Synopsis

Natsuki is at her karate club, when someone staggers in and reveals that Rina has been kidnapped! Natsuki rushes outside and tries to find her, but then hears her scream. She finds that Rina has been defeated by someone called Akira Kandori. Akira says she's from the Jotoh Academy, and seems to know of Natsuki. Natsuki fights Akira, but is unable to do any real damage to her. She attempts to knee her in the face, only for Akira to stop her strike.

Akira defeats Natsuki by using her mountain storm technique, which is a powerful throw. However, Natsuki jumps as she does the move, resulting in the damage being halved. Akira decides to finish off Natsuki now, but stops when Yanagisawa appears. He takes Natsuki and Rina back to his place, and Natsuki sees a picture of him, which also happens to have Akira in it. Yanagisawa reveals the two of them used to go to the same martial arts school together, but Akira ended up going to Jotoh Academy, whilst he went to Natsuki's school: Goujyu High.

Natsuki's loss to Akira puts her in a slump, which is proven when she loses a fight to Hondou. He wants a date like she promised, but Yanagisawa suggests they all have fun together. Natsuki starts training with them to find a way to overcome Akira's mountain storm, and also create a special technique of her own. At Jotoh Academy, Akira gets chewed out for failing to deal with Rina, but Himuro believes there's someone else she wants to beat. He gives her two days to do as she likes, so she begins training.

As Natsuki and Yanagisawa return home, Yanagisawa asks Natsuki what's wrong. She asks him why he didn't go to Jotoh Academy with Akira. He says that he questioned why he wanted to become the strongest, and if it was to accomplish the art of killing. He'd lost the reason why he'd studied martial arts, whilst Akira was tempted by the demon of power. It was Natsuki who taught him her own technique: "defeat your opponents, but keep them safe". They then hear a group of people heading their way, and hide. They realize it's Daigou, along with several masked fighters, who head to Rina's place. Daigou intends to get revenge on the sleeping Rina for what happened at their last fight, but Natsuki and Yanagisawa arrive just in time.

Daigou manages to escape, so Natsuki chases after him. She corners him, only for him to pull out a sword. He tries to slice her up and traps her next to a wall, but before he can kill her, Yanagisawa jumps down and seemingly gets stabbed. The sight of this enrages Natsuki, who creates energy in the palm of her hand and blasts Daigou with it. He gets sent flying into the water, whilst it's revealed that Yanagisawa wasn't stabbed, his arm just got cut.

At Jotoh Academy, Akira is challenged by Satake, who claims his kick can break 5 baseball bats, and is even stronger when he's wearing these leg guards. Akira lets him kick her, and his leg guard shatters when it connects. Akira says that with her trained muscle and breathing techniques, her body can become stronger than steel. She and several men head to Goujyu High, but Rina sees them and challenges Akira herself. Natsuki finds out about what's happened, and runs outside just in time to see Rina being defeated by Akira's mountain storm technique.

Yanagisawa is about to intervene, but Natsuki asks if she can fight. The battle begins, but even Natsuki's kicks can't seem to hurt Akira, thanks to her breathing techniques. Natsuki gets thrown back into the school, and the fight continues in there.

Eventually the two get to the school's roof, and Natsuki gets knocked down. She gets back up and screams Akira's name, but Yanagisawa appears, and tells her to put away her anger. He reminds her to use her own style, as martial arts are not meant for killing. Akira thinks she's talking nonsense, but Yanagisawa tells her that if she'd come to Goujyu High, she would understand. He wanted the two of them to learn together, and be with her. She thinks he's lying, and thinks it's Natsuki who's changed him. She says she won't forgive Natsuki, and attempts to use the mountain storm on her, but Natsuki does a flip as she does the move, and lands on her feet.

She hits and defeats Akira with her new technique, blasting her off the roof and causing her to crash into another building. She and Yanagisawa head back down, and fear the worst for Rina -Natsuki checks on her, but she doesn't seem responsive. She says they'd just become friends, and starts crying. Rina opens her eyes, and asks what's up? Everyone is surprised at this, and Natsuki drops Rina in shock when she realizes her friend is still alive! Rina hits her head and thinks it was only them who thought she'd died. Rina finds out Natsuki defeated Akira, and Natsuki jokes that she was defeated because she's a wimp. Rina tells her not to think she's the strongest just because she got lucky. Natsuki claims it was pure skill, so Rina suggests they have a rematch!
