Terry walks out to the ring. Ripper says that Lily has failed, and Hopper asks Geese what they should do. Geese asks if they've found Tung yet, and when he finds out they haven't, he says he must be hiding in the stands somewhere. He tells them to find Tung.

Several men start running around the stands, looking for Tung. But he's in disguise, thanks to a lady helping him out.

Terry's fight against Richard Meyer begins. Richard is a capoeira master, and does several powerful kicks. Nearby, Joe and Andy are watching. Joe says that Terry seems to be enjoying himself. He thinks Andy is like a beast, his fangs always ready for the hunt. But Terry is solid, like a tree with its roots sunk deep in the earth. Terry blocks another of Richard's kicks, but it's still strong enough to knock him down.

Terry gets up, and thinks Richard has finally run out of moves. Richard says not to underestimate him, and does another kick. But Terry leaps up as fast as lightning, causing Richard to fall down.

Terry has used the rising tackle, and he then knees Richard's gut, knocking him out. Terry is the victor.

The tournament continues, with Billy, Raiden, Joe...

...Andy and Terry all making their way through it. The quarter final matches are about to begin.

Hopper reports to Geese, and tells him that they're ready. He and Ripper have both got sniper rifles, and Hopper tells Geese that they can take the shot at any time. The first match of the quarter finals has Terry against Andy. Geese thinks that Tung won't get to teach his technique to either of these men.

The fighters are told to start, and Andy says he won't hold back. Terry says he expected nothing less. Joe is watching, but then notices something. He yells out to Terry and Andy, and whilst Terry looks over, Andy leaps up, planning to attack Terry..

Geese clicks his fingers, giving the signal for his men to fire. One of them takes a shot, only for Joe to leap into the ring and get hit. Terry catches him.

Hopper gets ready to fire again, and takes aim at Andy's head, but then the power goes out. The audience starts yelling and asks what's going on, and then the emergency lights get turned on. But everyone sees that the ring is empty.

Geese tells his men to seal off the exits, and kill Terry and the others immediately. Elsewhere in the stadium, Lily is the one who cut the power, and she leads Terry, Andy and Joe out. She takes them to a room on an upper floor, and throws down a rope ladder.

Terry tells her to go first, but she says the wounded go first. Terry takes Joe down the ladder, and Lily tells Andy to go next. Andy starts to go down.

Terry shouts up to Lily, and tells her to come down. But Geese has found Lily, and tells her that without him, she's still be in the gutter. He says it's over, and tells her to die.

Terry watches in horror, as Lily gets blasted out of the window. She hits the ground, and Terry runs over to her, but she says she's sorry -it's her fault that his father died. Terry tells her that's not her fault, it was Geese just using her.

Lily thinks Terry knew all along, but he was still kind to her. With her last words, she tells Terry that she was glad to have known him. Everyone then hears Geese laughing, and he tells them to keep Lily's body, if they'd like!

Terry yells that he'll kill him for this, but Geese says only if they survive. He snaps his fingers, and a large group of his men -including Raiden and Billy -run out.

However, the group has to move out of the way when someone tries to ram them with a car. It's Tung, who tells Terry and the others that there's nothing left to do now but run. They get into the car, and Tung hits the accelerator.

As they head towards the gate, Billy leaps up. He strikes through the car's window, and hits Tung in the chest. Terry has to take the wheel.

The car crashes through the gate, and whilst Geese watches them escape, he thinks he can just let them run. Tung has just taken a mortal wound, so he can take his secret technique to his grave!

Tung is taken to a hospital, but the doctor says he has lung trauma, falling vitals, and is comatose. Only sheer willpower is keeping him alive. Andy asks him if he can do anything, but he says no, and says that Tung may not last until the morning. When Andy hears this, he says he can't believe it, and runs off.

Terry is about to follow him, but Tung suddenly wakes up, and grabs his arm. The doctor says this is impossible, but Tung tells Terry that there's no time, and to take him outside. Andy runs out of the hospital, thinking that Geese has now killed his father and Tung. He'll kill him for this, no matter what it takes!

As Andy leaps out, he sees Joe waiting for him. Joe calls him a great fighter, but he can't take on everyone alone. And he still owes him for that hospital bill, for that fight they had in Japan -so he can't have him going off and dying. Andy says he won't die, not until he's avenged his father.

Tung tells Terry that he's chosen him over Andy, to be his successor. The eight extremes holy fist is based on natural principles. Andy and Geese fight against nature, and are controlled by emotion and desire. The secret technique is something they could never use effectively. He tells Terry to burn this lesson into his heart, then says he will now demonstrate the technique. Terry tells him he must not strain himself.

Tung says there's no time to lose, and he knows what he's doing. He tells Terry to copy his stance, and says the eight extremes holy fist's most powerful technique is the whirlwind punch. The technique draws strength from the Earth itself, and by drawing chi from the Earth, you can then release it at your enemies. He says first, you much concentrate your legs, and feel the chi of the Earth. Tung stretches his arms out, and goes into a stance. He starts to glow with a blue aura.

An after image of himself appears, and he tells Terry to try it. Terry tries to do it, but he falls to his knees, and says he can't, he can't feel the chi of the Earth.

