In Rome, a priest tells Maxwell about his memories of the Major, describing him as looking unlike any other SS officer he'd ever seen. Maxwell asks the priest about what happened in 1941 -he knows the priest was a member of the Vatican's European general directorate, collaborating with the Major and his organization. The priest claims they were forced into collaborating. |

Integra speaks to Alucard via phone. She says that the Queen has called for a gathering herself, and tells him to return at once. Alucard asks her if she enjoyed the thrill of declaring war, did she feel her blood rush, the warmth of hell's fires as she ordered the slaughter? Integra yells at him to not speak to her, before calling him a monster and hanging up. |

At Millennium's HQ, the aged Nazis are annoyed with the Major's recent actions. A Colonel wants to know what's going on, but the Major says his orders are top secret, and were issued personally from the late Führer. The Colonel hits him and tells him not to dare take that attitude. He starts repeatedly hitting the Major, and asks why he won't turn them into vampires. |

![]()

![]()

He is stopped when his cane is shot into pieces, as Zorin Blitz tells him that's enough back talk -one more childish outburst and she'll blow his head off. The Nazis all take aim at the Colonel, as the Major gets back up. |

He says he intends to imbibe on the infinite pleasure of war. So he'll bring forth another war, and another, again and again. |

Back in Rome, Maxwell says the Major's plans called for the creation of many vampires: the Führer's secret last battalion. But he knows that the priest did more than fund the operation, and he was more than a mere pawn. The title more suited to him would be "collaborator". He thinks the priest saying he was forced to cooperate was ridiculous, and believes he asked the Major to turn him into a vampire. The priest says it wasn't just him, all of them were forced to help him. He claims he was tricked, and then begs Maxwell for help. |

In South America, Alucard's group discuss how to get back to England. Seras thinks a boat would be bad, as it'd take a week to get home. But Vernedead says a private jet is out of the question. And they can't leave the coffins here either. Alucard says his own true kingdom is within this box, it's where he was born, and where he'll die. Just then, Anderson kicks the door down. |

He and Alucard start fighting, but he suddenly stops, and throws a bayonet at a wall. |

It sticks a piece of paper to the wall. Alucard says that the Vatican has a small private jet 13 kilometers north of here, and the paper on the wall is the release paper. He tells them to take it and get out of here, before he decides to decapitate Alucard again. |

In England, the Round Table members are gathered, along with Maxwell, Renaldo and Heinkel from the Iscariot organization. Alucard's group returns, and Integra tells her servant what he did was well executed. The Queen awaits him, so he should remove his glasses. |

![]()

![]()

As he approaches the Queen, two bodyguards get in his way, but he swats them aside. He goes up to the Queen, and she tells the vampire it has been a very long time. She tells him to come closer so she can look at him, and he crouches down. She tells Alucard that all these years have passed, yet he hasn't aged a day. |

![]()

![]()

But time hasn't been as kind to her -can he believe how quickly she became an old woman? He says he can still see the same spirited young woman he met 50 years ago. To his eyes, time has made her even more beautiful. The Queen laughs, then tells him to proceed with his report. Alucard says that, 55 years ago, a deranged Nazi Major attempted to breed a vampire army. |

He and Walter laid waste to their operation, however it seems that they simply refused to die. They've returned, replenished their numbers, and are ready to complete their original mission. That's what Millennium truly is: the last battalion. |

![]()

![]()

Millennium member Schrödinger then appears out of nowhere. He says Tubalcain's thirst for blood must have given them away. Heinkel and Vernedead point their guns at him, but he says he's just a messenger, and isn't here to fight anyone. Integra asks for an explanation, but Walter can't think of how Schrödinger got past security. Schrödinger says he's everywhere and nowhere. |

![]()

![]()

