Komodai and his ninja clan use a portal to enter Earthrealm, but they are intercepted by Liu Kang and the rest of the team. They manage to defeat the clan and send them back through the portal, but during the battle, Komodai spits acid onto Jax's bionic arms, damaging them. Stryker tries to seal up the portal but notices an irregularity, however he seemingly succeeds in closing it. As the team head back to base, the portal reopens and Komodai vows revenge. At the base Nightwolf finds out that Jax's bionic arms are missing the control chips, making them useless.

Another rip is then found. However Sonya reveals she stayed behind to look for the missing control chips, which she finds. But she is then attacked by Komodai. Nightwolf finds out that some Shokan warriors have entered Earthrealm. Rayden has most of the team head to where the Shokan are, whilst telling Jax to go and help Sonya. Jax doubts he can do anything without his bionic arms, but after some encouragement from Nightwolf, heads to where Sonya is via a dragon jet. Meanwhile, the others confront the Shokan warriors, who are led by Sheeva.

Jax eventually finds Komodai, who has captured Sonya. The two battle, and Jax is able to distract Komodai with a decoy. The two continue to fight, and thanks to some help from Sonya, Jax is able to defeat his opponent. Elsewhere, Rayden and the team are able to defeat the Shokan, so Sheeva orders a retreat. Before she leaves, she uses a fireball to blow up the shaft, preventing the team from following them.

Jax and Sonya go to where the rest of the team are, and leave Komodai in Rayden's custody. The team return to the base, and Jax's bionic arms are repaired. Jax says he's never felt better about himself, but Sonya sees that Jax has put his bionics back on. She thought that he'd finally got it: brains are a better tool that brawn. He says he actually agrees with her for once, but it doesn't hurt to have a little extra help.

Notes

-Komodai is practically a clone of Reptile from the Mortal Kombat games, just with a different name. Presumably, because Reptile died in the live action movie, Komodai had to be created to take his place. However there are a few instances in this episode where characters call Komodai "Reptile".

-This is the first episode to use the dragon logo as a transition between scenes. It happens a couple of times.

Errors

-When Sonya first starts fighting Komodai, Komodai is suddenly wearing his mask again.
-As Nightwolf tells Jax that he was lucky, part of his hair on the left side of his head vanishes for a couple of frames. It does come back.
-Jax's pants are colored the same as his skin when he flies towards the castle, making it look like he's naked in the jet. Then he says this.
