Walter: Sir Integra. In light of your orders to bolster our current Hellsing membership, I've taken the liberty of hiring professional mercenaries.

Integra: Mercenaries? Men motivated by a lust for money. Can we trust such soldiers?

Walter: Normally I would worry, but these men are proper professionals. As long as they have a contract, and get their money on time, the Wild Geese will never break their word.

The Wild Geese are in the middle of a firefight, and there are bombs raining down around them. The leader of the group, Captain Vernedead, tells everyone to get their heads back into the game. Their employers don't care if they're dropping bombs on them, since they can just buy more mercenaries -there's no shortage of idiots who will shoot guns for money. Another soldier then says they've received word that the palace has surrendered, so they're now out of a job. Vernedead says he's been working on something.

He then suddenly throws a knife, which hits a terrorist in the throat, killing him. Vernedead says that their next job is in a city of fog.

The Wild Geese have arrived at the Hellsing HQ. The group wonder what they're going to be doing here, and Vernedead says he can't put this any other way: they're going to get paid to kill monsters. Some of the group think this is a joke, but Integra appears and says it's true. She tells them that the enemies are immortal creatures who sustain themselves by drinking human blood. Their job is to fight these monsters with bullets, garlic and holy water. They must put a stake through the vampire's heart, cut its head off, burn the corpse, scatter the ashes at a crossroads... for further instructions, consult Bram Stoker.

Most of the group think vampires don't exist, but she tells them they're mistaken. Her group have helped maintain a state of blissful ignorance, as for over a century the Hellsing organization has served the British empire, fighting a secret war against the forces of darkness. She then presents them with a genuine vampire, and points to Seras.

Vernedead can't believe this, and asks if she's really a vampire. She says she is, and says hello. As all of the Wild Geese laugh, Integra tells Seras to show them something to make them stop laughing. Seras beckons Vernedead to come on, but he continues laughing, and says if she's meant to be a vampire, then he's Frankenstein's monster. He approaches Seras...

...but she flicks him. She does this a few more times, sending him crashing to the ground. He realizes Seras really is some kind of monster! He asks if they're really telling him that girl is a vampire.

Alucard says she is, and appears through a wall. He says that the police girl may be the lowest of the low, but a vampire is still a vampire. He thinks the Wild Geese are a pathetic bunch of sniveling cowards, and asks Integra if she really thinks they'll be any use to them. Walter appears and says he tried to stop Alucard, but then tells Integra that a most unusual letter arrived in the post today. Integra sees that the letter is from Enrico Maxwell, of the Iscariot organization.

Later on, Integra and Walter are at a museum, but Maxwell is nowhere to be seen. Integra wonders if this is a trap, but Walter doubts that Iscariot would be bold enough to stage a daylight attack, especially in public and in the heart of enemy territory. Maxwell then arrives, along with Renaldo. Maxwell realizes they're late, but as he goes towards Integra, she tells him that's close enough. She wants to know what business the Vatican has here, and why send the Iscariots, the dirtiest of their dirty little secrets?

Maxwell introduces himself, and says he is the head of the Iscariot organization. He says it's an honor to meet her, but she says she really doesn't care who he is, she just wants to know what he wants. Maxwell says there's no need to take such a harsh tone, as they didn't come all the way to England just to pick a fight with her. Integra says she doesn't believe him, as they've done nothing but show contempt for their treaties. The latest incident with Anderson in Northern Island was inexcusable -he killed two of her best men, and she barely managed to escape with her head still attached!

Maxwell tells her to shut up, and asks if she really expected them to just let her do as she pleased. As for the two men, if two million protestant scum had died he still wouldn't have shed a tear. He's here under direct orders from the Pope, otherwise he wouldn't of bothered with filthy creatures like her. He tells her to just shut up and pay attention, and then calls her a miserable English sow. Alucard then appears, and says there is nothing like Iscariot to inspire the fear of God.

Maxwell tells Alucard that it's a great pleasure to make his acquaintance. Alucard says it's a pleasure to meet him as well, but now he must say goodbye. He isn't going to let him live for calling his master a sow, and takes aim. Maxwell decides to make this fight interesting, and yells out Anderson's name.

Anderson stomps down the hall. He is determined to fight Alucard, despite Maxwell yelling at him and telling him to stop. Alucard draws his guns, as Anderson pulls out two bayonets. But before the fight can start...

...Seras suddenly bursts in, along with a Japanese tourist group. They get between Alucard and Anderson.

Alucard says this isn't the time or place for a fight, and Anderson thinks he may have a point. Alucard says he's going back to sleep, as getting up in the middle of the day is exhausting. Anderson says he's going back to Rome, but thinks this is an excellent museum -perhaps next time Maxwell will allow him to bring some of the children from the orphanage. Maxwell says that won't be a problem.