Seras looks at Schrödinger and thinks he's only a child... just what is Millennium, and what are they after? Schrödinger announces to the gathered representatives of the Vatican and Great Britain, his commanding officer, the Major, has a message for all of them. He puts a screen down on the table and turns it on. Everyone hears someone screaming for help, and as the picture comes on, they see many dead Nazis who've been torn apart. Schrödinger thinks the Major has his hands full, but the Major says it feels like a weight has been lifted from his shoulders. |

Alucard says hello to the Major, and the Major says he's so happy to see him again. Integra asks what he wants. The Major tells her he's finally face to face with her, and it's a pleasure to meet him. She asks what their purpose is, and what he's trying to accomplish. |

![]()

![]()

The Major thinks that's a silly question. To put it in the simplest possible terms, their purpose is a total absence of purpose. The camera moves to some of the older Nazis, most of who are dead. The Colonel is still alive, and has a sign from his neck stating "hang the defeatist" on it. The Major tells Integra to be aware that there are some people in this world where the means doesn't require an end. |

![]()

![]()

He says he's speaking of himself, and signals for some of his vampires to kill the Colonel. They start to do so, and Doc tells them to be sure to eat every bite. |

![]()

![]()

Schrödinger didn't think the Major's decision would be so harsh. Maxwell calls them all insane. The Major asks if he just heard someone from Iscariot questioning his sanity, so he decides to ask Maxwell if his God would allow his madness to flourish across the globe. |

![]()

![]()

Any God like that would be just as mad as him. He says that Millennium is the finest of the the Third Reich, and asks if they have any idea as to how many people they've killed. For Maxwell to call him insane is foolishness, as the Vatican didn't have any objections 50 years ago. He says Iscariot can try and stop him, but then reveals Iscariot isn't his true enemy. His true enemy is Britain, the Hellsings, or that man laughing in the corner back there. Alucard is the one laughing. |

![]()

![]()

He calls this an excellent declaration of war, and he can't wait to destroy them again. The Major tells him no matter what he does, they'll never give up. They'll reverse this situation as many times as they have to. Integra tells Alucard and Seras to kill him. Alucard shoots Schrödinger, destroying his head. |

![]()

![]()

The Major says his goodbyes, and tells Integra he looks forward to meeting her across the battlefield. Seras then blows the screen away, but everyone notices that Schrödinger's body has vanished. |

The Queen tells Alucard and Hellsing to destroy them -they have their orders. Meanwhile, Doc says they at last have their audience's undivided attention. The Major tells the Captain and Doc that once he starts his dance, he dances to the bitter end. They head to the command center of the Deus Ex Machima, the flagship zeppelin of the Millennium group. The Nazis there salute the Major. |

Schrödinger tells the Major he's so slow -in the time it took him to walk down one little hallway, he went all the way to London, got his head blown off and made it back. He thinks the Major should start going on a diet, but the Major laughs and says he couldn't do that. Doc tells Schrödinger to show some respect, but the Major says it's alright. His warrant officer has succeeded in his mission. |

Out at sea, a helicopter approaches the Eagle, a British battleship. Inside, the crew wonder what's going on, not expecting the helicopter to be there. But the second in command suddenly turns into a vampire, and attacks the crew. |

![]()

![]()

The entire crew soon become ghouls, as the helicopter lands on the deck of the Eagle. Out of it steps Rip Van Winkle, who says she's acquired a pretty ship. |

![]()

![]()

The remaining Eagle crew, who had switched to the Millennium group, appear. The new Captain welcomes Rip, and says the Eagle is at her disposal. Rip asks him how it feels to become a vampire, lead a mutiny, murder his crew and commit high treason all in one night. She wonders about how he feels now that he's condemned his shipmates to hell, doomed to walk the Earth as ghoulish, rotting corpses. When he and the other two don't give an answer, she tells them this is excellent work -the Millennium group are happy to have them, and the Major is so proud. They definitely deserve everything that's coming to them. She tells the dirty limey that the only thing left for him to do is die. |

![]()

![]()

