Some girls are playing tennis, when the ball hits Bullhorn. The Destron Headmaster Juniors have appeared on the court.

"Hey cuties, wanna have some fun?!"

The girls would rather not, and run away in fear. Bullhorn thinks their ugly transtectors scared them off, but Wilder thinks Bullhorn's ugly face is the problem. Bullhorn says his mom told him he was the cutest kid in the world! Getting back to business, Cancer says they need to continue their mission of finding that Cybertron Godmaster guy. Wilder wants to do this to impress Hydra, Buster and the Destron Pretenders.

At the Cybertron base, Shuuta shows Ginrai a computer he can use for combat training purposes. He says he wants to defend the Earth from the Destrons no matter what, for the sake of his deceased father. The two head back to Hawk, and Ginrai says the base is spectacular. He also understands Shuuta's hatred for the Destrons. But the reason he left Japan to live in America was because he wanted to be free.

Shuuta says that Ginrai had to fight the Destrons in America, but he says if anyone got super powerful mecha like they have then they would try and act like Superman. He can kind of understand why the Destron Juniors would like to be able to do whatever they want. Shuuta thinks that is a terrible thing to say, it is as if he is trying to say that those in power can make others suffer! Ginrai tells him not to take his words seriously -he doesn't think it is a good thing, but he understands how they feel. He then quickly changes the subject, as he remembers that Cab invited them to dinner. He and Shuuta go to meet him. Cab is preparing food in the style of Karin Island's famous pit-fire cooking.

Ginrai thinks it is delicious, and even a five star restaurant couldn't beat it. Shuuta thinks Cab's outdone himself this time. Back in the base, Hawk asks Minerva if she is going outside to eat with the others. She thinks that she said some mean things to Ginrai, but Hawk tells her he isn't the kind of guy to dwell on things forever. He convinces her to go out.

Ginrai finds out that Cab's homeland was attacked by the Destrons also. Cab says this is why he won't let the Destrons do what they want. Ginrai thinks everyone has been through some tough times, including Minerva. Shuuta thinks that Minerva has the wrong idea about Ginrai, but he thinks she is a good kid. She's honest, and has no trouble speaking her mind. He's not mad at her or anything. Minerva happens to overhear all this as she appears next to them. She tells Ginrai she's sorry at what happened, as she let her emotions get the better of her, but Ginrai says she didn't do anything wrong. When he gets mad, he loses sight of everything, so what she said was right on the mark. She gave it to him good!

The two start to laugh, but Shuuta and Cab think the two of them are being a little bit too friendly. They start to drag him away, whilst warning Minerva that she should be more careful around this guy than anyone else! Ginrai ends up pushing Minerva forward as Shuuta and Cab try to charge him, but completely miss as he gets away.

"Oh, I HATE YOU THREE!!!"

"Why can't girls take a joke?"

Elsewhere, Hydra and Buster are searching for Ginrai. They only know he is still in Japan, and decide to split up to try and find him faster.

The Destron Headmaster Juniors are also looking for Ginrai, but take a break next to a lake. As Bullhorn drinks, Cancer says he is sure he has seen that mountain before...but he can't be sure. When the Cybertrons transported him out of their base, he was blindfolded, so he really doesn't know if their base is around here or not. Wilder says he should have concentrated on smells or left a trail like they do in all the ninja movies, but Cancer says it all happened so fast he had no time to do that.

Ginrai and friends are about to go off on a quick race to work off their lunch, but Ginrai notices that his transtector's engine is running. He swears he turned it off, and as he moves in, the door opens by itself. And when he gets in, the door shuts on him!

Ginrai says he's OK, but his transtector seems to be reacting to some kind of power. And then the truck starts to drive by itself! Ginrai tries to get it under control, but nothing responds and the truck moves off. Shuuta tells Minerva to inform Hawk, whilst he and Cab follow Ginrai. It seems Ginrai's truck wants to take him somewhere.

Meanwhile in Nagano, at the base of Mount Yatsugatake, a group of construction workers are building a tunnel. But they have a problem, as their is an object in their way that they can't move, no matter what they try. The black obelisk in their way it unaffected by the explosives they've used, and they don't dare use more powerful ones as they could destroy their tunnel. Just then the obelisk shines brightly.

Ginrai's transtector is still driving itself, and takes a short cut through a forest. Ginrai realises that up ahead is Nagano, his place of birth. The truck starts to speed up.

The Destron Headmaster Juniors are taking another break and enjoying some hot ramen, although Cancer is thinking more about how they should search for Ginrai. Wilder thinks they must find a way to lure him out, but then a report on TV comes on. It mentions the obelisk, but the three are more surprised when they see Ginrai, Cab and Shuuta with the construction workers! They head out to the mountain.

At the mountain, Ginrai heads inside. He feels some kind of connection in there, and his truck did bring him here. The construction overseer warns him that it is dangerous, but follows him in anyway. But the obelisk starts to move, and heads straight towards them! They run out, as the obelisk comes to a stop at the tunnel entrance.

The Destron Headmaster Juniors then appear on the scene. Shuuta and Cab try to fight them, but are outnumbered. Ginrai yells to Wilder that he knows how he feels, but he must not walk down the path of evil.

Wilder doesn't appreciate his preaching and opens fire, so Ginrai transforms and uses his Choukon power to throw a rock which knocks the gun out of his hand. Back at the Cybertron base, Hawk says he wants to check out that obelisk, and tells Minerva to stay at the base just in case Diver or the others contact them in an emergency.

Back at the mountain, Hydra and Buster see the fight and join in. Buster uses tenchoukon power to brings Ginrai to his knees. Hydra tells his brother to use all of his power.

Metalhawk then arrives, and starts to fight with Hydra. Ginrai stands up, and tells Buster no to underestimate him. He manages to stop Buster's attack, and then an aura surrounds him. The obelisk starts to react, shining brightly...

...there is then an explosion, and both Hydra and Buster are blasted back. The obelisk shatters, revealing something that was inside it. Hydra and Buster transform and retreat, and when the Destron Headmasters Juniors see this, they also run.

The object inside the obelisk is a large trailer for Ginrai's transtector. Shuuta and Cab think it looks awesome, but what could is possibly be used for? And what lies ahead for Ginrai?

NOTES

The mean things that Minerva said are "Mr. Ginrai!" and "But he's...he's...". Doesn't really seem that mean to me.

The construction overseer is voiced by Yukitoshi Hori. Yukitoshi is the brother of Hideyuki Hori, who voiced Chromedome in The Headmasters.
