A woman called Akira arrives in town. At the karate club, Natsuki goes through some moves, and then tells some of the others to begin training by themselves.

She looks for Yanagisawa, but he's not there. She asks where he is, and is told that he'll be late due to him doing work for the student association. Just then, someone walks in, but immediately collapses. Natsuki tells him to hang on, but he tells her that Rina has been kidnapped!

Kisumi Natsuki
VS
Kandori Akira

Natsuki runs out of the school, and calls out to Rina. She hears Rina scream and rushes to the source of the sound, only to find that Rina has been defeated by Akira. Akira briefly looks at Natsuki, but then looks back at Rina.

She starts stomping down on her, prompting Natsuki to charge forward. As she gets close, Akira does a very fast kick, which Natsuki just about avoids.

She counters with her own kick, which knocks Akira's hat off and cuts her face. Akira tells Natsuki she's the first person who's drawn blood from her in a long time. She wants to know her name, so Natsuki introduces herself. Akira seems to know of her already, saying that the rumors seem to be true. She then states her own name, and says she's from the Jotoh Academy. She challenges Natsuki, but Natsuki says there's no reason to fight. Akira thinks she must want to save Takaoka...

...so she stomps on her head. She tells Natsuki she must accept her challenge. Natsuki stands where she is, so Akira charges towards her. She and Natsuki trade punches and kicks...

...until she manages to kick Natsuki into a tree. Natsuki gets up and resumes fighting, but Akira blocks everything. But she manages to dodge one of Akira's punches...

...and grabs her by the head, before trying to knee her in the face. But Akira stops her knee before it can connect, then throws her back down. She asks her if that's the best she can do.

She thinks Natsuki must be a disappointment to him -Yanagisawa is a most capable athlete, yet she's a disgrace. Natsuki tries to punch her, only for Akira to grab her arm. She then performs her greatest technique: the mountain storm!

Natsuki gets thrown to the floor, but Akira is annoyed -she realized that Natsuki jumped before she began the move, cutting the damage in half. The fact she was able to hurt her, and the way she was able to adapt to unknown techniques... she can't let her get away. She's about to finish her off, but then someone calls out to her, telling her to stop.

Yanagisawa has appeared, causing Akira to drop Natsuki and back off. He walks towards them.

Later on, he takes Natsuki and Rina back to his place, and patches them up. As he goes off to make some coffee, Natsuki laments that she's finally in Yanagisawa's room, but she must look terrible! She then notices a photograph on the wall, and takes a look at it.

The photo has Yanagisawa on it, but it also has Akira! Yanagisawa says that Kandori Akira won the women's judo championship two years ago. Natsuki recalls that Akira became the champion whilst she was still in the 9th grade. Rina says that by sending a monster like Akira, it implies that the Jotoh Academy is serious about punishing her. Ever since Akira enrolled in the academy, she stopped participating in the championships.

Natsuki asks why, and Rina says that Akira was enslaved by the "demon" of Jotoh... the demon called invincibility. She recalls that Yanagisawa was a member of the Shinto Institute. Natsuki asks what that is, and Rina says it's a general martial arts school. Yanagisawa and Kandori were considered the best of the place.

Natsuki realizes that's why things played out earlier, and thinks back. Yanagisawa tells Akira that she's changed, but she claims he was the one who had. He had an unparalleled fighting style which made everyone tremble, and had an eagerness to be the strongest. But now, he's not the same person she once knew. She asks why he gave up winning, and why he didn't come to Jotoh Academy -why did he leave her?

Yanagisawa ignores her, and goes up to Rina. Akira says that's fine, but warns him that he'll see his choice is wrong when he sees his student suffering. Yanagisawa says Natsuki has nothing to do with that, but Akira says she doesn't care. Her goal is to become the best of the best, and she'll crush anyone who interferes!

Back in the present, Natsuki gets knocked down by Hondou, which surprises even him. He says he's done it, he scored a full point!

He claims Natsuki had said they'd go out if he won, but she says she can't do that right now. He thinks she can't do this, she'd promised before the match! As he starts ranting about how much effort he put into that fight, someone tells him to cut it out -he set this match up just because he knew Natsuki was in a slump. Natsuki thinks about how martial arts arts aren't for killing people, but wonders what to do if Akira appears again.

Yanagisawa asks if she's free tomorrow, but Hondou then tells him not to cut in line -he's first! Yanagisawa suggests that they could all have fun together. The next day, the three meet up in a park, but Hondou thinks this is going to be a sweaty date.

