An Earthquake has rocked Australia, causing major damage to cities. However it was the Destrons who caused it. At the Destron base, Giga finds out that the Seacons were the ones responsible, as their construction work on a new base involved using explosives on the ocean floor. These explosions caused an underwater volcano to become active. Giga is worried that the Cybertrons may investigate and find the location of the new advance base they are building, but Mega tells him not to worry. An entire battalion of Seacons guard the base.



Lightfoot has been dispatched to investigate, and has arrived in Australia. He heads towards the location of the earthquake's epicenter. He finds out that the location is 100km offshore from Sydney, and reports this to Ginrai. He then transforms to robot mode and leaps into the water.



Lightfoot sees the underwater volcano, and reports it. Wanting more precise information, he throws down a sensor, and finds out from the data it collects that the volcano will erupt within the next 24 hours. Lightfoot then hears something, and has to get out of the way -he's under missile attack!



The Seacons have appeared, and chase after Lightfoot. He tells Ginrai and then swims off, but comes across the Destron advance base. The Seacons then surround him and start circling him extremely quickly.



The Seacons start shooting at Lightfoot and the ground, and their laser blasts tear a fissure into the seabed. Lightfoot falls, and a large rock falls onto him.



The Cybertrons can't get into contact with their Lieutenant Commander, so Ginrai tells the Headmaster Juniors to load their transtectors into Godbomber. Moments later, the Cybertron team rolls out. As they leave the base, Godbomber's wings connect to Super Ginrai, who picks up the rest of Godbomber and heads towards Australia.



Meanwhile, Giga commands Turtler to destroy Lightfoot immediately, but Mega has an idea. She says they should assume that Lightfoot would have contacted the Cybertron base already. Another Cybertron will be on the way to rescue him, so they should wait for his arrival and then destroy them both. They then see on a monitor that Super Ginrai has appeared, and he's carrying Godbomber. Giga tells Turtler that underwater combat is the Seacon's specialty, so he is to destroy Super Ginrai.



The Cybertrons arrive next to the sea. Super Ginrai says he's going to rescue Lightfoot, whilst they are to go and help with rescue operations in the city. He jumps into the water and homes in on Lightfoot's location, unaware that Gilmer and Turtler have seen him. Turtler says he's jumped into a sea of fire. As he transforms into King Poseidon, Super Ginrai finds Lightfoot and moves the rock off him.



Lightfoot says that the Destrons are constructing an advance base nearby. But then the two get covered in rocks, rock which King Poseidon throws at them. Gilmer reports back to Giga and Mega, saying that Super Ginrai is now trapped with Lightfoot. When the underwater volcano erupts, both of them will be destroyed! And with Super Ginrai out of the way, getting rid of the other Cybertrons shall be easy.



As the Headmaster Juniors continue with rescue operations, Super Ginrai and Lightfoot blast their way our of the debris they got covered in. But not long after climbing out, things begin to shake, as the stability of the underwater volcano worsens. More rocks head down, and once again Super Ginrai and Lightfoot get covered. But the fissure they are in seals up!



Having finished their work, the Headmaster Juniors head back to the place where Super Ginrai entered the waters. Shuuta asks Godbomber if Super Ginrai has returned yet, but he shakes his head. Shuuta tries contacting Ginrai, but gets no response. Shuuta, Cab and Minerva decide to go into the sea and find him, and transform. But at they approach the water, Godbomber gets in their way. Shuuta thinks he wants to come also, but he grabs them and tosses them back!



Minerva asks Godbomber what's wrong, and he points at himself as well as pointing at the water. Minerva seems to understand that he wants them to stay here whilst he goes after Ginrai and Lightfoot. Godbomber leaps into the sea, and starts his search. Meanwhile, Super Ginrai and Lightfoot are trying to blast their way out. Lightfoot thinks the volcano will erupt any moment and they'll never make it out alive at this rate, but Super Ginrai tells him not to give up hope as they still have some time.



King Poseidon is waiting for the volcano to erupt, just to make sure Super Ginrai dies. But he sees Godbomber heading towards him, and almost gets blown to pieces by a Godcannon shot. Godbomber continues on, so King Poseidon chases after him.



Godbomber goes around the volcano, and comes across the Destron base. But it is guarded by many Seacons, who shoot at him. He retreats, but the volcano starts to erupt. Some of the Seacons get destroyed by the eruption, whilst others try to move out of the way. Godbomber finds where Ginrai and Lightfoot are, and starts to cut his way through the ocean floor.



Lightfoot says the volcano is erupting, so there is only one option left -he will self-destruct, destroying the rock wall! If they stay here, they will both die, and he wants his Commander to escape. Super Ginrai tells him not to be stupid and not to throw his life away, but Lightfoot says he isn't throwing it away. As Lieutenant Commander, it is his duty to protect his superior. He runs off to destroy himself, but Super Ginrai punches him down. He commands him not to kill himself and instead says to think of another way out of here. But they then see part of the wall next to them crack open.



King Poseidon desperately tries to destroy the numerous flaming rocks heading his way, but one takes him down whilst many more destroy the base. Meanwhile, Godbomber finally gets through the wall, and the Cybertrons get out of the sealed fissure.



King Poseidon has also survived, and sees that some other Seacons are still around. The Cybertrons see them, and Lightfoot says he can deal with the Seacons, whilst Super Ginrai will have to take on King Poseidon. Super Ginrai units with Godbomber to become God Ginrai.



King Poseidon is much more dangerous underwater and uses his sword against God Ginrai. Meanwhile, Lightfoot starts to shoot down the other Seacons.



King Poseidon gets God Ginrai into a hold, and tries to push him off into the volcano. But Lightfoot sees them and uses his "Choukon Speed Drill" technique, which distracts King Poseidon...



...allowing God Ginrai to throw him. He then uses his own Choukon power to fire off a Godcannon shot, which destroys his opponent.



On the surface, the Headmaster Juniors witness a large explosion, and see that the volcano has appeared. But they also see that their Cybertron friends have survived. At the Destron base, Giga crushes his wine glass in frustration.



He shouts at Turtler, telling him he is a fool and how dare he make a mistake at such a critical moment. However, Mega says it is pointless blaming him as they have all underestimated the power of Godbomber. As the Destrons start to think up a new plot, the Cybertron team returns to base.