She fires a single shot from her musket. The Captain manages to jump out of the way, and says they've been set up. The other two vampires are killed by the single bullet, and the Captain thinks this is impossible. Rip says she's the huntress, and her bullet punishes all without distinction. The Captain leaps towards her, but the bullet, which is still flying around in the sky, changes direction. |

![]()

![]()

It hits the Captain so hard that his entire body is torn apart. Inside the helicopter, several vampire Nazis awaken, and go to see what Rip is going. She says she's run out of paint before she could finish, so she had to improvise. She thought it was a bit drab up here, so she thought she'd christen their new ship. She's painted a massive swastika on it. |

Back at the Hellsing HQ, Walter says they keep killing them, but they just keep coming back -they have to give them credit for their persistence. Alucard says to let them return as many times as they please, they'll just keep killing them. And at least it's not just the two of them killing any more, it's nice to have a new piece on the board. Walter asks why Alucard turned Seras into a vampire, as it seems so out of character. Alucard says it wasn't his decision, it was hers. He asks Walter if he's met Seras' family yet, but Walter says she's orphaned. Alucard thinks that underneath that girlish exterior lies a fascinating and complicated creature. Her situation was as close to hell as any mortal could imagine. But the fate she chose was one of not giving up, those who do that are entitled to their time to trample upon the weak. |

![]()

![]()

Walter thinks Alucard must be waiting for Seras to drink blood. Alucard thinks that, eventually, she will drink. Elsewhere in the HQ, Seras is trying to eat. |

![]()

![]()

She tries some soup, but spits it out immediately. Integra throws a medical blood bag down, and asks her why she refuses to drink blood. She's not human any more, so it's time she accepted that. |

![]()

![]()

She removes one of her gloves and cuts her finger with a knife. She says she doesn't want this to get infected, so she wants Seras to kiss it for her. Seras is hesitant, but Integra says that's an order. Seras eventually licks the blood from Integra's finger. |

![]()

![]()

Integra tells her that's good, but she needs to be careful not to bite. She says that was a few drops of pure, virgin blood, and asks Seras if she feels better. Seras sheepishly says she does, and thanks her. Integra tells her to gear up and be ready for deployment, as they've lost contact with the Eagle. They assume it's the work of Millennium. |

![]()

![]()

Elsewhere, Anderson has slaughtered a group of men who tried to attack him. He is contacted by Maxwell, and he says information is being leaked to Millennium, as he's been attacked four times since he got here. Maxwell says Millennium has contacts all across the world, and tells Anderson to stay alert. Anderson asks what Millennium's next move is going to be. Maxwell says Millennium has set its sights on England. Anderson says things have turned out just as Maxwell thought they would, but thinks he should have shown more backbone. The Major called their God a mad man, but Maxwell says the Major isn't interested in them, his attention is focused on Hellsing and Alucard. With that in mind, he thinks actions would speak louder than words, and reveals he is going to prepare a surprise attack. The Pope issued the mobilization order some time ago, and transferred control of several groups to him. Anderson says this almost feels like a crusade, and Maxwell says that's exactly what it is, only this time they hunt a War God. |

![]()

![]()

This time, they face Mars! They'll destroy castle after castle, pillage town after town, and use their mangled corpses to build monuments to the price of such insolence! He calls Anderson the instrument of divine will, and tells him to return to headquarters by whatever means he sees fit. As the call ends, several more men move in on Anderson. He turns around and starts shouting Mars. |

![]()

![]()

They shoot him, to no effect. He starts killing them, and says it's time they had a taste of divine punishment. |

![]()

![]()

On the Eagle, Rip looks at a clock, and thinks it's just 36 hours and 15 minutes. She can't wait! Back in England, Penwood tells Integra that they lost contact with the Eagle 18 hours ago. The ship is currently located 300 meters off the coast of Pollington Bay. Satellite photos reveal the ship is now flying Millennium's colors, which is why they've called Integra. |