Yanagisawa tells him he doesn't have to do this if he doesn't want to, but he says he does, as he's worried about what might happen if he leaves the two of them alone. Yanagisawa goes through Akira's mountain storm, slowly doing the move on Hondou. It has her grab the opponent's arm first, then get through the arm quickly, so the opponent can't escape.

Then, you lift up with your hip and leg whilst bending the arm, and crash them into the ground. He tells Natsuki to think -every special technique must have its weak point. She must find the answer herself. Hondou thinks this is such a TV like idea. Even if she could overcome the special technique, it doesn't mean she could win. She needs her own special technique, but Natsuki thinks that's also a very TV like idea.

Yanagisawa says Hondou is right, she needs to create a winning technique to defeat Kandori -she needs to create the "Natsuki special". Training begins, as Natsuki learns how to deal with the mountain storm, whilst also trying to create something to counter it.

At Jotoh Academy, Akira gets chewed out for stopping before finishing off Rina. Himuro says it's not like her, and asks if something else was on her mind. He says it's alright, and then says they'll handle Rina's case, so she can do what she wants -but she only has two days.

Akira turns around and leaves. Satake thinks that Himuro is being generous. Himuro says that Goujyu High is an eyesore to their own school, so this will be a good chance to make them powerless. Another guy says Akira ignored their orders, so they should be harsher. Himuro says she found someone else she wants to defeat instead of Rina, and she has the right to do so.

Meanwhile, Natsuki and Yanagisawa are walking home. Yanagisawa tells Natsuki that to counter Akira's power, she must concentrate and attack with a single strike. He then sees that she seems distracted, and asks her what's wrong. She asks him when he didn't go to Jotoh Academy with Akira, as that place would have been better for him and he could have gotten much stronger. Yanagisawa says he questioned why he wanted to become the strongest, and if it was to accomplish the art of killing. He'd lost the reason why he'd studied martial arts, whilst Akira was tempted by the demon of power.

He says that he was saved by Goujyu High, and by her. "Defeat your opponents, but keep them safe" -that's the technique she's taught him. They then hear a group of people heading their way, and hide. It's Daigou, along with several masked fighters.

Natsuki says those are the guys from Jotoh who attacked them before, and realizes Rina is in danger! Daigou reaches Rina's place, and enters it. He sees that she's asleep.

One of the guys takes pulls the bedcover off, and Daigou tells Rina that she'll regret what she did to him -she never should have gone against him. He decides to get some photos first, but then Natsuki asks the pervert what he thinks he's doing. He and his men turn around to see Natsuki and Yanagisawa, and Yanagisawa says it appears there are too many of them to call on just one girl.

Daigou orders his guys to attack, but they quickly get taken down. Rina finally wakes up, wondering what's going on.

Daigou manages to escape, and leaps off the balcony. Natsuki sees him and chases after him, but Yanagisawa warns her not to pursue him too far. But he then has to continue fighting the mask guys.

Daigou jumps down from a bridge, but reaches a dead end. Natsuki follows him and says there's nowhere to run. He responds by pulling out a sword.

He wants to repay her the debt from their previous encounter, but she thinks a sword like that is against the rules! Daigou doesn't care, and starts attacking her. She keeps leaping back...

...but eventually he gets her trapped against the wall. He's about to kill her when Yanagisawa suddenly leaps down, and gets stabbed! Seeing this, Natsuki screams out, and gets up.

She runs forward, and creates an energy blast from the palm of her hand. She strikes Daigou with it, and he gets blasted into the water.

Yanagisawa reveals that he's ok -he caught the blade, and only his arm was cut. He tells her not to worry, as this is just a scratch, whilst she's created that Natsuki special.

At Jotoh Academy, Akira defeats several challengers with ease. She thinks Natsuki and Yanagisawa must be working on a way to overcome her mountain storm, but she's mastered all of the martial arts, and she doesn't have any weak points. Satake comes in and says his kick can break 5 baseball bats, and when he wears these leg guards he's even stronger. Akira tells him to bring it on. He says he's won the national karate championship twice in a row, so she shouldn't think so little of him. He kicks a punching bag so hard that it breaks open.

She tells him to hurry up, so he kicks her. He does, but she takes no damage, whilst one of his leg guards shatters. Akira says that with her trained muscle and breathing techniques, her body can become stronger than steel. She tells Natsuki to prepare herself, as she'll send her to hell.

