The Mist of Vengeance
Hol Horse wonders where Dio is. Dio calls out to him from above, asking him what he wants. He comes down and asks him again what he wants, so Hol Horse says he's here to report that Polnareff has defected to the Joestar group. Dio says that what Polnareff did is unimportant, and anyone can be a messenger.
He tells Hol Horse to not waste time hanging around here, he wants him to hurry up and prove his loyalty to him. He walks off and sits down, telling Hol Horse to live up to his expectations. Hol Horse thinks Dio has some nerve to talk to him like that. He also thinks he's leaving himself open to attack. He never pledged his loyalty to Dio.
He bids farewell to Dio, and thinks he can regret this moment in hell. He fires a shot from the Emperor, only for Dio to disappear. He appears behind Hol Horse, and tells him that when he went for the kill, he didn't sweat, and his breathing remained stable.
He tells him that was impressive, and then leaves the room. Hol Horse can't understand what just happened... he just doesn't get it!
Hol Horse wakes up from his dream, and wonders why he's having a dream like that now. Elsewhere, Jotaro's group are filling up their truck with gas. Kakyoin looks at a map, and says that if they continue at this rate, they should reach the Red Sea within a few days. And once they pass there, they'll arrive in Egypt.
As everyone gets back in the truck, Joseph says it has been more than 30 days since they left Japan. They have no time to waste, so they'd best get a move on. Meanwhile, Hol Horse visits Enya. He tells her that if they join forces, they'll make an invincible pair. She doesn't respond, and Hol Horse thinks she's being cold. But she then stabs his arm with a knife!
She asks him why he thinks he was told to come here. She wants a chance to avenge J. Geil, something Lord Dio granted her. She asks how Hol Horse dared to abandon J. Geil and shamelessly make his way back here. Hol Horse says she has it all wrong, J. Geil was dead by the time he arrived. She tells him to stop making excuses, as he'll atone for his crime with his death! She takes the knife out and says he must have heard rumors about her Stand.
She says she'll show her Stand: Justice! A mist emits from her hand, which surrounds Hol Horse. She says this is a mist of death, and she does something which causes Hol Horse's arm to heavily bleed. A hole is then blown out of his arm.
Enya says that whatever wound her mist touches will end up with a hole like that. Hol Horse says that's enough, and summons the Emperor. But Enya tells him that once the mist enters the hole, it turns you into a puppet. Hol Horse can't control his own arm, which forces him to place the barrel of the Emperor into his mouth, and then pull the trigger. Enya says that justice prevails.
Nearby, Jotaro's group encounter some dense fog. Joseph looks at his watch and says it's only 3 o'clock, but decides they'd best find a nearby town where they can stay for the night. They drive into the nearest town, but as they get out of the truck, the place appears to be deserted.
They start looking around for a hotel, but there really does seem to be nobody here. They come across a dead dog, and Polnareff thinks it stinks. But they then finally see an actual person. Polnareff asks him for directions to a hotel with clean bathrooms.
But they then see that the guy is dead. Polnareff wonders why a dead body has just been left out on the street like this, and Kakyoin thinks maybe he had something like a heart attack. Jotaro thinks that's possible, but this doesn't look like a simple heart attack. He has Polnareff move the guy's arm, revealing that he is holding a gun.
Joseph touches the barrel, and says it's still warm -it hasn't been too long since it was fired. Polnareff thinks that the guy must have killed himself, but Kakyoin tells them to look at the wound. He reveals a hole under the guy's throat the size of a coin. Jotaro wonder's why there is no blood, as a large, deep hole like that should be bleeding a lot.
Kakyoin rips the guy's shirt open, revealing that his chest is covered with holes. But there's no blood anywhere, so how did he die? Kakyoin thinks they'll have to let the police know, and then sees a woman and her children nearby. He asks her to call the police, but she ignores him. He calls out to her, so she turns around, and asks him what he wants. Kakyoin explains a man died over there, so he wants her to call the police. She repeats what he's just said, but then complains about her itchy skin.