![]()

![]()

Another officer explains that the Eagle has ignored all emergency hails, but satellite photos have not only revealed the Nazi emblem, but the presence of a lone individual on deck, holding a parasol. Two SAS platoons are currently approaching the Eagle via helicopter, in order to assess the situation, and bring this to a resolution. Integra tells Penwood that the SAS are defenseless against what's out there, and tells him to cancel the operation and order them to return immediately. |

![]()

![]()

The two SAS helicopters are suddenly shot down. Someone reports that it wasn't the Eagle that fired on them, someone fired at them from the deck. And it was reported that it was a single musket shot. Integra says they're under direct orders from the Queen, and as they're assuming what's happened is the work of vampires, they will be assuming jurisdiction. |

![]()

![]()

Integra asks Penwood if he has anything to add. He tells her good hunting, and hands control of this operation over to the Hellsing organization. Integra says good, and then she and Walter leave. They discuss what to do, as the Eagle isn't launching any attacks, but they do open fire when they approach. Integra says they can't just ignore it, but moving vampires over large bodies of water is problematic. She thinks about sending their own vampires via another battleship, but Walter says that the preparation and the voyage would take too long. And they can't count on the Eagle staying put. |

![]()

![]()

He suggests using a faster vessel, but Integra says the Eagle has high caliber anti aircraft and gatling guns, a speedboat would be lost in a hail of bullets. She thinks they could try dropping them in from above, but Walter says the Eagle has anti aircraft ordinance, so they couldn't get a plane anywhere near it. He thinks about using an aircraft with a lot of decoy chaff, but Integra says that wouldn't be able to fool those magic bullets. Alucard then appears, and says that their only hope is to find a way to get him onto the flight deck of that ship. Walter says he knows of an aircraft that could get Alucard onboard, but there may only be one in existence. |

![]()

![]()

Later on, three fighter jets fire missiles at the Eagle. Rip shoots them all down before they hit the ship, and then also destroys the fighter planes. As she does this, she sings Das Wild in Fluren und Triften. |

![]()

![]()

Rip continues to sing, but suddenly stops and falls to her knees. She says that it's him, and begins to panic. On the bridge, the Nazis see something on the radar, approaching at a speed of mach 2.8, at an altitude of 85,000. One of them thinks it's just a reconnaissance craft, but Rip screams over the radio that it's him. |

![]()

![]()

She screams that it's the madness, and he's come for her. She loads her musket and takes aim at the aircraft, which is diving towards the Eagle. Inside it is Alucard. |

![]()

![]()

The Nazi realizes this aircraft is going to ram them, so they start to move the ship, and open fire with the guns. The aircraft continues to dive, avoiding all of the fire. Rip lies down and fires a shot from her musket. |

![]()

![]()

It hits the aircraft several times, badly damaging it. The Nazis celebrate, but Rip says she can hear a voice calling her. The voice is saying he's coming for her. |

![]()

![]()

Alucard releases his Cromwell restrictions, and materializes out of the aircraft. It crashes into the Eagle, causing a large explosion. The wreckage and fire kills several Nazis, as Rip watches the flames. |

![]()

![]()

She watches as Alucard stands before her, and becomes terrified. She recalls something the Major once told her, about how Der Freischütz ends. Caspar, having trifled with the black huntsmen Samiel, is whisked away to hell for his sins. His corpse is then thrown into the bottom of a ravine, to be eaten by wolves. The Major had told Rip to prepare herself, for when Samiel comes to collect her. Alucard walks up to Rip, who continues to not move. |

![]()

![]()

Alucard says those who dare to impersonate the dead are judged to join their ranks. Alucard is about to grab her, but is then shot several times. The remaining Nazis fire on him, and one says they have to hold out a while longer. Rip manages to run off. |

![]()

![]()

The Nazis see that Alucard is a monster, and hit him with everything they have. But he unleashes his powers, and the Nazis are quickly torn apart. |

