Giga and Mega know where to strike -and with Overlord's base mode ready, they know that this operation is going to be a total success. The next phase of this operation is to let Ginrai know, in an operation Giga calls the "dark base of the lighthouse!"
Overlord's many weapons start firing, blowing up parts of the Cybertron base. Inside the base, Hawk tells everyone not to panic and gets Shuuta to monitor their own weapon systems. The base's weapons fire back, but don't hold a candle to Overlord's power.
Most of the base's weapons are destroyed quickly, and the base itself continues to been blown apart. Fires break out around the base, including the section which Clouder is still in. Minerva reports this, so Hawk tells her to activate the shutters to stop the fire from spreading. She refuses, saying that Clouder is down there. She heads down to save him.
Minerva gets to where Clouder is and activates the room's sprinklers, putting out the fire. But before she can free him, Cab and Shuuta yell to her, as there are more fires to put out. She goes to help them, leaving Clouder restrained. Meanwhile Hawk notices that the Destrons are targeting a different section of the base, and to his horror he realises they are attacking the section he is in! Too late to get out of the way, Hawk gets thrown across the room by an explosion.
Meanwhile, Super Ginrai is still fighting with Hydra and Buster, oblivious to what is going on at their base. Back in the base, Minerva says they should escape, but Hawk says this base belongs to his father, he can't leave it. Minerva doesn't know how the three of them are going to defend it now, though. Inside Overlord, Giga and Mega see that have done so much damage to the base that they can start the climax of their plan.
In the city, Hydra and Buster unite into their Darkwings mode, but get shot down by a couple of tenchoukon beams fired by Super Ginrai. They finally retreat, but then Giga and Mega contact Super Ginrai. They tell him that his base is about to be blown to pieces!
Super Ginrai tells Road King and Ranger to stay in the city and continue with rescue operations, whilst he and Lightfoot will return to their base. In the base, Shuuta and Cab put out more fires. Minerva hears the injured Hawk weakly say they must protect the base, but she knows there is nothing more they can do. As Super Ginrai arrives on the scene, he tells Lightfoot to get inside the base and help Hawk and the others. His appearance is seen by Giga and Mega, who transform Overlord into robot mode.
Overlord fires on Super Ginrai, telling him resistance is useless. He and his base are doomed! Overlord knocks him down and then contacts King Poseidon, telling him to start the next stage of their plan.
King Poseidon transforms back into the separate Seacons, who move in towards the base. But they are joined by even more Seacons, who Turtler leads. Super Ginrai punches Overlord and knocks him down, before starting to stomp on him. He wants to know what the next stage of the Destron's plan is.
The Seacons tunnel their way through the ground and enter the base, but some are spotted by Lightfoot. He calls Ginrai to inform him.
Some of the Seacons pass by where Clouder is, but they pay no attention to him. Turtler leads a Lobclaw to the magma energy conversion generator, which is located in the centre of the base. Turtler says the base will crumble if they destroy this, and sets the Lobclaw on it. Super Ginrai finds out from Lightfoot about the Seacons, and sees that even more of them are heading inside the base.
The Lobclaw smashes the generator, making parts of it explode. Sections of the base begin to crumble, including the one Clouder is in. The generator starts to overload.
Turtler makes sure that all of the entrances to the base are destroyed, leaving the Cybertrons trapped inside it. Outside the base, Super Ginrai becomes God Ginrai, and gets ready to continue his fight with Overlord. Back inside the base, Lightfoot comes across a whole army of Lobclaws, but he closes a shutter to temporarily stop their advance.
He gets in contact with Shuuta and tells him to shut all of the other shutters. Back outside, God Ginrai shoots down Overlord, but is then contacted by Lightfoot. He tells him that they've got a major problem, as the base's generator is going to explode in less than 10 minutes! And they can't get out since all of the entrances have been destroyed. God Ginrai tells him to get himself and the others to the shelter on the top level.
The Cybertrons move out, but Minerva saves Clouder first. God Ginrai uses his Godpunch attack to daze Overlord, and then has Godbomber remove itself from him.
Godbomber crashes into Overlord, whilst Super Ginrai grabs the Godcannon and takes aim. Inside the shelter, Shuuta and the others wonder what their Commander is doing...
...as he fires the shot at the base. He knows that if the magma energy explodes, the base will be obliterated, so if he can just draw some of that magma energy out...the Godcannon shot hits part of the base where the generator is, which explodes and destroys the generator. The shelter starts to crack, but Godbomber appears next to it.
Lightfoot and the others are safe, and they watch as their base starts to explode. Super Ginrai tosses Overlord towards the base, who smacks into it. But a large explosion sends Overlord flying into the sky.
Overlord is gone, but Super Ginrai watches as the Cybertron base explodes and crumbles into nothing. Road King and Ranger arrive, but are too late to do anything as they re-group with the others and look at the smoldering crater where the base used to be.
Clouder sits on a hill, looking at what remains of the base. It is because of him this happened, and the Destrons just used and then discarded him. When Super Ginrai appears next to him, Clouder says he wants to work for the Cybertrons now, and Super Ginrai allows it. Clouder then walks off into the sunset.