As Anderson walks off, he swears that next time, he'll rip Alucard to bloody pieces. Integra laughs, and tells Maxwell that it seems they both have to contend with some rather difficult subordinates. She asks the pig if he's done, and he says he quite is. Now that the violence is out of the way, perhaps she'd like to join him in the cafe garden.

As Seras leads the tourist group away, Walter tells her well done. Seras thanks him.

Maxwell tells Integra he knows she has been looking into the word "Millennium", and that she also hasn't uncovered anything of value. He reveals he does have some information regarding Millennium, and asks if she wants their files. Integra says yes, and even says please.

Maxwell opens up his briefcase, and tosses a small book out of it. He says that Millennium started over half a century ago, during the Second World War. Nazi party loyalists were preparing to flee from Germany, and an extraction operation began just as allied forces took the country.

They needed enough time to evacuate, whilst still standing their ground long enough to not be considered traitors. The majority of these party members and soldiers ended up in South America, where they found refuge with a number of Nazi sympathizers. He then says those survivors are the Millennium group, and the word Millennium also refers to the classified operation to move these individuals and supplies to South America, and the military unit that carried out the orders. The reason he knows all of this is because his side helped the Nazis do it -the Vatican gave their full support, and helped create the Millennium group!

Nearby, two of the Millennium group -Doc and the Major -are listening in. Doc thinks their enemies are starting to put things together. But the Major thinks they don't know anything about anything yet. Doc thinks the Major is enjoying this, but the Major says that's hardly the word for this feeling. He's ecstatic! He's giddy with anticipation, as just think of the terrible, bloody struggle that awaits them! He says it'll be the greatest struggle of them all.

Back in the Hellsing HQ, Walter and Alucard discuss that it seems their troubles are the work of the Nazis again. Alucard says he had a feeling the Nazis were involved, as this whole mess feels very familiar. Walter asks why that is, and Alucard says there aren't many people willing to list the undead to do their fighting. Hellsing, the Nazis, and himself are the only ones. They assumed the Nazi's undead research institute was completely destroyed over 50 years ago, during the war. The two of them killed every last Nazi they found. Walter realizes how long it has been. Alucard tells him that growing old seems awful, but Walter says that to Englishmen, old age is something to enjoy.

He then tells Alucard that they're sending him to South America. They aren't the sort of people to back down, especially when someone is trying to pick a fight with them. Alucard tells him that's a very British attitude, so perhaps some discretion may serve him better. Walter says if something can be achieved easily, it probably isn't worth it. Integra then enters the room, and believes Walter must have explaining everything.

She says her orders are simple: search and destroy. Alucard tells his master he'll do whatever she wishes.

Sometime later, Alucard, Vernedead and Seras fly towards South America. Vernedead notices Alucard casually drinking wine, and thinks a vampire doing that on a private jet heading to Rio de Janeiro in broad daylight... this story has gotten everything wrong. Or maybe not everything...

...as Seras has been locked in her coffin. She demands to be let out. Later on, the group arrive in Rio de Janeiro, and Alucard goes to check in at his hotel. Under the name of Mr. Brennan, Alucard finds out he will be staying in the penthouse. Vernedead tells some guys outside to bring the stuff in and take it up to the penthouse.

The hotel staff bring in two coffins, one of which still has Seras in it. The receptionist tells Alucard he can't have such large items, but Alucard says it's fine. The receptionist is about to call his manager, but Alucard walks up to him.

Alucard tells him it's fine, and the receptionist repeats what he says. Alucard walks off, leaving Vernedead to wonder what the hell it was Alucard just did... was that an evil love beam?! As they get to the penthouse, Vernedead can't believe how nice this room is -his own hotel is a trash heap on the edge of town! Alucard tells him cheap hotels can be extremely charming.

Outside, someone reports to someone else that the guests have checked into the hotel. They quickly leave when the door opens. Vernedead leaves, and tells Alucard that they'll start the investigation tomorrow. He'll come by once the sun sets, as he knows vampires prefer to work at night... according to the movies. Alucard says he can hardly wait.

In Rome, Maxwell reports to the Pope. The Pope says it won't be easy, cleaning up this 50 year old mess. He's sorry that he's always asking Maxwell to perform such unpleasant tasks. Maxwell tells him to think nothing of such tasks, as Iscariot is a blade, to be wielded in whatever way he sees fit. But he thinks they should let the heathens fight it out among themselves. With any luck, not only will they dig their own graves, but will pay for the funeral as well.

Seras wakes up, and sees a strange man floating in the air. He says he's the spirit of her gun, he's the great Harkonnen! Seras freaks out and runs away, but Harkonnen tells her not to run away, at least not that way. She's been working so hard, and he wants to give her his support! She can go ahead and ask him anything she wants to, and she doesn't need to hold back.