Later on, Rina notices some commotion outside Goujyu High. She sees that Akira is leading a whole army of guys into the school. She decides she can't let Natsuki get involved any further. Outside the school, Himuro is driven to the gates, but he tells his driver he'll be fine waiting here.

Rina gets in Akira's way, and says she won't hide on run away. Akira tells her not to be in such a hurry, as she'll deal with her once she's defeated Natsuki. Rina swears to defeat her right here.

Akira understands, and thinks this will make for a good warm up. The guys with her surround them, and Akira says this will make sure there's no interference. Rina says she'll pay her back for their previous fight. Inside the school, Natsuki is told about what is going on, and rushes off.

As she runs, she hopes Rina won't do anything reckless. Outside, Rina has managed to get Akira into a hold. Akira thinks her skills have improved a little, but she's still just a little child. She prizes Rina's hands off of her.

She says the game is over, and performs the mountain storm on her just as Natsuki runs out. Rina gets slammed onto the ground, and is defeated.

Akira says she's been waiting for Natsuki, and she's finished her warm up. She tells Natsuki to come on, but Yanagisawa asks what the hell this is all about. Akira tells him to watch as his favorite student is defeated, and he tells her she can't do this. But Natsuki asks him to wait, and asks if she can fight.

She says this is the first time she's really felt hatred. Akira says that being hated means she's strong, and anger is a source of power. She thinks Natsuki can show her real skill now, so Natsuki runs towards her. Akira does a punch, but Natsuki avoids it.

Akira blocks Natsuki's first kick, but gets hit by the second, and hits the school. She gets up and says that was a good move, and this is getting more interesting. Satake appears, and tells Yanagisawa long time no see. He thinks Natsuki isn't bad, but Akira will kill her.

Natsuki hits Akira with another kick, but she just stands there and takes it. She then throws Natsuki through a window.

Akira does a kick which breaks down part of a wall. Natsuki gets up and punches Akira a few times, to no avail. She gets kicked into another wall, setting the fire alarm off.

She gets up just in time to avoid Akira's punch, and then retreats. Satake says that the difference in strength is too great, there's no way Natsuki can win. But Yanagisawa thinks to himself that she can win with the Natsuki special. Nearby, Akira chases after Natsuki.

Natsuki gets to the roof, and shuts the door. Akira kicks it down seconds later, only for Natsuki to jump down from behind and kick her.

Natsuki rushes forward, but Akira hits her with an elbow. Natsuki gets up and tries to attack again, only for Akira to knock her down with a punch. Akira says it's about time she finished her, as she, like Rina, will just be another victim.

Natsuki gets up and screams Akira's name, but Yanagisawa appears, and tells her to put away her anger. He says she should get back to her own style, as martial arts are not for killing. Defeating opponents and letting them live -that's her style that she must get back to. Akira wonders what this means, and thinks Yanagisawa has taught Natsuki a technique she doesn't know. Yanagisawa says he's not taught it to her, she learnt it by herself: the techniques to keep the opponent safe. Akira disagrees, saying that techniques are the art of killing.

Natsuki tells her she's wrong. Techniques are to save yourself and others, and it's pathetic to use them for killing. Akira thinks that's nonsense, and she doesn't listen to losers. Yanagisawa says that if she had come to Goujyu High, she would understand. He wanted the two of them to learn together, and be with her. She thinks he's lying, and thinks it's Natsuki who's changed him.

She says she won't forgive her, and lunges forward. She performs the mountain storm, but Natsuki flips over as she does the throw.

She lands on her feet, and gathers energy to her hand. She hits Akira with her new technique.

Akira gets blasted off the roof, and crashes into another building down below. Natsuki has won the fight.

Satake and the other guys leave the school. At the gates, Himuro tells his driver to go. He then says that Akira isn't the only one they have.

Natsuki goes back to Rina, and finds that she's not responsive. She says they'd just become friends, and starts crying. Rina opens her eyes, and asks what's up?

Everyone is surprised at this -Natsuki drops Rina in shock when she realizes her friend is still alive! Rina hits her head and thinks it was only them who thought she'd died. Natsuki is relieved, but Rina asks her about Akira. Natsuki makes it clear she's won. Rina thinks Natsuki really is great, so Natsuki shoves her down and say she's embarrassing her.

Rina gets up and yells at her for doing that -she's injured! Natsuki jokes that she was defeated because she's a wimp. Rina tells her not to think she's the strongest just because she got lucky. Natsuki claims it was pure skill, so Rina suggests they have a rematch!