As she and her children walk off, Joseph asks what the deal is with the people in this town. Jotaro asks him if he thinks if this could be the work of another Stand user. Joseph wonders why they'd murder an innocent man prior to their arrival here. Kakyoin thinks if a Stand user is hiding in this town, they should escape as soon as possible. Polnareff says they can't escape with this fog everywhere, so he doesn't know what to do.
An old woman then appears, and says the dead body must be here. She tells the group she's brought the police with her, and Polnareff is ecstatic to see that a decent person has finally shown up. She thinks they must be travelers, and tells them with this fog it's too dangerous for them to drive out of town. But she happens to manage a hotel, and asks them if they want to stay in it for the night.
Polnareff says they were looking for a hotel, so she's saved them. The police take the dead body away, although Joseph and Polnareff are surprised at how indifferent they act over seeing a dead body. The old woman tells the group they should get going, as this fog is very dense.
She tells them not to forget their luggage, and asks them if they're ready. Polnareff says they are, and as they're only staying for one night, they don't have much luggage. As he talks, the old woman is actually Enya in disguise, who tries not to lose it listening to the words of the one who killed her son. She leads everyone back to her hotel.
Inside, Polnareff thinks this hotel has turned out to be quite the find. Enya asks Mr. Joestar to sign in, but Jotaro asks her how she knew that name. Enya says that Polnareff mentioned his name earlier.
Polnareff thinks if he said the name or not, but can't remember. Enya says he did say it, and just because she's old, doesn't mean they can treat her like she's going senile! Polnareff then says he did say it, so Joseph signs in. He notices that the name "Enya" in the book.
Enya asks what he knows about that name, but he says he just thought it was unusual for a woman to be traveling by herself. Enya says that woman is a beautiful lady, which are quite rare for around here. Polnareff says he'd like to get acquainted with her, but Enya says that would be impossible.
She gives everyone the keys to their rooms, and says that Polnareff's room will be on the second floor. Polnareff says he has no problem with that, but then asks her a question: he's noticed that she has only been using her right hand, so is there something wrong with her left hand? Enya says she accidentally spilt hot water onto her left hand, burning it. Polnareff says she should be more careful, and walks off to his room. As Jotaro and Joseph head to their rooms, Joseph asks Jotaro what he was going on about earlier. Jotaro says you never know where the enemy might be, so he decided to ask a trick question. Ever since they arrived in this town, he's had this feeling that they're being watched.
Polnareff thinks that this bed sure is better than the truck. Joseph tries the phone, but it doesn't work. Meanwhile Polnareff thinks about Enya's left hand, and decides to go and have a drink.
He goes to the bar, and sees a woman there. He starts talking to her, and asks her if he can get her a drink -and if she's single. Enya takes down her hood and introduces herself.
Kakyoin looks out of his room's window, and thinks this is a town of the dead. Enya tells Polnareff that she's traveling in search of a person, so Polnareff asks her to tell him about it. She says she is looking for a killer, and Polnareff says they are sharing the same experience. She says her own son was murdered, and Polnareff says he understands her, as his own sister was murdered.
He says he'll help her, but then Hol Horse opens a door and falls down. Polnareff wonders what he is doing here, but Hol Horse tells him to run.
The guy behind the bar tries to attack Polnareff, but his half-hearted stabs are easily blocked by Silver Chariot. Silver Chariot slices the guy's fingers off, and Polnareff thinks he was no ordinary human.
Enya starts laughing, and says she didn't finish her story. She says she has found the killer. Polnareff looks around the bar, and sees that everyone in it seems to be a zombie. He also sees that one of the zombies is the guy they saw dead on the street earlier!
Enya says Polnareff is the one she has been searching for, and calls him a nuisance to Lord Dio, and the killer of her son, J. Geil. She says there is only one Stand per person, but her Stand, Justice, can control the dead. She can control hundreds, or thousands, without any limitations. And since these zombies are already dead, they can't be killed.
Enya reveals that her left hand is a right one, and Polnareff says he understands now. Enya tells him how dare he kill her son -he will die a slow, painful death.