Seras says she does have one little question: she's had a terrible series of misfortunes, and has landed in the most dreadful of circumstance. How long will she be plagued by this bedlam? The spirit doesn't give much of an answer, causing Seras to cry and run off again. The spirit exclaims he didn't mean it!

He tells her that what is happening now is not a dream. Something very, very bad is going to happen to her any second now! Seras screams, but then sees Alucard, who tells her to wake up.

Seras says good morning, then gets up. Alucard tells her that there is something interesting going on. The lights go out in the room, and Seras then sees a few helicopters flying around outside.

She goes up to the window and sees a mass of police units and media crews waiting outside the hotel. The reports state that just 30 minutes ago, two armed terrorists have killed several of the hotel's guests and staff, and have now situated themselves on the top floor along with taking a dozen people hostage. At his hotel, Vernedead sees the news report.

When he sees pictures of Seras and Alucard listed as the terrorists, he can't believe it! At Hellsing HQ, Walter is dealing with phone calls from members of the Round Table, whilst Integra thinks the enemy has declared war on them. In Rome, Anderson is also watching the news report, and wants to see the freaks dance and show him some hell.

Alucard laughs, and says that now, it's time for them to go to war. Outside, the higher ups say their teams are ready, and advise them to shoot to kill -they aren't taking prisoners, the terrorists are to be shot on sight. One of them asks Tubalcain Alhambra if he needs anything else. Tubalcain claps and tells them all this is very good, and he can't think of any other tasks for them at the moment. They're on their way to the entrance to the kingdom of immortality.

Inside the hotel, the SWAT teams start securing floors and making their way up. Walters tells Integra he's been informed that a SWAT team has entered the building. Integra wonders how Alucard will handle the situation. Walter believes Alucard will feel that the SWAT team will be an obstacle barring his way to the main objective, and history has made clear his favorite tactics for dealing with obstacles. Integra asks if that even means humans, just regular, ignorant men. Walter reminds her who Alucard really is: a monster.

One of the SWAT teams storm the penthouse, and come across Alucard. They start shooting him.

Alucard gets shot up, but as the SWAT team is about to leave, he tells them that was a very good try. But he can't be killed by dogs, as it takes a man to kill a monster. He revives...

...and quickly slaughters most of the SWAT team.

One guy left calls Alucard a monster. Alucard walks up to him and asks what he is: a man, a dog, a monster? The guy shoots himself in the head, which displeases Alucard. Seras then gets out of her hiding space, and sees what's happened.

Alucard tells her to prepare for battle. She says these people were humans, and he asks what her point is. She repeats that these people were human beings, but Alucard says he doesn't care what these things are. He grabs her and says they came here to try and kill them, so it no longer matters what they are. They must die and be slaughtered, left to rot in their graves like filth. This is just the way it is, and no one has the power to change that -not God, the Devil or her! Seras says she knows, but...

Alucard drops her and says this is just the way it is. He tells her to come along now, as it's no time to be a coward. He then calls Integra, and she asks him what he did to that SWAT team.

He says he killed them, he slaughtered them like cattle. Now all he requires is her orders. He believes that the senior officials of the local police are under Millennium's control. These people who stand against him may be innocent humans, but he'll kill them. He'll do it without hesitation or the slightest hint of regret, he can do this for her. He'll do what needs to be done, but asks what she'll do. Everything is ready, but he's waiting for orders. Integra lights up a cigar.

She yells at him to not dare question her resolve, and says she's already given him his marching orders. He's to search and destroy, and any resistance he encounters is to be crushed, as Hellsing doesn't run from its enemies. She orders him to kill them all, and leave nothing but bloody stains in his wake! Alucard laughs and tells her this is excellent news indeed... she still knows how to inspire his passion. By his master's orders, he hopes she enjoys the show. He then hangs up.

Integra asks Walter if she made the right decision. He says he's only her butler, it's not his place to pass judgment on her course of action. He simply hopes his services help her make her decisions. He then says he'll go and start a fresh pot of tea. Back in the hotel, another SWAT team is waiting outside the penthouse, but Alucard then walks out.

They start firing at him, but he shoots back, and wipes out the team in seconds.

Millennium are listening in to the SWAT team's frantic calls, and Doc asks if this is it. The Major says the bloodbath has only just begun, and Alucard isn't even close to being finished yet. Doc asks how they should proceed, and the Major says these little police men are like sprinkling water on a raging fire. He knows how to liven things up, and orders for Tubalcain to attack. Back in the hotel, what's left of a SWAT team retreat to an elevator.

They close the doors, as Alucard approaches. But he uses his powers to get one of the team to open the doors back up.

The rest of the team end up shooting him, and throw him out of the elevator. Alucard shoots him, and then prizes the elevator doors open.

