Kenshiro tells Raoh that Toki is waiting for him. It seems that the mighty Raoh is in trouble due to Kenshiro mastering the "Musou Tensei" technique, but he gets up and starts to laugh. How could the young Kenshiro possibly be the strongest Hokuto master? Raoh doesn't believe it and even if the rest of the world acknowledges his power, he never will.

He wants to continue fighting Kenshiro, but just as he is about to start he looks down and notices something...he's shaking! He, Raoh, is shaking...he finds such a thing to be impossible, but Kenshiro tells him that he is feeling fear.

Rihaku knows that whilst Raoh's heart may not feel fear, his body is and is trembling because of it. Raoh says again that this is impossible, he cannot feel fear! But then Toki's spirit appears behind Kenshiro. Raoh begins to think, does Toki agree that Raoh is fearful now? He thinks back to that day at the dojo...

One of the students at the Hokuto Shinken dojo was thrown out. Ryuken bluntly told the student, who was called Kim, that he shall leave this place. With his abilities, further training would only be a waste, and he does not have the potential to become the Hokuto Shinken successor. Kim asked for one more chance, but Ryuken told him that he would never enter through this door again, and then shut it on him. Kim begged for a little while, but clearly Ryuken was not coming back. Kim left the dojo, and after walking a little while, fell down in the snow.

As he got up, he saw that Kenshiro was there and had retrieved his bag for him. Kim was angry, and hit Kenshiro, saying he did not need his sympathy. But Ken just picked his bag up and passed it to him. Kim then started to cry and wondered why Kenshiro is giving him such a sad look, before it sunk in that he can no longer practice Hokuto Shinken. Getting up, Kim said it was embarrassing, but it seems that crying about it has cleared his heart. He thanked Kenshiro and then left.

Kenshiro watched him go, unaware that up above Toki and Raoh had been watching. Kenshiro did this often to others and Raoh thought he was a fool for doing it, sympathy only clouds your own art. Toki disagreed, saying that Kenshiro may actually become the strongest of them all if he can turn his sadness into power. Ryuken had told him that, and he believed in his words. Raoh laughed at this and called his brother an idiot. To be a ruler and master, there is no room for sympathy. Raoh believed that the heavens would choose his own way of life over Kenshiro's.

Back in the present, Raoh thinks how he objected to Kenshiro's way of life and thought he was weak, but now it seems he fears him. He fears the youngest brother. Rihaku says he can see what caused Raoh's fear, it is the sorrow Kenshiro experienced with all of the battles he had with those men, and his love for Yuria. Raoh suddenly snaps out of it, saying he cannot accept this. He is the one who makes people feel fear, not the other way around. He is Ken-Oh, ruler of the century's end! He says he will crush Kenshiro's Musou Tensei with a technique of his own:

TENSHOU HONRETSU!

(Heaven's Command Charge!)

This projectile attack hits Kenshiro, but he does not show any signs of pain from it, despite it cutting into his face and ripping his jacket up. Charging up his own fighting spirit, Kenshiro simply tells Raoh that the rules of Hokuto...he will protect them.

Elsewhere, Yuria can sense Kenshiro and Raoh's fighting spirits and how powerful they have become. As the two warriors square off against each other once more, Raoh tries to batter Kenshiro with his fists, but his punches go straight through him! Kenshiro uses this time to cut into Raoh's face.

Ken says that this is enough -it's over. But Raoh suddenly goes quiet as both Ken and Rihaku see that he is ready to throw his own life away, he is prepared for a mutual death. After his own armor breaks off and his shirt is destroyed, Raoh tells Kenshiro that he can do whatever he wants, but no matter what happens, if he dies, he will take Kenshiro with him.

The two warrior's battle auras start to make the room crumble, and they slowly start to walk towards each other. However, just as they are about to be in each other's striking distance, Raoh steps on part of the floor which gives way. The entire room suddenly starts to violently shake.

Rihaku knows what this is and charges into Kenshiro, telling him to stay down. The room rocks with explosions and the floor gives way. Raoh does not move in time and falls from the top of the palace to the bottom in an instant. Covered in rubble, he starts to get up whilst cursing Rihaku for his stupid traps, since he was just one step away from defeating Kenshi...

"!"

Raoh has landed right next to Yuria! His fear turning to joy, Raoh sees that the heavens are once again on his side. Easily brushing aside the few guards, Raoh takes what he has been searching for.

With the palace heavily damaged, Raoh heads back to his horse with Yuria and and then rides away. Inside the ruins, two of Yuria's troops search the place, but fear the worst as it doesn't seem like anyone could have survived. Eventually they find both Kenshiro and Rihaku.

Whilst they have survived, Rihaku is wounded and Kenshiro cannot see. And the even worse news is that Yuria has been captured by Raoh. Handing Rihaku over to the guards, Ken starts to walk off, but Rihaku says it is his fault for what has happened. Ken tells him not to worry as he will go and stop Raoh now. Rihaku tells him not to go yet as he cannot see, but Ken says that there was once a blind man who still fought, and his spirit now lives within his heart. If he doesn't stop Raoh now, Raoh will go into a rage and destroy everything he touches.

Heading out of the ruined palace by himself, Kenshiro walls off into the sunset alone, saying just one thing: "Yuria...."