![]()

![]()

The alarm clock goes off, and rings until Alucard stomps on it. He asks the cowering Rip what she's going to do. After sniveling for a few more seconds... |

![]()

![]()

...she regains her composure, and says her bullet punishes without distinction. She fires a shot from her musket, which hits Alucard and pushes him back. It hits him again. |

![]()

![]()

Rip starts yelling the word "again", as the bullet repeatedly hits Alucard, knocking him towards the front of the ship. But he then manages to stop the bullet... |

![]()

![]()

...by grabbing it with his mouth. He crushes it with his teeth, and says he just caught her. As Alucard approaches her, Rip is too scared to move, and Alucard punches her in the face. He picks her and her musket up, and uses the weapon to pin her to the wall, stabbing it through her chest. |

![]()

![]()

As Rip's blood goes everywhere, Alucard starts licking it up. He then stands up, and bites down onto Rip's neck, sucking her blood. |

![]()

![]()

Schrödinger appears, and has a message from the Major. The Major tells Rip that the operation was a success. No matter how many times you cast stones upon the waters, or how many times you stomp your boots upon the creeping shadows, they'll never submit to your will. That's the river of death, and life and death, when viewed with the proper perspective, and really just one big hoax. Immortal, invincible, undefeated and almighty... it's ludicrous. But they can cast light upon the shadow, and through her sacrifice, they'll bring Alucard to submission. Doc is about to fry her, but the Major says not to be hasty. Rip fulfilled her mission perfectly, and deserves a hunter's death. Doc thinks that's generous of him. |

![]()

![]()

The Major salutes Rip Van Winkle, and says goodbye to her. The other Nazis all say their goodbyes to her. Back on the ship, Alucard finishes consuming Rip, and stands there with her musket. |

![]()

![]()

The Nazis see Alucard laughing. The Major wonders if Alucard is having fun, as war should be fun after all. He tells him to watch as his works unfold, and watch the collapses of the British empire. He tells the Nazis that he likes war, no, he loves war! He loves holocausts, blitzkriegs, defenses lines, sieges, charges, mop up operations and retreats. He loves every act of war that can occur upon this Earth! |

![]()

![]()

The Major goes on to say how much he loves war, such as when he sees a fresh recruit stabbing a long dead enemy over and over. The sight of deserters being strung up from a street lamp is an irresistible pleasure. There's nothing more arousing than the sounds made by prisoners of war dropping like flies, screaming in agony as they're mowed down. He also loves it when his own forces are losing, such as when his men have to duck around like vermin to avoid being bombed. All he asks for is war, war so grand it would make hell itself tremble. He asks his men what they really want, do they wish for further war as he does? A merciless, bloody war, which could sweep in like a tempest and not even leave ravens to scavenge from this Earth? |

![]()

![]()

The Nazis all start chanting the word "war" in German. The Major says war is what they will have, and they are a clenched fist, ready to strike down all who oppose them. But after enduring half a century wallowing in the darkness, a simple, ordinary war will no longer be sufficient. They need a massive war, a war beyond any other that man's history has ever known! They are but a single battalion, remnants of a defeated army with numbers less than 1,000 strong. However, he believes each of his old warriors is equal to a thousand of the enemy. They represent a force that could easily defeat a force of a million and one men. |

![]()

![]()

It's time for the ones who sent them screaming to oblivion to lie screaming themselves. They'll drag them out of bed by the hair, and remind them or what they are. They'll remind them of what it feels like to live in fear, and that there are more things between heaven and hell that are dreamt of in their philosophy. Their group of 1,000 vampires is going to burn this world down to ash, and soon Europe's charred remains will luminate the night sky. He's brought them all back, as he promised he would, to their favorite battlefield, and back to their beloved war! He tells all soldiers of the Millennium battalion that they'll bring the enemy hell. The zeppelin fleet continues to fly towards London. |
