soon as big as his opponent. Huitzil says to prevent one such as Pyron from evolving, they must continue to exterminate all life forms on Earth.

Huitzil then attacks Pyron. As Pyron jumps up, Huitzil follows and attempts to use a barrier against his opponent. But Pyron shatters it, and then throws Huitzil to the floor.

As Huitzil gets up, Pyron hits him a few more times, knocking him down again. Huitzil hasn't been destroyed though and says there is no need for life forms to fight. Peaceful coexistence creates natural balance. All the life forms must do battle to be exterminated! Pyron asks why he enforces such a pathetic program, what need can there be to promote the theories of the weak? He tells Huitzil to begone. But Huitzil gets back up, and transforms his arms into magnets. This surprises Pyron, as Huitzil manages to grab him.

He jumps up with him and tells him to depart from the Earth. Soon the two are in space, but Pyron breaks free from Huitzil's group, severing his arms in the process. He then uses his cosmo disruptor technique again, which almost completely destroys Huitzil. He thinks "exterminate" is a program for which Huitzil is well-suited.

Huitzil says the body may be destroyed, but the program will continue, such is the will of the creator. Back on Earth, Huitzil's body parts are seen burning up in the atmosphere. Hsien-Ko, Mei-Ling and Anita get to where Donovan is, but it doesn't look good. Donovan thinks back...

Donovan meditates whilst sitting on some spears. An elder asks him why he was torturing himself so, isn't the world itself the source of enough pain? This place is a sanctuary, where those of the dark and humans may come to live. Whilst life here may not be easy, it is at least a place where they can be accepted for what they are, and not what others assume them to be.

Some children present also speak. They wonder why others assume they asked to be born like this. They live here because there's nowhere else they can live. The elder says the young ones speak the only truth they know, and as uncomfortable as their remarks may be for others to hear, at least their words are their own. He asks Donovan why he insists on this self torture, as in this valley there is already suffering enough for all. Donovan smashes one of his hands over a spear and says that humans run from the dark. Yet the people of this valley also run from humans, gathering here like refuse. Why must they hide themselves in the shadow of man, as if they're unclean? As he says that they too have a life to live, he hits his other hand over another spear.

The elder says this place is known as the Tainted Valley. The humans urge to rid themselves of those tainted by the dark, as though by hiding them, they no longer exist. To humans, this is the only way they can think of to protect themselves, by banishing them from their thoughts, hearts and memories. Donovan yells at him to speak his mind. He says that all of them in this valley wish to live among humans, yet the price is too high for those who accept the label of outcast -but why must they do so? He's not immune to desire, but that desire becomes anger, and that anger wants to destroy the dark and the humans, the ones who hate the blood that flows through him. Whatever course does he have but to torture himself -that, and to kill the humans!

The two children think Donovan is a murderer, and run off. Donovan asks what he should do with his anger. The elder tells him that his impulse to kill humans gives him grave doubts, which is the course of his self torture. He tells him that his will and doubt is the sign of a human heart. The elder's beads then start to glow, and leave him.

They head towards Donovan and destroy the spears he was sitting on. As Donovan lands, the beads surround him. The elder tells him his heart, and the feelings he has, are something he should come to love. Could he not come to peace with his own heart?

Back in the present, Morrigan and Demitri stand outside the castle ruins. Demitri says he will go forth once more, to take his proper place as ruler of the Demon World. Even the greatest of kings die, but he'll show them such a fight, even his enemies shall approve him. He asks Morrigan what's wrong, and she says she can feel it... to think there was such a will in the Human Word. She asks Demitri to let the humans fight this battle, as she can sense a will that must not lose. An innocent soul, just now born.

At the coliseum, Mei-Ling tells Donovan not to give up, but Hsien-Ko fears the worst. Anita stares at Donovan, and scoops up some of his blood. She tells Donovan not to go.

She screams out the same thing again, as she suddenly makes his blood glow. Something then happens, as Anita says that even if is is dark, it's Donovan's blood. It's not even a little dirty, his blood isn't dirty and neither is his soul!

Suddenly there are a lot of swirling lights, which all enter into Donovan himself. Donovan is revived. Hsien-Ko and Mei-Ling see that all of his wounds have been healed, and Mei-Ling says this was all done by Anita's power.

Donovan says that to hate yourself or to feel love... thoroughly, and with true humility... then, and only then, can one love others as well. He summons his sword, and after a large energy discharge, Anita and the others watch as Donovan uses his sword to head up high into the air.

Pyron, still in space, wonders why he, the ruler of the universe, must be bothered by this pathetic planet. Why did he do such a foolish thing? Donovan appears, riding on his sword. He says that foolishness comes from within yourself. And the only true battle is with yourself. To search for justification within others is the act of a fool. Whilst his own soul is often in doubt, it holds his salvation. The first and only enemy is the one from within! He then summons a spirit, which surrounds him.

Pyron thinks about his words but says that are nonsense, what is he talking about?! Donovan collides into Pyron, and goes straight through him.

Pyron wonders what this thing is, and how he, who knows all, cannot understand. He continues to question what Donovan was talking about, but he begins to die. Donovan tells him it is the universe, the one inside the self that is forever beyond him.

Pyron explodes into nothing. Donovan watches the explosion die out and says that the path he follows may lead him into the labyrinth of the dark. But he does not fear it, and the Earth gives him his strength, and the sun comforts him with its warm embrace. He has learnt to love his own heart, as how can he do otherwise. And with that comes love for Anita.

Anita looks up to the sky, and smiles. Donovan says that, graced by the tender warmth of her smile, he will go on and search for a truth uniquely his.

Having seen everything, the Huitzil in space decides for their orders to destroy all lifeforms to be withdrawn until further notice. Additional data is needed before the program can resume, such as more information on Earth's evolutionary status. The extinction of all targets has been stopped, pending further assessment...