He shoots everyone inside the elevator, then walks out. He senses more police in the lobby, and smashes them outside the hotel.

They land on the flagpoles, and are skewered. Alucard walks out of the hotel, and the Major says he loves this glorious spectacle. He's missed his beautiful war so much, and he thinks Alucard is so hideous it makes his spine tingle. This is what he wants: a creature who dances between life and death, who mocks the borders between sanity and madness. He thinks that Alucard is truly inhuman.

He says he can hear the symphony of war. Back at the hotel, Tubalcain walks out and tells Alucard he really shouldn't play with his food. He introduces himself, and says that some people have taken to calling him the Dandyman. Alucard asks him if the poor souls he's killed belonged to him. Tubalcain says their superiors were fools, allowing their men to end up in such a state. It's truly amazing what some people will do under the promise of immortality.

Alucard says it's taking advantage of idiots, as they both know there's no such thing as immortality. Tubalcain says those people still serve a purpose, after all, how many rounds of his holy ammunition does he have left now? Alucard wants to know what he's here for, and Tubalcain says he's here to take Alucard's unlife. Millennium has given him the task of bringing him in, or at least a sample of him. Hundreds of playing cards surround Tubalcain.

He throws one, which causes an explosion. Alucard's face gets cut, and he says he gets it -there's no reasoning with them. So he has no choice but to keep killing them until there are none left standing. He thinks Tubalcain's masters didn't learn anything from the first time he decimated them.

Tubalcain resumes his attack, so Alucard leaps around. He gets in front of the police, and Tubalcain's cards blow them away. Alucard starts firing back, as more of the police get hit.

Alucard and Tubalcain run back towards the hotel, and Tubalcain gets hit. But he vanishes into many cards.

There is suddenly an explosion behind Alucard, knocking him down. Tubalcain attacks again, but Alucard runs up the wall of the hotel. Tubalcain jumps up and follows him, and tells Alucard he's a disappointment.

Nearby, the police superiors are worried about Tubalcain, as if anything happens to him, they won't get what's coming to them. Before they can say anything else, someone walks in and shoots them all. It's Vernedead, who exits and causes an explosion behind him.

He thinks that's one more step towards earning his paycheck, and wonders where that helicopter is. Up on the roof, Alucard realizes he can't stop bleeding, and thinks Tubalcain's cards must be very special. He calls Dandyman very amusing. Tubalcain asks him if he's ready for another round, and he's sure they have a special place ready for him in the deepest pits of hell.

Alucard laughs, and says he's pleased. The world would be so boring without idiots to amuse him. A new Millennium group... he reminds him of that little Major and his group. He tells Tubalcain it's time to play, and he wants to hear him squeal like a pig. Tubalcain thinks he's gone soft in the head, and throws another card at him.

As it explodes, Alucard changes his form. Tubalcain thinks he's trying to run again, but then has to defend himself from a hail of bullets. Nearby, Seras fires away.

She runs out of ammo, and switches to the Harkonnen. Tubalcain slices the shell in half, but it still causes an explosion. Tubalcain searches for Alucard...

...and throws some cards whenever he thinks he's seen him. But Alucard then appears behind him. Tubalcain turns around and tries to attack with his cards, but Alucard grabs his arm, and shatters one of his legs.

Alucard tells the pig he wants to hear it, and tells him to squeal! The two go to strike each other, but Tubalcain's arm is shattered.

Alucard says that's checkmate. He's obliged to give Tubalcain a thorough interrogation, so he'll tell him everything he knows... or at least, his blood will. He bites down onto Tubalcain's throat.

Alucard learns that Millennium wants war. Tubalcain is then set on fire, just as Seras runs up. Alucard finishes consuming Tubalcain, and starts clapping.

A helicopter then appears, and Vernedead has taken the pilot hostage. He offers Alucard and Seras a lift. Alucard says they ruin the countries they govern and the people in their care. They slaughter their enemies, and sacrifice all of their allies. They'll keep killing until there is nothing left but to destroy themselves... it'll never be enough. They're encourageable warmongers, and asks the Major if he agrees.

The Major says the Dandyman looks like a broken rag doll. Their opponent is stronger than any of them could have imagined. Doc says he's sorry, and he still has much work to do. The Major tells him not to be ridiculous. This is the dawn of their great success, as the things they've learnt today will serve them well against Alucard in the future. He tells Doc that 50 years of hard work are about to pay off, as he'll build monsters, and turn them into soldiers. They are the last battalion!

They head up to the bridge of their zeppelin, and the Major says it's time they went back home for a bit. He tells the zeppelin's captain to head back home, as they've kept the men at the opera house waiting long enough. As the zeppelin flies through the sky, the Major says they're coming, and he doesn't care how many try to stop him. Anyone who dares to stand in his way will be destroyed... welcome to this crazy time!