Tung tells him not to think like an animal, but to think like a tree. Feel the Mother Earth's affection, down at his roots. Terry thinks about what Tung has just said, and then thinks of Lily. He tries to use the technique again, and this time, he does it -he is surrounded with a blue aura. He tells Tung that he can feel it.

Tung tells him to never forget that feeling. He then demonstrates the whirlwind punch, which hits Terry, and knocks him into a pool of water. Terry gets up, and says that was amazing.

But he then notices that Tung has died. He falls to his knees and thanks him.

Meanwhile, Andy and Joe head to where Geese is via a boat. Joe thinks they'll be fewer guards at the back door, but Andy says to think again. Several men appear, but Andy takes them on all by himself.

Defeating everyone, he and Joe then start running, and head up some steps. But as they reach the top, someone calls out to them, telling them to hold it.

It's Billy, who says they're a bit tougher than the hired help. They've wrecked the King of Fighters tournament, so now it's payback time! He leaps down, and attacks Andy. Andy jumps back, only for Billy to take a swipe at him with his staff, knocking him down.

Before Joe can help, Raiden appears, and says he'll be fighting him. He spits a load of poison into his face, and then charges into him.

Andy calls out to Joe, but Billy tells him to pay attention, otherwise he'll spear him like he did the old man! Andy avoids several of Billy's strikes, but then takes one to the chest.

He collapses. Meanwhile, Geese is informed about what's going on, but he says he doesn't care. He says Billy and Raiden can handle them, so he doesn't want to be bothered.

Raiden picks up Joe, and starts headbutting him repeatedly. Billy thinks Raiden may be enjoying himself, but his own opponent is practically dead, and that's no fun! As he rolls Andy over, Andy suddenly kicks him in the face.

Billy says this is more like it, and uses his whirlwind cudgel technique. But Andy says he's already seen that move, and does a kick. It breaks Billy's staff, and also hits Billy, sending him flying back into a statue. Andy then dashes over and uses his splitting shadow fist technique. This elbow attack hits Billy in the chest, defeating him.

Raiden calls out to Billy, but Joe then grabs his hand. Joe tells him not to gloat before he's won, and then hits him with a powerful move...

...called the hurricane upper. Andy reveals he survived Billy's strike by having stuck a small metal plate under his shirt. Joe says it looks like he's avenged his teacher, but Andy says the real fight is yet to come. Their true enemy is up there.

Terry arrives at the same place Andy and Joe came to, and starts running, hoping he can get there in time. But Andy has already confronted Geese, and tells him he'll now pay for murdering his father. He should prepare to die!

Geese says he's impressed they defeated Billy and Raiden. He'll dispose of them himself, as an offering to Jeff's soul. Andy tells him he's going down, and charges forward. Geese stands in place, and then uses his gale fist technique.

Joe gets blown away, whilst Andy takes the brunt of the attack, and is sent flying.

Terry arrives, and runs up to Andy. Andy is still alive, and says he's sorry. He tells Terry that he'll have to avenge their father. Terry tells him not to talk, and to leave it to him. He confronts Geese, and Geese thinks that both brothers have come here seeking their deaths.

Terry says he'll never forgive him, and then uses a projectile attack, the power wave. This blows the bridge Geese was standing on to smithereens, but Geese suddenly appears right behind Terry, and says that was child's play.

Terry turns around and uses his burn knuckle move, only for Geese to avoid it, and strike Terry on his chest, knocking him back. Terry thinks that none of his techniques work against Geese.

Geese asks what's wrong, is he finished already? Terry stands up, and admits Geese is strong, but he can't afford to lose. Geese tells him that his brother said that, too. But can he survive the gale fist? He tells Terry to die, and then uses the move again.

But Terry is able to block it, which surprises Geese. He then sees the stance Terry is in. Terry starts to gather chi from the Earth, and says this is the final secret technique: the whirlwind punch!

Terry uses the move against Geese, but Geese is able to push Terry back. He tells Terry this is astonishing, but it's still not good enough to overcome his skill.

Terry thinks he can't release enough chi, and thinks he must feel Mother Earth's affection at his roots. After thinking of Jeff, Tung and Lily, he uses the move again, but this time it's different. He does a spinning kick, and calls it the wave motion whirlwind kick.

Geese gets hit by this, and this time, he gets blown away. He falls into the water, and Terry tells his father, Tung and Lily that he finally did it.

Andy tells Terry he did it, and Joe tells him he knew he was a great fighter. As Geese floats face down in the water, Terry says he didn't do it alone, he had some help. Their departed loved ones lent them his strength, and that's what let him defeat Geese. He looks at the sun, and says it's bright today.

Sometime later, Terry, Andy and Joe pay their respects at Jeff's grave. Joe says he's returning to Thailand, as he's got some title matches to fight. Andy says he's going on another training journey, as Tung chose Terry over him. He still has a lot to learn, and he's going to discipline himself so he can beat Terry, the next time they meet.

Terry says he's also going to travel, as he wants to learn how to drop deeper roots. The three say their farewells, and part ways.

Later on, Terry is on a boat, which sails away from South Town. He drops Lily's flower into the ocean, and then thinks about what's happened. He then turns around, and starts walking.
