The Three Stars Don't Cross Paths!!

Asam's three sons are introduced.

Asam tells Sara to go out and gather up his viceroys, who are his three sons: Satora, Kai and Bukou. The three sons arrive, asking why they have been called here and wondering if their father is finally going to stand down. Asam surprises them by saying that he is -he is going to go out and defeat the leader of the clan threatening his Kingdom. He tells them to sit down as he wishes to discuss who will take the throne whilst he is gone. The sons immediately break two of the three chairs for them, as they don't think they are needed. It is a question of who gets to sit in the remaining chair, something they all want. The three sons each grab the chair but end up shattering it. Asam tells them to go and wait outside whilst he makes his decision.



Kenshiro, Ryu and Sara, who have heard everything, come out from where they were hiding. Asam tells Kenshiro that his sons are all equal in terms of strength and fighting ability, but the place where they are most alike is personality -none of them are willing to back down or compromise. This is why he has never been able to leave his Kingdom, under the fear that his sons would each try and take over the place and split it in three.



Asam remembers that a Sage once told him that his sons were born under different colored stars -the red Emperor star, the blue Emperor star and the yellow Emperor star. The sage told him that these stars would never get along and he should choose only one, and kill the other two, or he will suffer for it later. Asam looked out to where his sons were, happily playing together, and could not bring himself to choose one. The sage unsympathetically insisted, only for Asam to kill him instead, saying he may be a King, but he is also a father. Asam went out to his sons and thought to himself that he could never abandon them. However, back in the present, Asam is unwilling to let his Kingdom be destroyed now. Kenshiro says he will help him with his plan.
